Abstract

The filters (23,28) used in a system for removing volatile impurities from ground water have at least one pipe connection (26,29) for recirculating the cleaning gas or gas mixture to the borehole (10). The filter arrangement (23,28) has at least two stages, and at least after the first of these stages (23), and upstream of a throttling valve (25), a connection (26) is provided to the inlet pipe (17) which brings the cleaning gas or gas mixture to the borehole (10). The first filter stage (23) is a coarse filter, and at least one further stage for a finer filtration is provided. The second filtration stage (28) may take the form of a cold reactor for the removal of contaminants. The cleaning gas may be air, with or without the addition of carrier gases. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention is used for removing volatile impurities from ground water and from the surrounding earth. The proposed arrangement improves the effectiveness and economy of existing similar devices.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for expulsion volatile contaminants from groundwater and the earth through which it flows by generating Negative pressure in a contaminated groundwater area-driven well shaft with a channel to the Zu line of cleaning gases or gas mixtures among the Water level in the well shaft, with devices for draining suck the cleaning gas or gas mixture and with the Suction devices downstream filter devices.

An arrangement for cleaning contaminated groundwater leading layers have already been proposed (DE- PS 38 05 200). With that arrangement, fresh air from above the surface of the earth in a well shaft generated negative pressure to below the water table  introduced into the shaft. After flowing through the con contaminated groundwater, the air is removed from the shaft sucked and released to the outside again via a filter.

The invention has for its object the ge named, already proposed arrangement in its effectiveness to improve speed and costs.

The task is presented with an arrangement of a gangs mentioned type solved according to the invention in that the filter device has at least one connection to the zu line duct for the cleaning gases or gas mixtures for at least partial return of the gases to the well has shaft.

The at least partial recycling of the filtered gases the well shaft enables frequent reuse formation of the gases for cleaning the contaminated ground water. This makes the constant feeding fresh and possibly expensive special gases for cleaning over liquid. When using air for cleaning, the easy and inexpensive from above the earth's surface can be sucked in, offers the return of the filtered ten exhaust air the advantage that undesirable Oxidvorvor Reduce aisles in the groundwater layers can be changed.

The filter device for cleaning the exhaust air or contaminated cleaning gases can advantageously be designed in several stages, the first filter stage the coarse filtering and the further stages of the fine fil serve the gases or gas mixtures. The one with this  multi-stage arrangement is achievable filter effect much larger than a one-stage version. The arrangement of a connection to the supply channel of the Cleaning gases in the shaft after the first Filter stage, the proportion of this connection recirculated gas adjustable via a throttle valve is, makes it possible to clean the Groundwater an unnecessary fine filtering of the cleaning to avoid gases through the subsequent stages. The The filter effort can therefore be adapted to the degree of contamination, whereby both the time and the cost for the filtering of the exhaust air or exhaust gases is controllable.

One of the first stages can be added for fine filtering Filter stages a cold reactor to freeze out Have impurities, the freezing out of Impurities an inexpensive and very efficient Filtering method is.

The arrangement of the invention therefore represents an extreme effective and adjustable device for the Aus drive volatile impurities from groundwater leading soil layers. In addition, the Arrangement a cleaning of groundwater-carrying soil layers that reflect the chemical composition of the soil influenced as little as possible.

An exemplary embodiment of the arrangement is described below according to the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings explained.

The drawing shows a schematic longitudinal section through an arrangement according to the invention. It is a well shaft 10 , which is driven through a bottom layer 11 in a ground water area 12 , shown. The bottom water level is indicated by the dashed line 13 . Due to the prevailing in the well shaft 10 , the groundwater level in the well shaft and in the surrounding soil is raised according to the dashed line 13 a. In the shaft itself, the groundwater level is 13 '. Above the groundwater level 13 ', the shaft 10 with an air-impermeable wall 14 and an air-impermeable cover 15 is airtight and gas-tight. Along a supply channel 17 is by the vacuum generated by a pump 16 in the well 10 cleaning gas to an area 21 under a sieve plate 18 arranged in the shaft below the water table 13 '. The sieve plate 18 is fastened by means of chains 19 to a floating ring 20 and is thus held in the shaft 10 at a constant distance below the water table 13 '. The cleaning gas flows from the area 21 below the sieve plate 18 through its openings and through an area 22 in the groundwater 12 upwards. The cleaning gas can bind volatile contaminants in the groundwater and discharge them from the shaft via the pump 16 . After the pump 16 , a first filter stage 23 is arranged, which carries out a rough cleaning of the exhaust air or exhaust gases. After passing through the first filter stage 23 , the cleaning gases, controlled by an air throttle 25 , can partially flow back into the gas supply duct 17 via a connection 26 . The other part of the cleaning gases passes through a second cleaning stage 28 for fine filtering before it is also fed to the feed channel 17 via a connection 29 . An entry opening 30 in the supply channel 17 is used to control the supply of fresh air or fresh cleaning gases by an air throttle 31 .

Instead of the two-stage filter shown here direction are of course also multi-stage filter devices gene conceivable, at least one of the stages with special facilities, such as a cold reactor, ver can be seen.
