Between the premiere of her new movie Luckiest Girl Alive and the reboot of That ’70s Show, Mila Kunis is having a busy year. And regarding the role that put her in the spotlight, the actress is confirming the longstanding rumor that she lied about her age.

Kunis starred on the hit sitcom, That ’70s Show, from 1998 to 2006 as Jackie Burkhart, who is originally the rich, popular, and conceited girlfriend of Michael Kelso (Ashton Kutcher). Rumors swirled for years that Kunis had lied about her age to get the part, telling producers she was almost 18 when she was actually only 14 — and after 24 years, she is finally coming clean.

“There’s a rumor going around that I may or may not have lied about my age for That ‘70s Show,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair. “I’d like to make it very clear now that I did lie.”

However, Kunis noted that by the time she went to fill out her contract and creators Bonnie and Terry Turner found out how old she really was, they said, “Well, we loved you at that point so what did we care?”

The actress pointed out that “it was in the heyday of older kids playing younger kids and I was actually of the age of the character,” adding that she “looked up to” her older co-stars. And while their characters were known to pass around a joint or two, she even credited her castmates for being the reason why she doesn’t do drugs, saying that “nobody on the set did.”

Kunis recently opened up about reprising her role in the upcoming Netflix reboot, That ’90s Showrevealing that Jackie and Kelso are now married with a kid. The actress even admitted how “weird” it was filming alongside Kutcher, who also happens to be her real-life husband.

While a release date has yet to be announced for That ’90s Show, you can catch Kunis in Luckiest Girl Alive, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
