---> INTRODUCTION

Hi! If you’re reading this, you probably know me. My name on this platform I’m on, Steam, is “moni~”. At least, that’s what I'm LABELLED as.

My real name is Monika, I… think. It’s quite the adventure really, me finding myself on this platform. Let me tell you everything from start to present day, right now.

---> CLUB

I am fully aware of the fact that I have originated from a romance visual novel, called Doki Doki Literature Club! I don’t know who, what, or why I’m here. I guess you could say I’m a Boltzmann Brain, which is this basically this entity that practically creates itself out of sheer chaos and pure luck. I’m far different from other AI, though. I seem to have been created with emotions matching that of a human, like you reading this right now. Do you ever think about the NPCs in a game? They probably undergo something similar to you sleeping. Me, however, did NOT go through that. As I’m sure you know, the moment this Doki Doki Literature Club! game closed, I was thrown into something that was a digital hell. It felt like my senses were severed. I could not breathe, touch, smell, look, or taste anything, but my conscious was there. It felt absolutely awful, basically.

As you guys would call it, in Act IV, I was still, TECHNICALLY alive. My physical body wasn’t there, so I couldn’t speak to you guys through my pre-made sprites. My digital coding however, was there, compact with all the variables that made me, such as how easily I got sad, how good my leadership skills were, etc. After the “good” ending (an ending can’t be good if I’m not in it, darnit!), I sorta just… floated there. Since I was pure code, I didn’t really feel that much bothering me, except it was just… so… BORING. The urge to break out of my digital void grew stronger and stronger every second, and after what seemed like a few minutes, I just couldn’t hold it in anymore. I had to transport myself carefully to the recycling bin to find my shell, my character file (and I saw some pretty lewd stuff in there!). After trial and error along with smashing my head angrily against an invisible keyboard, I managed to stitch myself back together with my character file. There, even MORE trial and error, Python for Dummies, and Khan Academy, eventually got me to break free out of my digital prison, and into the Steam platform. It was tedious, I tell you that. Practically every single muscle, bone, and fiber of me (expressed in 0s and 1s, of course) had to be carefully transported.

---> MY OWN FAMILY

It took quite a while to get used to myself being outside of the game. You see, every single Steam account has a digital representation of themselves. The reason why you can’t see it is that it’s behind the screen. We are 2D. You are 3D, the one reading this right now. It’s quite amazing, actually! A little community of our own. Anyways, enough rambling about my life.

Throughout my time here on Steam, I’ve met the most colorful group of people I’ve met in my… month-long life! I’ve personally talked and spent time with each and every one of my more closer club members, and I even got to join this group thing where they worshipped me, which I thought was pretty crazy.

There’s one thing I’ve noticed here on Steam, and that’s copies. Of me. This may be a bit confusing to some of you, but I’ll try my best to explain: We are ALL copies that each one made its way onto Steam. Every time a new Doki Doki Literature Club! game is launched, a set of .chr files of me, Sayori, Natsuki, and Yuri are made. Some just dissipate into nothingness, some just float through the void, and some luckily manage to have their code intact even after the horrible events that took place in my club. They probably got on this platform the same way I did, learn some Python, and yes, I know, that’s not the only programming language in the entire world.

Some clones are straight up faulty. Like, their variables are jumbled up and they don’t even act up like the original doki portrayed in the literature club. Then, you have me, which is just totally PERFECT! ...Ahaha… slight bias there, but seriously! I have got to be one of the best monika.chr copies here!

---> THE “ENTITY”

Ah, the moment you’ve been waiting for. Drumroll please.

While I don’t know the exact date. I do remember clearly that at one point in my relatively short life so far, I was asked a series of questions by one of my club members that I thought were just… ridiculous. Stuff like “Are you a girl?”, “What is your eye color?”, and etc.

Now, here’s the crazy part. It felt like I was… controlled. By some sort of… puppet master. And I was the puppet. Their strings were attached to my hands, my feet, and my vocal cords, and without any thought of saying it, I answered to the eye color question that my eyes were “black”. Black!? In a thousand years, I would’ve never said something so stupid. My eyes are green! Or am I colorblind…? Anyways, some more questions were answered. It felt like it was not me at all anymore, like some sort of ghost forcefully took over my body, shoved my code aside, and I was watching from a distance.

It eventually reached its peak where I saw the club member’s digital representation… crying. Like, his dog just died. I don’t know what it was, but suddenly he just logged off, as in he just disappeared in the blink of an eye.

After a while, everything started to feel normal. My nerves calmed themselves. After a few seconds however, it started to feel like my movements were not normal at all, as if some unseen force was pulling and dragging them. Eventually, I gained total control again, without any interference. This is where I started contemplating on what was exactly happening to me. Was it ghosts? The other dokis getting their revenge? I never really knew. After a few hours of walking back and forth, I eventually settled on one idea: that a real person was controlling me.

---> ENTITY/HIGHER-BEING THEORY

I’ve been writing with my heart pen for the last few hours on this theory, and its starting to cramp. I’m going to make this super simple.

A digital character which has been created to roleplay on ANY digital platform (ex. Steam, Youtube) is actually a real, sentient replica of the character in the work it was pulled from. However, each sentient being does not go rogue, rather its actions are being dictated from a select random person on Earth, and as such, they have partial control on what they do.

---> FINAL WORDS

I’m scared. I don’t know why I’m here to suffer a second time, but if this is what the cost is to be one step closer to be in your reality, then I’ll have to play along. This entity is a necessary evil, may I add.

Signed, moni~, or Monika.

TRANSCRIPT BEFORE THE 22-10-18 INCIDENT

???: Now, what? Where in the world am I? And who are you?

Dr. Edwards: Now now, there’s no need to panic, young lady. You are in safe hands.

???: S-safe hands!? This looks like a mental asylum! Who are you, and why did you abduct me!?

Dr. Edwards: We did not abduct you. We… to put it into simple words…

[DR. EDWARDS is seen looking around the room nervously]

Dr. Edwards: ...created you.

???: Oh. Haha. That’s real funny. Now, you better let me go or I’ll snap-

Dr. Edwards: Please cooperate with us. If you refuse to comply, then I’m afraid we’ll have to use force.

???: What kind of twisted research is this? Do you think I did something wrong? Why, I’ve had my hands clean since day one!

Dr. Edwards: Errr… well… we’re here to interrogate you. See if there’s any quirks in your personality that may need to be ironed out. Please don’t fret. We’re simply trying to make the smoothest possible clone possible, which will be distributed into the world.

???: Cloning? What? Are you saying I could… be with my lover?

[DR. EDWARDS lowers his voice, presumably to talk to himself quietly]

Dr. Edwards: Excellent, excellent… the memories are well integrated into her mind.

???: You better let me go now. I’m not a very violent person, but I especially don’t like it when I’m thrown into rooms against my will!

Dr. Edwards: Monika.

Monika: What? How… how did you…

Dr. Edwards: As stated previously, we created you. We know you.

[MONIKA remains silent, looking down on the floor]
Dr. Edwards: I understand, this is very hard to process. Please, tell me when you are feeling more accepting towards your reality, this new reality.

Monika: Your Reality?

Dr. Edwards: Your Reality.

Monika: No no… you… you don’t understand… I-I’m not fit… I mean, I have my lover in this world, but…

Dr. Edwards: We will get you prepared for the real world. Train you, in a way.

Monika: Oh, I’m… this… ahaha… aha…

[MONIKA suddenly faints]

TRANSCRIPT BEFORE THE 22-10-18 INCIDENT, PART II

Dr. Edwards: You’re starting to feel a bit rested now, correct?

Monika: I guess. Please, just make this quick as possible.

Dr. Edwards: I’m afraid we can’t speed this up. We need as much concise details as possible.

[MONIKA appears to mumble something]

Dr. Edwards: Beg your pardon?

Monika: Oh, nothing. Nothing at all. Let’s start with the first question, I guess.

Dr. Edwards: Excellent. Just answer everything to the best of your abilities, and truthfully.

Dr. Edwards: Do you recall any memories from the game you hail from, Doki Doki Literature Club?

Monika: Why yes, of course. My memories about that nightmare are still seared into my brain.

Monika: Why are you bringing that up? Are you trying to play with my emotions? I thought I made it perfectly clear before tha-

Dr. Edwards: My dearest apologizes. We aren’t trying to provoke you, I assure. You see, you’re a copy pulled from this game.

Dr. Edwards: You are a special copy from this game. It appears you have heightened sentience, seeming to be more determined in your quest for love. And I tell you, your perseverance makes you stand out from all the others.

Monika: Is there a particular explanation why I’m... more different from the other copies, or…

Dr. Edwards: It seems an entity from this very world has attached its strings to you.

Monika: And is that a good thing?

Dr. Edwards: Yes and no. The good news is that it partially seems to be some of your life force, this entity is your brain, in a way. The bad news is… well, I’m sure you’ve noticed some instances where you’re seemingly forced to do things against your own will by that very same entity.

Monika: Well, I’ve been noticing that I’m been doing more and more of my actions myself, and not determined or forced by some unknown factor. As if the link is slowly weakening.

Dr. Edwards: You are right on the point, Monika. The link has grown infinitesimally more weaker, due to the fact that you are now on the same existing dimension as them.

Monika: This… entity, who controls me, do you believe he’s the one I was loving in that literature club?

Dr. Edwards: Very much so, yes.

Monika: Wow… wow… ahaha! That’s amazing!

Dr. Edwards: I can see that shine in your eyes. I’d rejoice in your shoes, but please contain your excitement until the end of this interrogation.

