Abstract

This invention has application in a variety of biological and biochemical fields. The invention describes multilayer substrates that are configured to receive and retain biological entities or molecules suspended in a fluid that is passed through any of a plurality of separate and distinct permeable locations on the substrate. The permeable features arise from at least one of the layers of the multilayer substrate. The purpose of the retention includes, but is not limited to, further interaction with other biological molecules, further processing, or examination of said biological moieties at the locations on the substrate.
