U.S. College Basketball Tournament 2010
In the U.S., March is synonymous with college basketball and Google has made it easy to follow the action with our special webpage to get the latest results and see the arenas in 3D. Athens and Barcelona in 3D
We're adding 3D cities to Google Earth faster than ever. This month, be sure to fly over to Athens, Greece and Barcelona, Spain. Travel to the Parthenon and, while you're on the Acropolis, visit the Herodeion Theater, where performances have been held for nearly two thousand years. Next, travel to Barcelona and visit the Sagrada Familia. Then, head over to the Barcelona Cathedral in the city center. Have fun exploring in 3D!

Track U.S. Census Form Return Rates
Google and the U.S. Census Bureau recently announced the "Take 10" layer for Google Earth. With daily data updates through mid-April, you can track the percentage of mailed census forms returned by state, county, and census tract. The layer is available for download for use in Google Earth, and it can also be embedded in any website with a customized initial zoom using this handy gadget.

News from Google Earth Outreach
This month, Google Earth Outreach takes a look at two stories. First, we'll dive into the ocean and become virtual scuba divers on a tour created by the Pew Environment Group. Next, we'll look at some of the geographical annotations created to support disaster relief efforts following the earthquake in Chile. Please read more.

Changes to the Layers Panel
Last week we made changes to the Layers panel to try and simplify the browsing experience, but we know many users weren't happy with them. We've listened to the feedback and recently released more changes to make the separate layers available again in Google Earth. The "Labels" folder is still expandable, and you can now find "Parks and Recreation Areas" under "More". You can also use the "Place Categories" folder to browse specific place types, like schools or lodging. Lastly, we're working to restore the "Transportation" layers soon. We welcome your feedback as we continue to make changes to improve the experience for all of our users.