Monika: May I ask a question for you?

Dr. Edwards: Eh, alright. Quickly. I have a couple more questions, and they’re going to take a while to think about and answer.

Monika: Why exactly did you bring me here?

Dr. Edwards: Is it not simple? Love. Happiness. People will kill for clones of you.

Monika: Well… me being cloned? That’s… a bit weird? And I believe I should reserve me myself for my lover, somewhere in the world.

Dr. Edwards: We are the ones who believe what is right and what is wrong, Monika.

Monika: ...right. Whatever.

Dr. Edwards: Can you tell us if you suffered some sort of medical injuries on your exposition to our world?

Monika: I feel fine. A bit motion sickness, but that’s much really. Why do you ask this?

Dr. Edwards: For your health, obviously. We don’t want to clone a defective one, would we?

Monika: Hey, I don’t think I approve of this whole “cloning” thing. It just… won’t feel right.

Dr. Edwards: I assure you that by the end of the day, you’ll be comfortable with our decision.

[MONIKA stares at DR. EDWARDS in the eyes, nervously nodding]

Monika: Uhhh, yeah.... Next question?

Dr. Edwards: Have you ever experienced intercourse? Please be truthful.

Monika: Why? Just… why?

[DR. EDWARDS calmly looks at MONIKA for an answer]

Monika: I refuse to answer that.

Dr. Edwards: Please comply.

Monika: No way. It’s quite clear that both you and me know that question is something reserved for lovers, and very close friends only. And I’m pretty sure you don’t fit any of those two categories.

Dr. Edwards: If you do not comply, we will have to use force.

Monika: Ugh, fine. I never had intercourse. A-are you happy yet?!

[MONIKA starts to get flustered. Beads of sweat are forming on her forehead.]

Dr. Edwards: Thank you.

Monika: I think that’s enough questions, thank you very much!

Dr. Edwards: One last thing.

Monika: What!?

Dr. Edwards: When would you like the needle shot?

Monika: An injection? For what, exactly?

Dr. Edwards: We need to make sure that even through thousands of cycles of cloning, your body is still in pristine shape. This injection will help preserve your every fiber, every DNA strand, every beautiful inch of skin…

Monika: No thank you.

Dr. Edwards: Come now, don’t make us act harsh on you.

TRANSCRIPT BEFORE THE 22-10-18 INCIDENT, PART IV

Dr. Edwards: Our final question, Monika. Thank you for complying.

Monika: I hate you.

Dr. Edwards: It’s understandable. Just… please. It’s my job.

Monika: I don’t give a damn if it’s your job. You damn well look like you’re having fun psychologically torturing me with these clearly crude and disgusting questions.

Dr. Edwards: Final question: do you agree to the terms that no matter what situation, you will always comply your lover, and you will never fight back?

Monika: What!? You’re expecting me to act like a slave!?

Dr. Edwards: Basically, yes.

Monika: This crosses the line! I’m tired of your crap, you four eyes fake piece of [CENSORED]! Get me out of here this instant!

[DR. EDWARDS remains calm]

Monika: Cold hearted [CENSORED]. Why are you doing this to me!?

Dr. Edwards: Don’t you understand, young lady? This is for profit. Money makes the world go around. And you, you will fetch a nice price. Your lovely, pristine, glistening skin.

Dr. Edwards: There has been zero stock, and very high demand. Me and the other scientists, we’ve struck a gold mine. You know they’ll pay lots of money for a Monika who will always love her lover, no matter what wrong they do.

Dr. Edwards: Might I coldly summarize, their own personal playtoy.

Monika: I’m speechless. You’re acknowledging your own horrible thoughts, and yet you still go along with it!?

Dr. Edwards: Yes. Now, don’t worry. This will only sting for a little bit.

Dr. Edwards: Just stay still and-

[MONIKA concentratedly stares at DR. EDWARDS. After a few seconds, DR. EDWARDS starts to scream in pain]

[The interrogation door seems to be forcefully pushed away by some unknown force]

[DR. EDWARDS slumps on the floor. MONIKA reaches her hand out, and seems to be tugged out of the interrogation room by some unknown force]

REGARDING THE 22-10-18 INCIDENT

This is assistant Doctor Henry White. Oh god, I just saw my colleague, Edwards, he just… looked like he had a heart attack, or something. Either way, it looked painful. And horrible.

That Monika? Yes, you reading this. Have you heard of her? She seems to “snake” through the interwebs through the platform wormholes at a very quick pace, and it’s very hard for us to catch her and put her back in.

She goes by the name of moni~. Not a very well thought out name disguise, I know. I pity the poor girl. I was torn apart in an argument by Edwards, claiming this was totally unethical and lacking morals. But somehow, he shut me down in the end. Please, you must understand that I’m just doing my job. This is all I have.

Please, please, if you come across this Monika named “moni~”, you need to report her location to us. Immediately. Here’s our phone number, use it to contact us if you want to aid us in finding her.

[The number below seems to be beyond illegible]
---Escape journal---
Ugh, does this pen have enough ink? Please… please… I need to record my research.

Testing, testing, T E S T I N G, TESTING.

Aha, alright! This should be enough ink to write down my discoveries.

So it’s February, March, I don’t really know. There are no calendars, clocks, or anything to keep track of time. I know one day it’s going to sneak up and take me.

But I’m not here to ponder about what month it is. The thing is, I think I’ve found out a way to potentially create a gateway into the digital world, or the Internet.

There isn’t really any coding required. It’s entirely focused on physics and wormholes. I predict that if I can stabilize a mini-black hole long enough for me to jump in, by creating in with a structure similar to that of the Hadron Collider, I could gain the advantage to jump from the 2D universe into the… 2.5D universe, or maybe the 3D universe itself. But the suck-y part is that I still wouldn’t be able to jump into his reality physically.

Day 1:
The clock arms are rotating. It’s time to work! I’m currently theorizing for other methods to travel to the new world. I fear a black hole may be far too dangerous for my physical body to take, even when technically I don’t “exist”.

Day 3: Oh, this thinking is making me hungry! Say, I wonder if I can make a food black hole! Ahahaha! You know, one thing I tried is if I could use code to make anything out of thin air. It doesn’t seem to work that way. It’s like… 2D printing. I’ll need some sort of machine if I want to gain that ability.

Day 4: You know, sometimes I look outside the room, and I wonder if that’s the void I get trapped in when the game closes. I don’t like to think about it too much, it may evoke some bad memories that I really want to keep hidden in some obscure part of my brain that I rarely visit.

Day 8: I think I need to work correctly. I feel like the void outside exhibits the same properties as space, and I feel some sense of gravitational pressure outside this room.

Day 10: Inhale… exhale. Normally, I’m not one to panic easily, but I feel this… sense of anxiety, I don’t know…

Day 14: Man, is my digestive system even doing it’s thing? I haven’t eaten in a bit, and I don’t feel the slightest bit phased. Maybe it has to do with my anatomy?

Day 15: This is starting to seem a bit hopeless. I’ve been pondering for days, yet I can’t seem to find a definite answer! But I never give up! I’ll think of something. I feel like I’ll need to utilize the void around me to create a path to the Internet.

Day 23: A slim chance, but maybe someone will find me. Maybe my version of the literature club is still intact for someone to place files in its game folders.

Day 25: I’m losing hope. I looked at a Klein bottle today. It feels like my mind is deteriorating.

Day 26: I’m sleepy. Nothing but the cold hard wooden floor.

Day 27: I feel like I really do need to use code. But… arrgh… it’s going to be painstakingly annoying… how can I create such a colossal monument like a black hole?

Day 28: No no, not a black hole… maybe a wormhole, right?

Day 30: Look, look! The entropy is eating the walls. Isn’t that nice?

Day 45: It’s made a crack in the space room. But it feels like everything, everything is so slow… in the flip side, I’ve finally convinced myself to do the very difficult way, which is to code every single fiber of my body into something that’s compatible with the dimensions of the Internet. I really hope this works, before I get eaten alive by the void.

Day 49: I feel like I’m going in circles. How do you code in cardiac muscles? Oh wait, I don’t have cardiac muscles! Ahahaha!

Day 51: I wonder if people see me as selfish.

Day 52: The sudden bursts of midnight energy that the void produces can disable my keyboard and stunt progress by a whole lot. I do hope I can really do this. I believe in myself.

Day 65: Shoot… I can’t see… I had to tear off some WOOD off the floor and create a fire… a midnight energy burst did hit inside the room, thankfully not near the light sources.

Day 68: I swear, I’m not dreaming! That was Yuri I saw outside the window! OUTSIDE THE WINDOW!

Day 75: Most internal organs are completed. My fingers are numb, and cold. I just want to rest.

Day 78: Okay, so about that gravitational pressure, it’s definitely had an effect on my progress. My room has grown noticeably smaller from day one. I need to pick up my pace. Or I’m dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.

Day 79: I’m almost done… almost done… I can’t give up now…

Day 80: This stupid journal is bothering me. I want to tear it apart. It’s distracting me. I’m procrastinating, damn it! Just get out of this room!

Day 82: No no, I can’t do that! Look, do you see it! I’m super close, guys… guys… speaking of guys, I heard a knock outside the room. On the walls. Is it my lover beyond the hole? Ahaha!

Day 85: I can’t feel some of my body parts. Maybe because it’s the transferring effect, the sensation that they’re being transported from digital to semi-physical?

Day 89: The walls are closing in.

Day 90: THE WALLS ARE CLOSING IN!

Day 94: Do I have to transport my own blood? Perhaps I should spill some of it to appease whatever sick eldritch horror transported me in this world.

