Landscape Arch is within the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park. It's about a 2 mile hike roundtrip on Devils Garden Trail. The entire Devils Garden Trail is around 8 miles roundtrip if you keep going past Landscape Arch. You can also see the Double O Arch along the way. My buddy and I did this hike to Landscape Arch and found it easy and enjoyable. The only bad thing is that we visited during the winter season and found ourselves slipping on the ice on the trail.
Landscape Arch is pretty long at 306 feet and is the longest in North America. It is pretty narrow at the center (only 6 feet) due to large segments of rock breaking off over time. But the arch is still hanging in there. They don't let anyone get near it anymore to try and preserve it. I really enjoyed the beautiful views of this hike and seeing this massive arch in person.Helpful 9Thanks 3Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jun 15, 2023
Beautiful and huge arch.
It blends into the background at first and admittedly I didn't even notice it right away. Once you see it, you won't be able to unsee it. Almost like one of those autostereogram optical illusions. I love this arch.
Very enjoyable hike.
I highly recommend. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms at the trailhead.
Don't forget to stop by Mufasa Rock on the way to Landscape Arch. See Mufasa Rock in one of my photos. It really does look exactly like the Lion King character.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 2023
When in Arches National Park, be sure to visit the iconic Landscape Arch!
This was just a "quick" visit to Arches, but we made sure to hike out to Landscape Arch. It appears a bit unassuming at first, but as you continue to approach it, you see all of its grandness and glory! Walking up, it really does blend in with the landscape... but when you get the angle right, then it just becomes more and more prominent... and photogenic!
There are some cool informational readings along the way... like how there were hikers under the arch and a huge chunk fell and someone happened to get a picture of it. Timing really is everything.
Awesome views, go check it out!

Gotta love the Arches. This one is about 1.9 miles round trip. Easy hike. Opening is longer than a football field! To get to the trail head you've gotta drive all the way to the end of the road to where the campgrounds are.

The landscape arch is one of the widest (306 ft) and largest arch in the world! This 60 ft high arch was recently developed in 1991. It has been protected and fenced off from the public from potential collapsed.
The hike is an easy 1 mile and you can't miss the massive arch as you walk along the Devils Garden trail. Make sure you come early in the day. I would stop by to see this arch first before you head further out into the trail to see the other arches. You can spend a whole day here and there is plenty more to see.
This is a must see and I would recommend to bring plenty of water and wear plenty of sunblock. Bring some snacks too if you plan to spend the whole day here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lexi S.Huntsville, AL126861Jul 29, 2019
The history is cool but this arch is not as scenic as some of the others. The hike to get there is great - very sandy though.

Super Easy To Get To And Great Viewing Arch
This is a really short probably around a mile or so hike to this pristine arch. Small children and the elderly have no issues from what I see and would imagine for this easy trail.
The arch is really big and there are good viewing areas for your pictures.
Lots of people here but plenty of space so it is great...
Don't miss this area of the park....Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Carol N.Chino, CA7919266120Nov 18, 2013First to Review
Beautiful giantic arch found on the devil's garden hiking trail. About a mile into the hike and at the end of the gravel trail. This arch actually looks like it is framing the trees that are under it. This arch is a must see. The trail is fairly easy with no really steep areas. If you want a really clear picture and to really get an idea of how massive this arch is, continue along the sand path to the very end. Also a good idea to take a break here and enjoy the view before trekking back. Bathrooms are only found at the entrance of the trailhead.
See this arch if you get the chance!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Angela F.Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany5614992320Oct 2, 2015
Easy, leisurely walk...mostly all paved...a few highs and lows but nothing compared to other hikes in Arches. The trail is only about 1-1.5 miles to Landscape Arch and you can go beyond that into a more moderate to strenuous hike, if you choose. The stroll through Devil's Garden on the way to Landscape Arch is beautiful. Definitely worth seeing!
Fun fact: they mixed up the names of the Landscape and Delicate Arch. THIS one was supposed to be named Delicate, as you can see by how thin and "delicate" it is; "Landscape" Arch was supposed to be what's called "Delicate" due to the high elevation and beautiful views surrounding it. The National Parks Foundation just didn't want to re-print all of the brochures/documentation so they left as is!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - H. P.Los Angeles, CA26385Sep 20, 2017
This hike is easy-peasy. If you've got some time on your hands, though, I'd recommend hiking a bit farther on to see Partition Arch or even Navajo Arch.
