Ravensburger’s latest adventure book game is based around Lord of the Rings, releases in February

The latest addition to Ravensburger’s adventure book collection is The Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game, which will be available for pre-order exclusively through Target.com beginning on January 31st and will release in February 2023. Ravensburger’s adventure book games are extremely popular, packing multiple gameplay experiences into a unique game board made to resemble a book and broken down into chapters, with each chapter having different goals to complete and obstacles to overcome. Seattle, WA (January 23, 2023) – Pack your Lembas bread, prepare for elevenses and get ready to play an epic, page-turning adventure full of hobbits and, of course, the “one ring to rule them all.” Ravensburger, acclaimed publisher behind award-winning board games and high-quality toys and puzzles, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, today announced The Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game, a storybook-style board game inspired by the iconic The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game will be available for pre-order exclusively at Target.com on January 31, 2023.

In The Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game, ​​Sauron’s shadow has fallen across Middle-earth, and the One Ring must be destroyed. In order to complete their daunting quest, players will need to work together to help cherished Lord of the Rings characters journey from The Shire to the fires of Mordor, all while avoiding the Eye of Sauron. As the third entry into Ravensburger’s “adventure book” line, the game allows for fans to uniquely play and relive iconic The Lord of the Rings storylines and moments in “chapters” that are experienced over eight different, thoughtfully designed board game “pages.” Featuring gorgeous art and detailed miniatures, the game allows for flexible play for solo or cooperative family gaming, so players can choose their style of adventure.

The Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game will be available exclusively for pre-order at Target.com on January 31, 2023 and will officially go on sale in February 2023. The title is suitable for one to four players, ages 10 and up and has an MSRP of $34.99. Each chapter takes approximately 20 minutes to play.

For The Lord of the Rings fans, Ravensburger also offers The Lord of the Rings puzzles – The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Puzzle and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Puzzle are now available for purchase. The third puzzle in this series, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, will be released in 2023.
