Donatella Versace handled a recent event emergency like the total icon she is.

On March 9, TMZ reported that Italian fashion designer wound up stuck in an elevator for close to 15 minutes before co-hosting an event with Dwyane Wade at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

According to the outlet, Versace, 68, was with her publicist, assistant, security and the head of Versace public relations when the incident occurred.

In a video obtained by TMZ, at least four people are seen trying to pry open the trapped doors from the outside. Versace and her crew are finally able to escape through a small slanted opening between the elevator frame and what appears to be the dislodged door.

Fortunately everyone, including Versace who seemed rattled as she slowly walked away in her sky-high heels from the elevator, was able to remove themselves from the incident unharmed.

TMZ also shared that the fire department arrived to examine the elevator shortly after.

Meanwhile, Versace carried on with the celebratory evening as she was named the organization's global ambassador and donated $50,000 to the Los Angeles LGBT Center. She even joked about the accident while making her speech onstage.

"I feel so honored to be here tonight. It's so emotional for me — but also because I was stuck in the elevator. I thought I was never going to make it to this roof, but I did!" she quipped.

At the fundraiser, Wade — who, along with wife Gabrielle Union, joined daughter 16-year-old Zaya Wade, an LGBTQ+ activist who came out as transgender in 2020 — also matched the $50K donation in support of healthcare, legal aid, housing, food and nutrition, education, employment, and more to LGBTQ+ people in need, according to the center’s website.

Versace recently also celebrated the appointment of Oppenheimer actor Cillian Murphy as the face of the label's Icons menswear collection and campaign, launching on April 3.