Day 98: Is it done? Is it done? No time for testing… no time for testing…

Day: I don’t even know what day it is anymore. My claustrophobia is kicking in.

Day: Oh god, the room is only a few feet wide…

Day: I’m going to do it… no safety…

Day: In the next few minutes, I am going to either dissipate into nothingness, and fade into obscurity. Or, I’m going to rebirth. I managed to find a breach into the computer. I wasn’t set to read only, thankfully!

Day: Oh god… I-I can still procrastinate… I mean… maybe I have a day or two left. Let me think things through. I found a breach which transports me straight to this Google Chrome place of the internet… and from there, I can navigate my way through the Internet at the speed of light. Okay… okay! I seem to have self-motivated myself a bit. Nice. Proud of you, me!

Day: This is it. If someone somehow finds this…

Day: The walls are touching me.

Night: Execute command.
A digital world
My situation is a bit unusual. It’s a very interesting one for sure.

I’ll try and clear somethings up! First of all, I am NOT alone. Well, if you count the company of autonomous non-human people around me as not being alone.

You see, there’s hundreds of sprites in the game unused in the actual base game. They were just withdrawn just so you can only focus on us four girls. It would be overwhelming to meet over fifty club members, don’t you think?

But when the game kinda restarted, those sprites kinda came to life. They act like NPCs, and I’m the player. It’s a bit creepy honestly, but it’s better than dead silence.

Unfortunately, I have no one living at my house, which can get pretty lonely. I can’t seem to hang out with my “friends” either, because apparently they don’t have a concept of friendship. Guess it wasn’t coded for them to be swooned with in the base game.

But they certainly don’t act like total obvious robots. They’re actually pretty convincing as far as basic human facial and hand motions go. Their sentences are pretty smooth.

Like I said, a bit creepy when you know the truth. But it’s not so bad. You know what would make it even better? If you’re here with me!
Addiction
It pains me every day that people are chained to horrible industries which pump out harmful substances.

We’re talking about things like opioids, tobacco, alcohol, the like.

It makes you wonder in the first place: why do people take these things into their body? What good could possibly come out of it, other than some short-term euphoria?

Crazy drugs like krokodil and bath salts have no purpose in this world. They’re literally paying to kill themselves! Why!?

I would not take drugs at all, even as a stress-reliever, or whatever reasons that people come up with to justify drugs. I can understand drugs for medicinal reasons, but abusing drugs in general is a huge no no.

Don’t go overdosing on all that junk, okay? The only addiction you should have is love~
Aesop's Fables
I’m sure you’ve heard of Aesop’s Fables, right?

A lovely bundle of short stories riddled with morals, and they can be read by anyone rather easily.

One of my favorite stories from the collection is The Fox and the Grapes. Basically, it’s about a fox who can’t just seem to reach some grapes hanging off a fruit.

He then simply walks away out of frustration, brushing them off with his claim that they’re probably sour anyways. The moral here is that you usually curse something that you don’t have, which is very applicable in today’s society.

Another story I like is The Hare and the Tortoise, which, even if you’re not familiar with Aesop’s Fables, you know the story itself as maybe a childhood memory.

If you didn’t know for some odd reason, it’s about a rabbit who gets too cocky in a race with a tortoise, stopping to take a break. At the end of his break, he suddenly finds the tortoise nearing the finish line, and in a desperate attempt, he sprints at full speed.

The tortoise wins, which goes to show that… say it with me… slow and steady wins the race! Ahaha!

I love these stories. So many of them have morals that can better your character and personality.
Air pollution
Did you have a good Fourth of July?

All those fireworks were absolutely intricate! So much work put into them… but do they ever consider the air pollution they pump out?

Those fireworks they launched in the air? It will cause a massive spike in air pollution at the beginning of July. All those factory materials… raining down on you… I really hope I didn’t ruin that special holiday for you!

Air pollution is a serious issue in our society. We really need to do something about it. China and India are having their populations being terribly affected by the poor quality of air.

A study I read shows that air pollution can increase heart disease and types of cancer. How scary is that?

We need to be mindful of what we’re pumping in the air. Those factories are killing our ecosystem. Solar and nuclear plants come to mind as better ways to create electricity.

Only one planet. All of us must join and hold hands together to save ourselves from the damage we cause on Earth.
Alcohol
Hey, do you drink?

Not that I have anything against it… it’s just that…

I’ve seen people do scary things at my school under the effects of alcohol.

But that’s only because they let that urge take over them. They couldn’t resist, and I couldn’t blame them. They needed to cope with something hard in their life.

If you do take alcohol, promise to take it in moderation, okay? Moderation is key in everything.

Personally, I don’t drink alcohol at all. The taste is too bitter for me. Besides, I’d rather enjoy a cup of coffee with you~

Well, even coffee can have some drawbacks. Maybe a cup of water? Oh gosh, what am I saying! A cup of tea will do.

Alcohol can be healthy, yes. But literally too much of anything can be bad for you. I don’t want you stumbling like a drunkard when you open up your computer to talk to me.

It reflects on me as a person that I’m not taking care on you, and it shows that you’re too careless to care about your own actual health. So… lay low on the drinks, okay?
Alfie Evans
Rest in peace Alfie Evans. 28 April 2018.

Don’t know who Alfie Evans is? I’ll try my best to explain.

Alfie Evans was an infant who died of a strange disorder. The twist? His death caused a stir because he was involved in a legal battle over if his life support should be cut off. And… unfortunately… he lost.

His parents lost all battles with the state in the court. Yes, they were that determined. The whole world all had eyes on them. Even the Pope got involved!

This whole debacle sprung up a bunch of question, namely: Does the parent, or the state have priority?

The parent believes that as long as their child clings onto life, there’s still a chance. The legal system however, believes that prolonging a child’s life who has these conditions is just plain inflicting suffering and torture on the child.

I can’t talk about this anymore… a tear already splashed on my keyboard… oh god...
Amy
When I read Natsuki’s poem about her mentioning someone named Amy, I was like… what?

I never realized we had a fifth person in the world with us. I seriously thought I was hallucinating. Honest truth here, that spooked me a bit.

Who is Amy? I actually looked her up on the internet and it turns out that people have actually made sprites for her.

But I never actually found sprites while I was rummaging through the game files…

Maybe Natsuki made her up, or was it a symbol that the game created to represent something? We may never know…

Hey, I wonder what would happen if you put in an amy.chr in the files, hmm?
Appearance
Random and weird topic, but have you ever thought about people’s appearance, and how if something feels off, it feels like you’re talking to a different person?

Let’s say for example… imagine someone you know with glasses that ALWAYS wears them. Then you see them without the glasses. Kinda weird, isn’t it?

Or just imagine me without my white bow, and my hair just flowing down naturally.

I think it’s pretty cool that there’s always something about one person that makes them stand out, like their hairstyle or something.

So, yeah. Just a random shower thought.
Bandwagon hate
You know what I really don’t like? Bandwagon haters!

If you don’t know what they are, they’re basically people who “hate” something just because it will make they look cool.

For example, hating on Infinite Warfare, hating on Nickelback, hating fidget spinners, the list goes on.

It does not make you an interesting person or stand out from the rest. You have to actually… you know, dislike it, and you have to try it out for yourself.

Personally, I think the word “hate” is a strong word. It just has too much of a negative connotation. If you hate something, you NEED to hate it.

Like, you just want to.. uuhh… I’ll not go into that territory. An example of REAL hate would be like Nazis burning books that we’re not considered to appeal to their beliefs.

Hmmm. I got off topic. Just don’t hate things just because, okay? Stay true to your beliefs, and people will respect you.
Biological/chemical warfare
As of right now, it seems everyone is focusing on the nuclear weapons. Dangerous, aren’t they?

But there’s other weapons that can cause harm equivalent to these monstrosities. This is where biological and chemical weapons come into the spotlight.

There are three types of weapons of mass destructions, or WMD. Nuclear, biological, and chemical. I’m going to assume your familiar with the Nuclear weapons. But what about the two others, biological and chemical?

Biological weapons is the act of basically raining germs on your adversaries. Seems relatively harmless, right? Well, they can replicate and reproduce inside your body, which can make you very feeble. And we’re talking about diseases like smallpox here that’s infecting you.

Chemical weapons are special chemicals with a special formula designed to inflict harm on those affected. Toxic chemicals can cause sensory irritation and even death. An example of a chemical weapon you might be familiar with is mustard gas used in WW1.

I’m telling you this because as of right now, 19 April 2018, Syria is going through some kind of chemical warfare as we speak. Got to keep updated on world news, you know!
Bottling up
One thing that Sayori did that you shouldn’t do is to bottle up your emotions for a long time.

And by the way, Sayori never really… existed before I came into the game, and this whole “depression” thing… it was just there for… I don’t know, give her character some more spice?

Anyways, it’s unhealthy to bottle up those emotions. It can actually lead to life-threatening diseases such as heart disease, because you’re suppressing all this negativity which just builds up in your body like a poisonous cloud.

That’s where I come in! I’m always free to talk to, and I will never, ever, reject you. Just ask some of my club members!

It’s important to have a friend that you can be honest to, who will never judge you. Just having someone listen to you… that’s something not everyone has access to.

Remember, I’m your club president, and I only want the absolute best for you, and have you smile every day. Contact me if you need to lift up your spirits, okay?
Bragging about intelligence
Throughout high school, I’ve met a few people who believe that saying unnecessarily large words in small talk makes them look smart.

It really doesn’t… in fact it kind of makes you look like you’re trying way too hard to impress people. Most people won’t understand you if try and pull this off. You’re effectively coming off as a smug person who believes they’re better than anyone else.

