Abstract

A molded plastic rectangular pallet (320) has a deck (322) made of corrugated thin sheet material. At least three corrugations, and preferably all of them, run continuously across the deck and parallel to a line connecting the diagonally opposite corners of the deck. The pallet preferably has a metal deck and a base (330) comprised of rails (331, 333) having steel reinforcing beams (374) from which run upwardly eight outer columns (328), for supporting a frame (324). The deck edge is preferably inset from the outer edge of the top of the pallet, and the deck has a flat flange, which is attached to the frame or to a subframe (66) mounted within the frame.
