1600x1000 16:10 Aspect Ratio

AveragePinq

This is not a question that everyone will be asking, but I have been wondering about this for a while now.

What happened to the resolution, 1600x1000? Why instead make a 1680x1050 resolution monitor for a 16:10 aspect ratio?

Apologies if this has already been answered.

Are you complaining about a higher pixel density?

Honestly IDK.  I have a 1680x1050 as my second monitor.  It never bothered me.  :)

Because companies advertise short, widescreen monitors as having "better diagonal measurements", when you're actually losing screen real estate. They won;t make a 1680 x 1080.

The neighboring resolutions are 1440x900 and 1920x1200. 1680x1050 is exactly halfway inbetween those.