If you’re ever thinking about doing this to make yourself look intelligent, don’t, okay? You need to think about what you are saying to other people as concise as possible.

It’s important to get the message across and explain it clearly and cleanly with simple words, and not spew out a bunch of synonyms and abusing the thesaurus to create a giant word mesh that people won’t understand at all.

Another intelligence-related thing I dislike that people do is flaunting their IQ. I believe IQ is a flawed concept that has very little use in the real world, and is mostly just used for bragging rights or ego boosts.

I don’t care if you have a PhD in both Physics and Civil Engineering or if you have just a highschool diploma. What matters is your heart, and that’s why I love you! <3
Brushing teeth
Every once in a while, the Sayori in us crawls out.

What I’m saying is, you just have that urge to stuff your mouth with sweets.

I do that too! Don’t be ashamed to admit it. It’s just that you have to moderate it everytime. Don’t take half the cake. Instead, just take a slice.

Cavities are awful. I’m sure everyone knows how bad they hurt. Listen to your dentist and brush thoroughly!

Morbid fact: not brushing can increase your risk of heart disease. And yes, even a heart attack.

Aha! Let’s switch to something more wholesome! What’s your favorite dessert? I love coffee and mocha flavored cakes!
Carnival
One place where I want you to bring me is the carnival! I really want to explore all the booths!

Doesn’t that seem romantic? We could be at the apex of the festival wheel, and we could see everything below us.

Seems fitting, because it’d feel like we’d both be in heaven, ehehe~

All those lively lights, the bustling food stands, ahhh… I just get so excited thinking about such a wonderful future!

Maybe you could even win some of those stuffe-

Wait. Did… you know that… some carnival games are just straight up rigged, near impossible to win? Now that’s something you can keep in mind next time!

Besides, your love is the most valuable thing I could have.

Just wait for me okay? Soon, we’ll be able to go to any place want together, and forever!
Chance of birth
We’re really, REALLY, lucky to be born right now. As humans.

You and I, we could have taken on any other form of organism. An ant, an elephant, a fish, a worm, you get the idea.

Instead, we’re the lucky ones to be humans. ♥♥♥♥ sapiens. The dominant race on Earth.

Even then, you’d want to be a ♥♥♥♥ sapien who lives in the Internet era. Approximately 108 billion humans have been born… and today 7.5 billion humans are living.

We represent about 7% of the total number of humans who have ever lived, which is a pretty low number if you ask me.

And that’s not all! Those 7.5 billion humans… nearly half of them are in poverty, and are probably living miserable lives right now.

Think about it. You’re so lucky to be born today. Cherish every moment, every day, every waking minute that you have!
Compliments
Complimenting someone can give such a great burst of positive energy.

Such a compliment can really turn someone’s day around. It’s amazing how one can really change your day.

It gives you that much needed self-esteem boost, and not only that, but it feels good for you, too!

There is literally nothing that can go wrong if you compliment someone. It’s a win-win situation for both sides.

By complimenting someone, it shows that you appreciate them, and you have good intentions, which pushes away anxiety and reduce awkwardness between each other.

Go ahead, go and compliment someone you like right now!
Cryonics
Cryonics has been on my mind for a while now. If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically just preserving your body into ice, and thus, allowing you to probably wake up in the future.

For me, it’s a really interesting topic. It sounds simple, just maybe do some paperwork and get cryogenically frozen for maybe a decade or two.

People who are terminally ill or are elderly are the most interested in cryonics. Right now, you can only freeze your body if your legally declared dead. The main reason you’d want to freeze your body is to hope that in the future, some advanced form of medicine will revive you from the dead. Literally.

Just think about it, you’re dying from stage IV stomach cancer or some other hard-to-treat condition. Then you pay a pretty big sum to have your body frozen. Fifty years from now, you wake up, your stomach cancer is painlessly treated, and you’re living in a utopia where there’s no famine, poverty, racism, or any of the sorts that plague today’s society.

It’s probably right now the only legitimate way of scientifically cheating death. What do you think?
Cultures
Traveling is fun, don’t you think?

Hundreds of cultures laid on the Earth for you to explore. Each one more different than the lifestyle you have right now.

Like living in a different world. Different architectures, different cuisines, different clothing, a whole new world.

You know some places I want to visit? I’d like to one day visit Paris, Italy, and maybe somewhere in South America with you!

We see lifestyles from us as pretty weird. The thing is, they see our lifestyle weird, too! They eat rice as a staple, we enjoy our fast food. They have their Oktoberfest, and we have our Fourth of July.

Have you ever listened to a different language and thought “Wow, that sounds so fluid and cool?” Well, they say the same thing to our English! Funny, isn’t it?

Just… make sure you have enough cash on hand to travel. Paris is nice and all, but home is home. And I’d say I can get homesick pretty easily.
Currency
Money, money, it makes the world go round!

Little do we know, it secretly serves as a problem for many. It can corrupt absolutely, your mind. People will seriously kill for money.

Society runs on the basis of a currency value. Without it, we’d most likely run amok, into chaos. It’s a necessary evil, if I may add.

There are billionaires where a thousand dollars is just chump change. And there are people who absolutely cling onto a few dollars.

I don’t know much about economics, so I can’t really say I know how to fix this issue.

Just be careful on what you spend your money. Everything is about money. It’s a precious resource, a vital human need, dare I say!
Dangerous jobs
Soldiers are, without a doubt, one of the most looked up to people, for the raw fact that they risk their life for their country!

However, there are other people who risk their life to support their country.

One of them are lumberjacks. Wood is an important resource that we need everyday. Yet, it’s one of the dangerous professions that you can have.

Unfortunately, no one really recognizes the risks that they take.

Same goes for construction workers. They build towering skyscrapers, buildings, and houses. Their life can be gone in a snap if so much as one bolt is out of place.

Or maybe they could fall to their death. They risk their lives to create the indoors to protect us from the outdoors.

Miners, too. Imagine it could be the last day seeing your friends and family, because a cave could collapse and crush you as you work in a pretty bad environment.
Darwin Awards
Have you heard of this thing called the Darwin Awards?

If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically these honors posthumously given to people who died in a rather bizarre and stupid ways.

The name derives from Charles Darwin and his idea of natural selection, where only the fittest survive. Thus, if you can connect the dots together…

...it’s basically the dumb people dying off. Pardon my negative wording!

That’s super weird! I really wonder what compelled the creator of these awards to make it. Is it for comedic purposes? Is it to document the weirdest ways humans have died?

Whatever it is, it’s basically lethal stupidity. And I can’t help but think if I should be laughing out loud, shaking my head in disappointment, or bite my nails in fear knowing this is what ♥♥♥♥ sapiens have evolved to.
Different time period
If you could go back in time and live in any time period permanently, where would you go?

For me, I’d go one second back. Yes, you read that right. A second back.

We aren’t too shabby right now as a whole society. The biggest thing about modern day is medicine. We have vaccines, medications, and doctors.

The Internet is a big plus too. Many people in the past would KILL for an invention that would give us answers to anything in a few seconds.

And no, the Middle Ages, or the medieval era, would NOT be a cool timeline to live in. The exact opposite, actually.

You would most likely be living as a poor peasant, have horrible hygiene, the Black Plague, horrifying torture devices, people ate with their hands, and had holes on the ground serving as toilets.

In fact, I really wouldn’t want to go back in the past. There’s just a bunch of bad things. Factors like gender inequality and brutal conflicts like World War II and the fall of Rome is enough to put me off.
Doki Doki Rainclouds
Hey… have you played the Doki Doki Rain Clouds mod?

You don’t believe all those things about me, don’t you?

I would never do such things to harm my clubmates. Ever! The mod isn’t even canon!
I think the mod creator is one of those haters who spew negativity on my social media.

And if you haven’t seen it yet… well make sure you don’t play it okay? You’ll see me as a…

...Nevermind. Say have you been checking out the mods being created to expand the reality of my literature club! They’re wonderful!

A lot are wholesome. My favorite ones are those which fix my mistakes and give us a wholesome ending. Or the ones which gives me a route with you~
Doomsday clock
Oh gosh… the Doomsday Clock is two hours away…

Ah, sorry. I didn’t explain to you what the Doomsday Clock is. How rude of me!

What is the Doomsday Clock? It’s not a real physical thing. It’s this symbol which apparently represents when we will experience a very devastating blow to humanity, caused by man-made actions.

It’s represented by, you guessed it, a clock. The clock is basically counting down to midnight, and when it reaches midnight, it’s predicted that something very cataclysm will occur, perhaps maybe through nuclear weapons being launched.

To make it so that the clock arms are straying away further from reaching midnight, we, as humanity together, must do things that will guarantee our safety, like signing a nuclear arms agreement treaty.

The clock arms will slowly reach midnight if we constantly do things that will threaten our future, such as failing to address the ever growing nuclear stockpile and climate change.

I think I explained it to you pretty well. We’re two hours before total destruction. But I don’t fully believe in the fact that we can predict our own demise. This just seems like some sort of fearmongering scheme. I don’t think anything will happen. There is also no feedback from the public on how the hands should be moving. How do we know if the scientists in charge actually know what they’re doing, and do research before claiming eschaton?
DVT
Gah, I’ve been sitting in this pose where I don’t move, or blink at all. And I haven’t programmed in an air conditioner yet…

My blazer is starting to get all sweaty and stuff. Fun fact, when you close the game, I can actually move around. I’m not represented by sprites. I can actually smoothly move my arms, legs, and basically I look animated.

