American activist and writer Monica Lewinksy took a dig at Bill Clinton with Taylor Swift’s song Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department. Lewinksy shared a picture of the White House and wrote, “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.”

Take a look at the viral post:

Monica Lewinsky set the internet abuzz with her Taylor Swift reference to poke fun at Clinton. The post accumulated over 4 million views and over 1, 000 reactions on the platform. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Your ability to have a sense of humor over what they did to you is pretty inspirational.” Another user commented, “If Hillary retweeted this, the Internet would break.”

“Delete this Marion. It is very, very disrespectful – that is the US Capitol. So regardless of whether you voted for them or not, your constitutional oath of loyalty requires you to support them and not post filth like this I am shaking with rage,” the third user condemned Lewinsky’s post.

Lewinksy rose to fame after her alleged affair with then-president Clinton while working as a White House intern. The affair is said to have begun in 1995 when Clinton was 49 and Lewinsky was 22. In 2021, FX telecast the third season of American Crime Story, which depicted Clinton’s impeachment.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department is breaking the Internet. The pop icon became the first living artist in 60 years to chart four albums in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. TTPD accumulated 300 million streams on Spotify in a single day and sold 1.8 million copies of vinyls in the US within just five days, making it the fourth largest-selling album in the modern era.
