Spectacular Memphis Milano postmodern dining chairs attributed to Ettore Sottsass, c.1980s. Architect and industrial designer, Sottsass is an iconic figure in design history and best known as the founder of the Memphis movement in Milan in the 1980s. These sculptural chairs epitomize his aesthetic with swooping cantilevered backs and geometric lines, updated for today’s interiors with classic Italian lambchop fabric. Already rare to begin with, you won’t find another like these. Overall excellent vintage condition with brand new upholstery and minor abrasions to powder-coated steel frames.