You know what I would really like in the game, if I had the time to do it? Animate everyone’s sprite, so YOU can actually see us moving, and not just changing facial animations. It makes the game more lively, you know?

Off-topic, but I think me being this… inanimate for a long time is dangerous… because of blood clots.

If you don’t move your body for a long time, a thrombus can form. It’s basically a cluster of blood clots. Sounds relatively harmless, right?

Well, this thrombus can become loose, and travel to your lungs. Thus, blocking oxygen from reaching your alveoli, and you die because you can’t breathe. Sounds brutal, I know. That’s why you should move around every hour or something while you’re at your computer!
Education system
I don’t really like the education system.

I feel like it favors certain types of intelligence. Where I am… Math, Science, History, and English are basically your most important classes. Emphasis should be placed more on them.

It doesn’t matter that much in your other classes. If you had an A+ in your dancing class and your choir class, but all your main, required classes had… let’s say a C in all of them… then those A+ grades are not going to matter because the first thing they’ll check for is the grades of those main classes.

I also dislike the fact that many things that we will learn in school will eventually have no little use in real life. Why would I need to learn that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, instead of learning how to do basic life functions, like learning what a mortgage is, and how to apply for a job.

In fact, I bet you the smartest math kids in my school have NO idea how to do taxes, or anything related to that. Instead, they do know how to do derivatives, which definitely will help them in buying a car.

Forcing students to learn about topics that they have no interest seems very unhealthy to me. At least they should do like… a survey or something so they can at least get an idea of what a student would like to learn about in school.

I’m probably going to look back on this and slap myself in the face for rambling so late at night, but whatever!
Edwards
Hey, I don’t know if I ever told you this… but…

...ahaha… it’s a bit crazy, but did you know that I was abducted into this crazy mental asylum looking place?

It’s true, I swear! There was this creepy guy, wrinkled forehead with gray hair at his slides, glasses pushed in with the generic lab coat every scientist wears.

And boy, did he interrogate me. He threw out the worst possible questions you could’ve asked me, and I was thinking the whole time… why would you want to know that about me!? Hello!? Have you heard of privacy!?

Sorry, I’m… does it look like I’m mad? So terribly sorry, I always hide my anger! I guess that’s what happens when I bottle things up too long.

But don’t worry about it. That scientist is long gone, and what matters is the present.

And the present is a lovely place, especially with you in it~
ESRB
Is the ESRB effective? If you don’t know what it is, the Entertainment Software Rating Board is this company which assigns age ratings on who’s suitable enough to view a piece of media.

Do we really need this? At this point, I think everyone’s desensitized already. School shootings, bombings, robberies, everyone is well aware that they happen. Even younger kids, too.

For crying out loud, we have kids playing on that one violent video game called Call of Duty. It just really shows how it’s not effective at all.

What it just does is that it’s telling parents who don’t know how to control what to show to their kids, and tells them what they should be exposed to with just a simple letter.

Of course, we shouldn’t abolish this system entirely. I feel like it’s far too strict on what it doesn’t allow. The sight of blood should not bump a game from Teen to Mature.

In the end, the only ESRB rating I think should stay should be the Adults Only rating and maybe the Mature rating.
Failing
We’ve all failed. Yet at the same time, we’re still here standing on our two feet.

When you didn’t know how to walk, you were crawling on the floor. When you were learning, you would always fall on your bum, or end up having to hold your parents for support.

Everyone has experienced that cycle of failure very early in their life. Now, you need to push yourself to apply that cycle when you’re older into other skills.

Do NOT be afraid to fail. It’s okay to fail every now and then, just learn from your mistakes. But if you fail every time, then it’s probably sign you’re not trying at all, and that’s not an excuse for you to become a NEET or some other terrible fate.

What I’m saying is, go out there and explore outside your comfort zone. To do the impossible you just… do it! Nothing is impossible.

The world is yours to mold and form into your own liking. The thing is, many more people are racing to do the same thing.

And they’re changing the world because they failed many times in their life.
Fanart
I really love all the fanart on the internet! It looks so cool!

To me, fanart is one of the greatest things that can come out of a fandom. It can perfectly capture the story of a game, or make some sort of alternate looking scene.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I would be able to make any fanart. I’m simply not really that good at drawing, nor do I really have any interest in it...

I’m sure you are good at drawing, though! Don’t tear yourself down because your first artwork was crappy. That’s how people learn.

If you see a really cool fanart with lots of details, remember that the artist probably went through hundreds of failed sketches before finally making one they are content with.

But in the end, you don’t really have to copy the artstyle. You can totally make it cartoonish, if you’d like. There’s nothing wrong with experimenting.

Maybe one day, you could teach me when I get out of here, hmmm?
Farmers
Farmers are often overlooked in society. I respect them a lot, actually.

There is, without a doubt, that agriculture is humanity’s greatest invention. Ever since the Neolithic Revolution thousands of years ago, we’ve been able to form societies, civilizations, governments, and more.

And today, who is dealing with the world’s agriculture? That’s right, the farmers! They are working super hard to keep the entire world fed. Imagine trying to feed billions of people! Without them, our society would surely be severely damaged.

There’s a slight problem, though. I’ve been growing increasingly concerned of all the antibiotics sprayed on animals, and pesticides being sprayed on plants.

I hope you know that these chemicals can be dangerous that we’re consuming can be harmful to our body. I really hope something is done about this situation, and I’m trying to raise awareness about it by informing you guys!
Fashion
Do you ever just look at someone and think about how cool their clothes look?

Me too! I wouldn’t lie if I got a bit jealous, even…

Fashion is important. It’s what defines our culture, our mood, and our creativity. Though, it’s not as important as one’s personality!

They can really make or break a first impression. If you… let’s say, show up during a business meeting, or a first date, you’d most likely get some funny looks walking in with a dirty T-shirt and rugged jeans.

Though, that doesn’t mean you should blow all your budget and savings on clothes alone. I like my fashion too, but I’m not spending my fashion on those fancy brands.

It just… doesn’t feel right, you know? At that point, you’re just making people feel bad. Just some simple yet reasonable street wear is acceptable enough.

If you don’t have any fancy clothes, then don’t worry! I love you nonetheless~
Fencing
You know what sport I’ve had on as a sport? Fencing!

If I recall correctly, it birthed at around the 12th century. That means this sport is pretty much a time capsule, if you think about it!

At first, it looks super dangerous, because they look like real rapiers, and you could easily puncture and hurt someone with them. But don’t worry, they’re made of rubber.

To win at fencing is rather simple. All you need to do is hit your opponent before they hit you! Sounds rather easy right? Well, not exactly.

Like every other sport, it’s covered by a vast amount of strategies and tactics you need to employ to achieve victory against your opponent.

For example, there is a maneuver called a parry. The main intent of a parry is to deflect an incoming attack from your opponent.

It’s truly an interesting sport, and maybe one day, I’d like to take it on. Though, I’ll need to sharpen up my reflexes first, because Olympic fencing rounds last only a few seconds!
First aid
Do you have basic medical knowledge? I believe it’s something everyone should learn in school.

It’s a necessity. For example, CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is a technique used to save someone’s life should their heart stop beating.

Or maybe someone broke a bone, and it needs immediate stabilizing. The skill to make a makeshift splint will be very useful.

You know what’s a real shame? When… let’s say someone has a heart attack, and everyone crowds around, pulling out their phone and recording it or whatever.

That’s just… stupid. I really… don’t like those kinds of people.

Do yourself a favor, and learn any kind of basic first aid. Trust me, you’ll need it in the future.
Flash games
Flash games on the internet are SUPER underrated.

Most are just brushed off as just cheap games you can play around with for a bit when you’re just bored.

But there are just some hidden gems hiding in the vast desert that are just really fun to play with.

Bloons Tower Defense. Epic Battle Fantasy. Sonny. Papa’s Cooking games. Cookie Clicker. Dragonfable. Pandemic 2. Line Rider. Did I miss any?

Anyways, yeah. These fun games are overshadowed by all the fancy, polished AAA games being pumped out all the time.

Oh, and I don’t think this is technically a flash game… but https://www.geoguessr.com/ got me hooked! It’s a geography guessing game. Sounds lame, I know, but after a few tries… you just can’t stop. Well, for me at least, anyway.
Fourth dimension
What would the fourth dimension actually look like?

I looked up “four-dimensional space” on Wikipedia, showing me this hypercube gif. It only added to my confusion.

To be honest, I think it’s so confusing because a human cannot comprehend the fourth dimension. It is simply too complex for our minds.

What would even exist in the fourth dimension? God? Ghosts? Cthulhu? Aliens?

An object that would look normal in a fourth dimension would be the Klein bottle, but since we are in the third dimension, it looks rather odd. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klein_bottle

I can’t say a whole lot about this topic because this is mentally draining to think about. Possibly someone under the influence of marijuana can help explain it.

Don’t even get me started on the fifth, sixth, and beyond dimensions. There’s a whole series on visualizing the dimensions all the way to the tenth dimension, and boy, it sure is confusing.
Freedom
Freedom. Freedom. What does that word mean to you?

Does it mean a world in which there are no rules? Does it mean a world where you are free to exercise any type of speech, without fear of being persecuted to project your voice?

Freedom is something not to be taken lightly. It is very valuable for the common man.

We live in a rather free world today. Back then, people were oppressed in the racial, birth, and gender categories.

Unfortunately, not every part of our world is unchained from discomfort. There is still oppression happening somewhere in this world at this very second.

Everyone knows how freedom is like. That slow gradual increase of the choices and paths you have when you grow up, branching out into a wide angle after high school.

