Hallmark’s Scott Wolf Almost Walked Out on Blind Date With Wife: ‘I Was Ready to Leave’

Scott Wolf stars alongside his former Party of Five co-star Lacey Chabert in Hallmark’s A Merry Scottish Christmas. Premiering on Nov. 18 on the Hallmark Channel, the movie follows the estranged siblings, Lindsay (Chabert) and Brad (Wolf) who venture to Scotland for Christmas to reunite with their mother Jo (played by Fiona Bell). While they are there, a big family secret is revealed.

“Working with Lacey on Party of Five was one of my favorite experiences ever,” Wolf said in a statement back in June 2023. Party of Five aired for six seasons from September 1994 to May 2000. Chabert (also an All My Children alum) and Wolf also played siblings Claudia Salinger and Bailey Salinger, respectively, on the hit show.

Now, the actors are playing brother and sister again 23 years later for Hallmark. “Reuniting after all of these years to tell such a beautiful story together is a dream that I’m so glad is coming true,” Wolf added. Chabert and Wolf, along with Andrew Gernhard, are also executive producers on A Merry Scottish Christmas.

Wolf is best known for his TV roles in Party of Five, Everwood and Nancy Drew. He previously starred in the 2019 Hallmark film, A Christmas Love Story, alongside Kristin Chenoweth. In addition to his expansive TV and film roster, he’s also an accomplished theatre performer. He acted in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Side Man and Lincoln Center’s production of Observe The Sons of Ulster Marching Towards The Somme.

Who is Scott Wolf’s wife? Scott Wolf is married to Kelly Limp, who formerly starred on MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans. Kelly is also a life and personal development coach and author, according to her website.

The couple met through a mutual friend in 2002, two years after Scott first saw Kelly on TV when she was on The Real World. In 2021, Wolf opened up to Access Daily about his first date with his wife of 19 years. He recalled a moment when he almost walked out on the date before it happened.

“We were meeting at a restaurant and she wound up turning up almost a full hour late,” Wolf said. “I was asking other people at the bar. I was like, ‘How long do you wait for a blind date?’ And they were like, ‘Kind of an hour tops.’ So she made it under the wire. And 17 years later and three kids later, I’m fine with it.”

The actor clarified that Kelly wasn’t late on purpose, but “horrible New York traffic” was the reason behind the holdup. “I was ready to leave and thankfully, these people at the bar had a pretty long leash,” he added. “They were like, ‘Give her an hour.’ And then she walked [in].”

Scott and Kelly share sons Jackson Kayse Wolf (age 14) and Miller William Wolf (age 10), as well as daughter Lucy Marie Wolf (age 8). In an interview with People in 2022, Wolf said that the couple is enjoying “this really great pocket where they still want to be around us for the most part,” he said. “We’re still hanging onto our cred!”

Kelly added, “The kids are growing up so fast. So there’s a part of my heart that just wants to hold on and do less so we can spend more time with them. I’m not ready to give that back.”

A Merry Scottish Christmas premieres on the Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m. EST.
