Sharon Stone's three siblings, Michael, Kelly and her late brother Patrick, have been by her side throughout her career.

Growing up in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the siblings developed a close bond early on. Their parents, Joseph “Joe” and Dorothy Stone, welcomed son Michael first, followed by daughter Sharon, son Patrick and daughter Kelly.

The Stone siblings have also supported each other through the highs and lows of life, including Sharon's health issues and alleged sexual abuse, which Sharon opened up about in her 2021 memoir The Beauty of Living Twice. The siblings also came together in 2023 when Patrick died of a heart attack just 17 months after his infant son died following “total organ failure.”

Through it all, Sharon and her siblings have worked together on charitable ventures and shared their stories through writing and interviews.

Here is everything to know about Sharon Stone's three siblings.

In the early '90s, Sharon and Kelly joined forces to found Planet Hope, a charitable organization providing “outreach and resources” to those in need, including members of the homeless community, victims of natural disasters and terminally ill children and their family members.

In 2005, the organization held a four-day event called Camp Planet Hope, which provided families with clothes; medical, dental and vision care; as well as self-esteem-building courses, per Variety.

The group also donated more than 150 coats to the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter in 2006, per The Harvard Gazette.

In 2001, Sharon suffered a stroke that resulted in a nine-day brain hemorrhage. The activist wrote about her extended recovery in her 2021 memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, stating that her mother, father and three siblings all rushed to San Francisco to be by her side.

Sharon had previously recounted the incident on Oprah's Masterclass in 2014, saying, “I called my mom, and I said, ‘Mom, I’m calling you from the emergency room ... I’m having a brain hemorrhage,' and she said, ‘I’m on my way, I love you.' ”

Michael appeared in a number of films throughout the 1990s, including Eraser and Malevolence. He also had a role as a counselor in Sharon’s 1995 flick The Quick and the Dead.

Michael and Sharon attended several red carpet events together ahead of the film’s release, including the 1994 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California, and the 66th Annual Academy Awards.

In 2021 and 2022, Michael acted in a handful of short films.

Prior to his 2023 death, Sharon and Patrick took a joint trip to Alaska with their families.

Sharon wrote about their adventure in her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, noting that she took her three children, Roan, Laird and Quinn, out of school to join them. “I felt that they would learn more in those three days, things that would stay with them forever, than they might learn if they had stayed in school," she wrote.

According to Sharon, the group experienced the majesty of nature on their trip, with Patrick reportedly catching a large salmon that attracted a bear. The Casino star wrote that the incident left her brother “both thrilled and taken aback.” Though he ultimately threw the fish back, Sharon wrote that Patrick caught a larger one a few days later on his birthday.

Kelly was diagnosed with lupus in 2007. According to a 2017 press release from the Concern Foundation, Sharon’s sister and her husband, Bruce Singer, have since become advocates for Lupus Los Angeles, raising funds for research and awareness of the disease.

Sharon and Kelly stepped out together for the Lupus L.A. Orange Ball in May 2017, where Sharon told Extra that Kelly's experience with the disease had made the sisters “a lot closer." Kelly agreed, adding, “It's amazing that I have a sister who is not afraid to use her voice, and people listen and she loves me so much.”

The disease also severely weakened Kelly’s immune system, causing her to be hospitalized when she contracted COVID-19 in August 2020. Sharon told fans at the time that her sister was “fighting for her life.”

“My sister Kelly, who already has lupus, now has COVID-19,” she posted on Instagram, adding, “She does not have an immune system.” Sharon later gave an update on X (formerly Twitter) that Kelly and her husband Bruce had “finally tested negative.”

Sharon detailed the alleged sexual abuse that she faced from her maternal grandfather in her 2021 memoir. The actress told The New York Times in March 2021 that Kelly supported her decision to reveal what she had gone through. “My sister and I made this decision together,” Sharon said.

The Basic Instinct star also detailed how Kelly addressed the issue with their mother Dorothy, saying, “We spoke to my mother and at first she was very stoic and wrote me a letter about how disconcerting all this information was ... Then my sister got loaded when my mom was staying with her and really went for it with my mom. And my mom had a major breakthrough.”

In August 2021, Patrick's son River was found in his crib with what Sharon called “total organ failure” in a subsequent Instagram post. Shortly after, the actress announced her godson’s death with a touching video that showed the 11-month-old child smiling and laughing. “Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021,” she captioned the clip.

Sharon later reflected on the good River was able to accomplish through the donation of his organs. The actress told PEOPLE, "The fact that my godson was able to save three lives, two infants and a 45-year-old man, was sanctuary for our family."

Patrick died of a heart attack 17 months later, in February 2023. Sharon confirmed the news in an emotional video on Instagram. "We did lose my brother Patrick Joseph Stone," she said.

In her memoir, Sharon described her brother as “the best of all four of us kids." She also called Patrick “big and real handsome” with “the kindest, the most generous, the softest of heart.”

In April 2023, Sharon shared a sweet social media tribute to her late sibling with a video clip that showed her and Patrick spending time with their families at the beach. "Thinking of my bro and days gone by❣️,” she captioned the post.