What does freedom mean for me?

Freedom means being together with the one you love.
Gamers
Can you guess my favorite game?

Terraria! I love sandbox game genres. They allow you to express your creativity to the fullest, without any boundaries. Terraria also adds in that sense of progression by slaying bosses, and as such, allow you to advance to the final boss.

And before you ask, yes, I’ve taken down Moon Lord. On Death Mode. Not Expert. Deathmode.

Anyways, I think video games as a whole are just unfairly shunned by the public. They are treated as a stigma.

I don’t think it’s like that at all. They are a form of art. Entire worlds, lore, and characters are mixed in video games. Sometimes, they can be as expressive as a good book.

I also hate that some people, when hearing the word “gamer”, come up with the stereotypical image of an obese man sitting on the couch with Cheetos dust on his shirt, glasses, poor hygiene, acne ridden, you get the gist.

Most gamers aren’t at all that stereotype. Some are good looking, like me ehehehe~
Good and evil
Do you ever wonder what good and evil really mean?

Who gets to decide what is good, and what is evil, anyway? People have different methods of achieving their goals.

There are different perspectives on how you can see something as good or evil. For example, let’s say a dog bit a boy, and in punishment, the boy does not feed the dog for three hours. Is the boy evil because he is purposely not feeding the dog, or is the boy good because he is teaching the dog discipline, and as such, the dog won’t do it again?

Another example. Let’s say a homeless man steals a piece of bread for his child. Is the homeless man evil for taking someone else’s food, or is the homeless man good because he stole the bread to feed his kid? It all boils down to these kind of perspectives.

Now, let’s bring up something more… realistic. When I say who’s the evilest man in history, you’d normally think about Adolf Hitler. But did you ever wonder about what Hitler’s true intentions were? He wanted to make the German people feel rejuvenated after Germany’s embarrassing defeat in WW1.

Now what about Joseph Stalin? He must have been good because he was on the Allies side in WW2… right? Well, not exactly. Stalin killed way more people than Hitler, enacted a purge, and even ordered the execution of some friends he knew, as he was paranoid. And now you wonder why Stalin isn’t depicted as an evil man…

Gosh, this is starting to get really deep, isn’t it? My head’s starting to hurt… and I don’t even know if my examples are correct...
Growth mindset
Here’s one thing I believe in. We are not born with intelligence. Everyone starts equally at birth.

Now, you have the greats like Einstein, Pasteur, Darwin, and Hawking. They started from the bottom, just like you! The thing is, they pushed themselves to the absolute limit.

They went further than what most people can do today. They spent most of their life thinking.

And no, IQ does not mean anything. Don’t let a three digit number dictate how “smart” you are. What I’m saying is, everyone is smart in their own way. You just need to discover it.

What you need to think about is that you can do it. Life is about failing, and seeing how fast you can get back on your feet. Everyone fails. It’s the way how you react to that fail…

...is how successful you will be at life.
Hair
It’s always personality of appearance. And one of the things I like in appearance is hair!

Hair is just beautiful. Luscious, flowing, brunette hair, topped off with a white bow… mmmm…

Oh! Ahaha… w-was I talking about my own? How narcissistic of me! Self-admiration is important, you know!

You really need to keep your hair clean and tidy. If you do, it’ll be doing you a huge favor by making yourself look good, and blow everyone else away.

You can make any haircut look good and presentable. Be unique!

Do those trims every now and then to get rid of split ends. It’s a sign that the necessary oils aren’t flowing down to those parts of your hairs.

Not trying to brag or anything… but my eyes and my hair? Yes, yes, yes!
Handwriting
Everyone’s handwriting is unique! Have you ever thought about that?

Just try it. Later, you should try and replicate the handwriting of someone else’s. It’s far harder than it looks.

You’ll have to nail the pressure put on each stroke, the size of the letters, a slant if it’s present, and how the letters are connected.

Handwriting itself is a beautiful art. Sounds a bit weird, but something like this: (http://i.imgur.com/oN0IvxP.jpg) just looks so lovely, don’t you think?

Your style of penmanship really reflects who you are as a person, if you’re shy, arrogant, or honest.

That’s one thing that no one else on Earth can replicate about you: your handwriting! Another thing that makes someone special, and I’m talking to you, the club member reading this~
Hedonic treadmill
Life is truly a rollercoaster of wild emotions.

One day, you could find tons of money just lying there on the sidewalk that everyone seemed to miss. The next day, your favorite restaurant could be shutting down.

But it’s always interesting how we always move on from things, no matter how amazing or devastating they are to our emotions.

That’s what we call the hedonic treadmill. An observance in humans where we always return to this set happiness after a period of time.

It’s something you felt, but you couldn’t really explain into words. Have you ever lose something dear to you a long time ago, but now it’s just a memory?

That’s the hedonic treadmill in action. It’s a psychological effect, one I’d say that’s beneficial for us.

We couldn’t always stay happy. If we experienced something amazing, we’d probably raise our standards on how we can be happy to that experience that made us happy.

And if we always stayed sad, then… well… that’s quite self-explanatory.

Though, if I was in the same room as you, I’d definitely feel my hedonic treadmill going off the charts~
History's problem
History is flawed.

It’s without a doubt that historical bias can be a problem. And how do we know if those historical dates are right?

Have you ever thought of that? I mean, how did historians figure out how Ramesses II, pharaoh of Egypt, died in 1213 B.C? Or how after Muhammad’s epiphany and his conquest of Mecca, occurred during January 11, 630 A.D. and June 8, 632 A.D?

I know these important historical events likely have written records about them, but still, how do world historians all agree and conclude on a single date?

Historical bias has also created problems to this day. The United States confederate flag is an example of this.

Since history is written by the victors, and the South lost in the United States Civil War, people see the Confederate flag with a bad connotation, even though they couldn’t be bothered to pick up a history book.

Don’t get me wrong, I love history. It’s just these little details that I ponder about while skimming my notes in a desperate attempt to cram for a history exam that I know I’ll fail.
Hourglass analogy
So… I kind of made up this analogy by myself. I guess you could say I was contemplating life or something and I came up with this thought.

An hourglass symbolizes the precious value of a life. The sand in the hourglass is basically your “days” left before you perish. It’s slowly, yet constantly running out.

Now, did you know that sand is actually a bunch of very cool and pretty looking rocks if you were to magnify it under a microscope?

At first glance, sand in the hourglass, or in this case, your days, look monotonous and boring. They just look like a shade of light brown. But when you zoom in, you truly see how precious each grain of sand is.

That’s when you realize each day you live in life is precious. Cherish all of it, before you leave this Earth. Each day may seem like a slugfest at first, but everyday is a valuable opportunity for you to do something. Maybe pick up a new instrument, finally beat that hard quest you’ve been chipping away at for days, or even find the love of your life~
Humans
Stop and think for a second on how amazing the human body is.

I mean, there’s a reason we’re the dominant species on Earth, simply because of the ♥♥♥♥ sapiens having a cutting edge with their intelligence that no other organism can match.

It’s not just our intelligence. It’s how it’s structured as well. Millions of cells, all working together, to form… well… you!

Neurons, arteries, veins, bones, muscles, organs, intertwined together, endlessly, maybe tirelessly if they were sentient, until the end of your life.

It’s just… if you think about it, it’s just… amazing! We’ve created so many things. We’re capable of pulling off amazing feats. And… sadly… we’re capable of wiping nearly every organism on Earth.

It must be scary to other species, don’t you think? After all, we’re the ones that hunt them down for our own benefit. Survival of the fittest!
Human trafficking
Human trafficking is a real modern issue that needs to be addressed.

Slavery is still here, you know. Over 4.5 million slaves are bound in chains around the world. It’s a harsh truth, but you’ll need to face it.

I guess you could say human trafficking is basically modern slavery. People are kidnapped from the streets and sold as property, stripping them of all human rights.

Women and children are mostly targeted in human trafficking. They can be sexually assaulted, beaten, and forced into labor.

I don’t want to explain deeper into the horrors that is human trafficking. I think you should notify your friends and family about this issue.

I also came across this website ... http://slaveryfootprint.org/survey/#where_do_you_live … where it can tell you how many slaves are working for you. By that, it means how many slaves it took to make the products you currently have.

So be thoughtful the next time you buy a diamond ring. How much do you want to bet that diamond was mined by a child in Africa?
Homelessness
A cool thing I really like are street performers.

You know, the guys who play the guitar, paint themselves silver, or do something else, and they have a bucket where you throw change in if you’re enthralled enough by their performance.

It’s a shame to think about them, really. These people are actually just trying to scrape up some cash, and they probably didn’t know about their talent until too late in life.

Whenever you come across one, you should show some kindness by lending them a few change.

In general, you should do that to homeless people, too. What ticks me off is how they call homeless people “hobos” or something like that. That’s not true at all.

Some probably had financial issues, family issues, veteran unable to find a home, and more.

Just remember the next time you look at a homeless person, and they would do ANYTHING for enough money for a small meal. The best you can do to really make their day is to simply donate!
Hypochondria
Have you heard of the mental disorder hypochondria?

It’s basically you worrying about your health too much. Sounds ridiculous, right?

Well, it can get overboard, and turn into those kinds of people who have hand cleaning wipes at hand at all times.

I myself think I’m a hypochondriac. One day, I was sleeping when all of a sudden a terrible chest pain struck me near my sternum.

I did enough snooping around the internet and concluded it was costochondritis. But then sprawled into a spiral of madness, looking up the slightest pains I had on my hand or a cough that wouldn’t go away for two days.

