Great pre-alpine classic. Short, intense, especially in the final, often windy section. Perfect asphalt.

Grande classico prealpino. Breve, intensa, soprattutto nella parte finale, spesso ventilata. Asfalto perfetto.

A climb that is well known to cyclists in the area, it is worth a visit if only to imagine how it was built by hand, in just 100 days, in 1916.
First part not too demanding, from hairpin bend no. 13 the gradients become a little steeper. The final part with the tunnels is very impressive.

It's a classic of the place.
It's very historical because of the first world war (you can find some historical photos on the street just before the tunnels). The tunnels are regulated by traffinc lights and it can be annoying if you have to stop because then you have to restart in climb and the cars beyind you. Unfortunately is a traficated roads.
You climb throught the mountain so there is no sun, you are close inside in some way and can be suggestive (and cold). The way is quite hard especially at the end, it start more easy and then go high with the grade.