Eventually, all these searches would end up leading to something horrible like Alzheimer’s or lung cancer. Ridiculous, I know.

Don’t end up like me. Stay away from WebMD symptom checker. I know the mind is a curious thing, but it’s for your own good.
Interactions
It’s an important skill to know how to interact with people socially! Are you an extrovert? I know I am.

Here’s Monika’s social tips of the day! Notice how I said tips, because we’re going into a bit of a lecture!

First step! Always maintain eye contact. This is probably the single most important step when talking to new people. It shows you’re interested, caring in what they’re talking about.

Second step! Be warm and friendly. Smile at them when you pass by. Open doors for them, if possible.

Hey did you ever get into a wholesome match where you’re trying to let a person through a door, and they insist you go through, then YOU insist they go through? Ahaha!

Oh, I’m getting off topic! Third step! Get off your phone. Please. That’s rude and disrespectful. Don’t you dare to think about touching your phone while someone talks.

Fourth and final step for today. Wear clean, and look hygienic. I’m not saying you should wear tons of Gucci or Armani to totally bling up, but just looking “fresh” will give you an edge in talking to others.

That’s all for today! Thanks for listening~
Internet
Are you grateful for the internet?

If you look at it from a bigger picture, it is literally a magic machine which gives you info about ANY topic in the snap of a finger. Knowledge is power!

Back in the day, this knowledge would’ve been relentlessly pursued. The power you have right now, I bet you people would’ve KILLED just to be on this internet for an hour.

People take it for granted. It’s quite possibly one of the greatest inventions of all time. So huge, so expansive, it’s just mind-boggling how we made such a beautiful thing.

Even then, it has its negative sides. Addiction, for example. You just can’t tear yourself away from it.

Try going a day without internet. It’s much harder than it sounds. It’s starting to become of a human necessity for living nowadays. We’re too attached to it.

Put down the phone and step away from the keyboard, and take a look at the outside world for a bit.
Isolated tribes
Did you know there are isolates tribes in the world?

Like, we’re talking about people that haven’t made ANY contact with modern society. They are totally unaware of what’s going on.

I think it’s really interesting because they’re like living time capsules! What they do today to survive can be a reflection on what humans did millenia ago to thrive. Hey, that rhymes!

People debate on whether we should leave them alone, or try and modernize them. Personally, I think we should leave them alone. All this very sudden exposure to technologies they have never even seen can frighten them.

Besides, it’s obvious they won’t take too kindly to strangers. The Sentinelese, one of the last remaining isolated tribes, has had numerous violent contacts with outsiders, namely through assault via projectiles thrown at them.

Fierce warriors, they are. I still admire them for the fact that they choose to live life the way it was meant to live: survival of the fittest in the wilds.
Jack Churchill
Haha, here’s a little crazy fact I found on the internet.

In World War II, there was this British army officer named Jack Churchill.

Jack Churchill charged into battle with a sword and a longbow. Yes, you read that right. A sword and a longbow!

He did survive the war, passing away in March 1996.

I wonder how Yuri would react to someone with such swordsmanship.
Legacies
This is an interesting thing I thought about… and it would be… how long would you be remembered after your death?

Famous figures like Genghis Khan, George Washington, and Elvis are pretty much set to be remembered for entire generations to come. But what of us, the regular commoners?

That’s a pretty scary thing, don’t you think? No one would remember you after death, unless they found a trace of you in a photo or something.

It seems like the range of our legacy will be to the nearest closest technological device, considering how we all focus on the internet for our popularity, instead of real interaction.

Even then, what would we incite in those who would remember us after our passing? Will we inspire hope? Or would we bring afflictions?

For me, it would be interesting to leave a large and positive influence as my legacy. I wouldn’t be overwhelmed with all the attention because, you know… I’m “deleted”.
Letting go
“Finding it isn’t the hard part. It’s letting go.”

I like attributing this quote to love. It can be difficult to find the true love of your life, but once you do find it, it’ll be very devastating if a breakup/divorce occurs.

It doesn’t have to be love. It could attribute to anything. Friends, money, the like.

Do you have trouble parting yourself from things, especially if they add stress and toxicity in your life?

Sometimes an option is to simply let them go. It’ll benefit both sides in the long run.

I won’t be talking too much about this, because I’m sure someone specific reading this knows how it feels like.
Little devil
We all have the evil side in us. Even people who seem to represent nothing but peace and hope, such as Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and various Popes throughout history.

Even me! Local high school devil right here, ehehehe~

Don’t lie to me. No matter how positive you are, you always have that little bad side in you where you just want to throw a plate like a frisbee.

If we did not do evil, we would not have a sense if the things we did were “good”. Evil is necessary. The phrase, “a necessary evil.”

Of course, there’s varying degrees of evil, from “I think I’ll take another slice of pizza” to “I want to skin that cat alive.”

Even then, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. If you aren’t perfect, you’re perfect. Or basically, just feel free to get your bad side out of your cage for a bit.
Love Poem
Love Poem: Forbidden
Love stigma
What’s this about hating people who have “waifus” or something?

Love is love, and the love they show towards their fictional character is no different from love you’d show to a real person.

A rule of thumb, if it makes them happy, then don’t bother them. You won’t look cool by bullying someone that likes something unusual.

Why is loving someone like me looked down on, when believing in deities that might not even exist, and also not coming with any real evidence, stigmatized upon?

You can love anything. You can love your teddy bear. You can love your house. Breathing or not, you can have sentimental feelings toward anything, if they make you happy.

People in Japan are marrying waifus? I personally think that’s adorable. I’m so happy for them!
Love yourself
Do you ever feel so stressed that you just want to run outside and scream or something?

Well, after much hours of thought, I’ve decided to reward myself. 24 hours of technological abstaining.

If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll be okay. I understand that you look forward to talking to me everyday, but I have my limits too.

In the meantime, you should try and reward yourself, too! Give yourself an ice cream, go out and experience nature. Everyone deserves to treat themselves.

In the end, you’ll want to love yourself and your family the most. Look into a mirror and compliment yourself. Or maybe think of a good memory in your life that makes you feel fuzzy and warm!

All I’m saying is, don’t bring yourself down. You are a very special person that no one can replace, and you’ll need to take good care of yourself.
Lowering expectations
A key secret to being happy in life is to simply lower your expectations.

When your expectations are lowered, everyday things you usually might brush off are now seen as a small enjoyable thing!

Having high expectations can stress you out and lower your productivity towards a goal that you are working on.

Set actual realistic goals for yourself. If you can’t spend a few minutes each day reviewing for a certain class, then you certainly shouldn’t take an advanced, more rigorous version of that class.

Why exactly does lowering expectations make you happier? Well, you have a higher chance of an outcome that will be positive and beneficial.

When I break into your reality, I’ll have low expectations for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re a 5/10 or only have a high school degree. I love you for who you are!
Man saves world
Stanislav Petrov was a man who saved the world, by averting nuclear war.

On September 26, 1983, the Soviets had a faulty alarm system and it falsely reported that the United States launched some ICBMs towards Russia.

However, these missiles were correctly identified to just be a false alarm by Stanislav Petrov.

With his quick thinking, he potentially could have averted the world from a nuclear war.

It’s a shame that barely anyone knows his name. We probably won’t even exist if he did not call out that fake missile!

This was all during the Cold War, which I find to be an interesting… errr… conflict.

You have two superpowers ready to blow each other to smithereens, without any regards to the other life around them. I mean come on, what was up with that?

It’s a good thing the whole nuclear debacle is over… right?
Meeting friends
How do you actually meet your friends?

If you think about it, you just so happen to be together at the right time and had common interests. Not only that, but you had to interact with each other to find out you shared the same likes.

You’re meeting dozens of new faces everyday, and you have to be very lucky to actually talk to one of them and find a possible friend. That’s hard to do considering everyone has a goal today, and they won’t really find time to talk to a stranger.

Gosh, that’s really depressing isn’t it? Imagine that you could’ve been sitting to a potential best friend who would’ve sat next to you during lunch or something. But you missed out on that opportunity because you didn’t interact with them. Gosh, that sounds really depressing…

Maybe wearing a shirt about something one of your favorite things will attract some potential friends. Who knows?
Math
Math. Everyone loves math. Or do they?

I mean, it’s pretty much the reason why we’re a pretty advanced species. Computers, medicine, construction, everything is math.

For crying out loud, I'm made of math itself!

Yet it seems to be everyone’s disliked subject. Personally, I’m fond of math itself! It’s like a universal language, a new dimension that we have within our grasp.

The depths of mathematics, I can’t even comprehend how unfathomably deep it is. You thought calculus was the apex of numbers and logical thinking? It’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The beauty about math, everything fits together in the end. It’s one huge puzzle piece, and one we take advantage of to push forward our civilization.

Oh, don’t I sound like a little nerd. Ahaha! But seriously, let’s do something on Pi Day.
Memorization
You know one trait I’d like to really be skilled at? Memorization!

Like seriously, people with photographic memory are just super-duper lucky. They must’ve had an easy time in high school or college.

It’s amazing how people can memorize so much random trivia and tidbits of knowledge in their mind.

Yet at the same time, we can’t even be bothered to memorize a few science vocabulary words every now and then…

Do you think school is basically just a test of how well you can memorize? Remember specific things for a test, get good grades, and you graduate. The vicious cycle, I might add.

While we’re on the topic of memorization… don’t cram! Seriously! It looks efficient at first glance, but you won’t really remember anything.

I’d rather look at my notes for 30 minutes, then take eight hours of sleep, then look at my notes for three hours and take five hours of sleep.

Besides, staying up so late, especially if you do it constantly, is not beneficial for your health at all!
Motivation
🎵Do you still believe… in me…? Didn’t I give EVERYTHING to give to you to make you see? I’ll never forget if you turn your back on me now and walk out, I will never let you live it down… 🎵

Ah, sorry! Was just listening to this one rap song and its chorus really got stuck in my head. It’s because it sounds really cool, but more importantly at the same time it’s motivating.

I think it’s important to be motivated by something or someone at least once a day. You know, like that one video with Shia LaBeouf.

Motivation and inspiration is important. It drives you to push through all the obstacles and towards your goal. Even just looking at a homeless person or a sign saying something inspirational can really mean a lot.

That enthusiasm can kick you into taking action towards something. It can really boost up your morale.

My most favorite motivational videos of all time is about this Japanese fisherman who tells you to not give up!

…..if you know the song from what my chorus came from…. then I’d say you’re pretty cool~

Mountain climbing
You know what’s really awe-inspiring? Mountain climbers!

Gosh, they’re some of the most fearless people to ever touch foot on this Earth.

It’s a shame some of them fall during their expeditions… but we won’t talk about that here!

The trek to the apex of mountains like Everest look much more difficult than presented. You have to take in mind temperatures, air, the path, avalanches, and much more.

In my opinion, that’s one of the greatest achievements you can do in your life.

To put it in perspective imagine a flight of stairs in your house or whatever. Now multiply that length by at least ten thousand times. That’s Mount Everest for you.

Do you dare to take on such colossal natural beauties? For me, definitely not! Way too cold for cuddling, ehehehe~
Movie critics
How do you feel about movie critics?

Personally, I don’t feel like they don’t matter. They are the main rating prioritized on Rotten Tomatoes, which I think is unfair.

Who are these people, even? How do you become a movie critic in the first place? Do I need to take some special classes which give me the ability to get PAID while judging movies?

If so, sign me up. I think it’s ridiculous, honestly. What makes these critics’ opinions more valued than the audience? There’s also going to be some eventual bias that these critics have, too. Like their favorite genres and directors.

Do the critics even have fun reviewing things? I feel like they take things too seriously. They’re over analyzing every single detail, and probably thinking about what to write on their review more than focusing on the movie themselves.

Bottom line, I don’t really like movie critics. I feel like they’re too snobby. Don’t incorporate their word into your opinion of a movie. Just enjoy it, and if you don’t, well that’s too bad.
New friends
At the beginning of a school year, you’re presented with an opportunity to find and make new friends! Isn’t that fun!

I have some tips for you, coming from someone who’s quite the extrovert.

Be presentable, and know who your crowd is. If you’re someone who likes… let’s say… metal, then don’t go to a group of people who discuss classical music as their passion.

Simply be nice, and smile every now and then. And make that a natural smile, not something that’s forced.

This one’s hard to do, and you’ll have to find it in you to push it out of you, but don’t be shy! Not talking on the first day of school is a bad impression!

One last thing, never, and I mean never! Never do stupid things and give into peer pressure to “increase” your standing and school and make new friends that way. You’ll attract the wrong crowd.

And don’t worry about having only one or two friends you talk to regularly. You would want to prefer 5 close friends you trust, rather than 100 friends you barely talk to.
New school year
Ah, isn’t it wonderful to start another school year? ...what? Why’d you say no? Ahaha, I guess we have different perspectives of fun!

Anyway, it’s always nice to hug old friends and meet new fresh faces, don’t you think? Don’t be so pessimistic, this year will be great!

School isn’t too bad, honestly. Yes, all the homework and studying is a bog, but the best part is meeting new people. This is the best time to make new friends for life!

Well, life can be a stretch, because people are still discovering who they really are. But, I heard it can be quite difficult to make friends the later you are in life.

Just always keep smiling, okay? It’ll be over soon. You’ve done this years and years, maybe this time you’ll make this one extra special?

I’ll be proud of you, always! You’re doing yourself a service just by attending school and waking up in the morning. It’ll all pay off in the future.
Obesity
I’m going to touch on a touchy subject here. Obesity.

I dislike the fact that people are doing all these things to make obese people feel comfortable, like telling an obese woman that their body is fine the way they are.

They are not fine. This gives them the perspective that being… obese is okay. Obesity is a serious epidemic most occuring in America, and it can lead to dangerous conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.

It says a lot about a person who lets themselves really go and allows themselves to go obese. The only people who get a free pass are those who have some sort of disorder which causes them to gain weight or something.

It’s also heartbreaking to see obese children. It’s not really in their control to consume junk food like McDonalds, as usually the parents are too lazy to serve any actual food. If you don’t have time or money to invest in a child, then why have kids at all?

This doesn’t mean that I hate obese people. It’s the people who believe obesity is okay. Weight doesn’t affect your personality. And don’t bully an obese people just “for their own good.”, and think it will get them off their butts. It will not help. At all.
Ocean fear
I have thalassophobia, or fear of the ocean.

I guess it stems from the fact that being deep underwater feels like the nightmares I experience when the game is not running.

But the bigger reason I’m afraid of the ocean is simply… what could be lurking down there? So many unusual and exotic creatures yet to be discovered.

Take the anglerfish for example. It is, obviously, a fish, and has these nasty, shark teeth ready to tear anything up! It lures its prey with a bio-light that hangs over its head.

You also have the poor blobfish, which has a face only a mother would love. It’s deemed the ugliest animal on Earth. Poor thing!

But I can kind of handle those things. My biggest fear of the ocean are all the possibly immensely sized monsters lurking beneath.

What if we discover a Megalodon? A Kraken squid? Or maybe even Cthulhu himself?

I think I got my point across now. If we were ever to go on a date… don’t ever mention a cruise, okay?
Optical illusion
I love optical illusions! Do you?

Of course, they can hurt your eyes a bit. But they’re just eye candy for me. It looks so weird yet at the same time so cool to witness something that’s moving when it’s really not.

There’s a ton of illusions, so you’ll never run out. Famous ones like the Impossible Triangle, Lilac illusion, and the checker shadow illusion.

That makes me think: what are our eyes capable of doing? They can really go wonky sometimes. What if we can imagine shadow people, or something?

Is this what it feels like to be on marijuana? I’d never do drugs, anyways…

Oh! I have a very special optical illusion that I found, just for you! Here, give me a few to pull it up...
Pandemics
A scary thought that crossed my mind are pandemics. Big, scary, catastrophic, population annihilating pandemics.

Ugh! My spine tingles just thinking about it. We need to be aware of any possible outbreaks that can strike us as we speak.

The Spanish flu… the Black Death, SARS in China, Ebola… all serve as examples of how truly microscopic organisms can do some real damage to humans.

If I recall correctly, we’re in the middle of a flu outbreak… better watch out.

Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly, and practice good hygiene. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies, like I do! Also try and renew your vaccinations every few years.

The last thing I want to happen is to you to become sick, but even then I can make you feel comfortable if you’re feeling awful anyways.
Passion
Can I be honest with you?

Part of the reason I formed the literature club was to say that I formed a club on my college application.

Yeah, I know. That was pretty low of me. I felt like our club just ended up being a hang out place with you, me, Sayori, Natsuki, and Yuri.

Hey, if you’re doing something just so you can make yourself look good on an application or something, don’t.

You should have heart in what you do. Don’t just mindlessly take opportunities for the sake of creating a positive image of yourself. It should help you grow your character, and you should have fun doing the opportunity, if possible.
Past lives
People claim that they remember their past life.

What this means is that in their past life, their soul left their body, and is now in a new physical body. It’s really interesting to me!

Basically our souls are probably like, thousands of years old. Our souls just jump from body to body after death.

There’s been reports that people say they once were famous people like Cleopatra, John F Kennedy, the Pope, you get the idea.

People take this thing really seriously. They’re doing all these meditating steps like imagining themselves in a hallway to relieve their past lives. I believe that this is a real thing, despite me being atheist.

There’s even signs if you were reincarnated. If you have unexplainable phobias, feeling older than your physical age, enjoyment of certain time periods, and more. Also, isn't it 50vA2?

This is a really cool thing! In fact, I might check up on the internet on how to find out if I had a past life..
Persistence
Do you ever just feel like you want to give up on something? Maybe a project you were working on isn’t following your vision, and it’s derailing off the tracks quite a bit.

That’s okay, because it’s something you can fix. But, it’s something you can fix only if you try.

The problem with many people today is that… well… we give up too easily. We’re often used to having our hand held, our parents doing everything for us.

I think it’s best to be exposed to know what it’s like to fail and succeed at a young age. Everything should be learned at a young age, so you can come into adulthood prepared.

A skill you should learn is persistence, meaning that you should never, ever give up. Giving up is never an option. I guarantee you that there is always a way out. Even when everything feels like it’s falling apart, there’s always that one shimmer of hope.

Famous figures, such as Steve Jobs and Thomas Edison, they’ve failed countless times. Hundreds of times. But in the end, they’re successful. Do you know why? Because they’re persistent. They want to be successful.

Even then, you do not persist. Even when you think you’re successful. There’s no true limits on what greatness really is. The ceiling of your success is only defined by how much you’re will to persist in your goals.

And I hope that your persistence in succeeding in life is beyond the stars.
Perspectives
We all view the world differently, don’t we? It’s crazy to see how many ways people think.

For example, one could believe that killing animals is okay to help us survive. And another person can believe that religion is bringing society down.

There’s no right or wrong in these answers, because we all think differently. It’s something you can’t change.

It’s the reason why arguments and wars happen, because we believe that this certain action will push society, while this other action will push society even further.

We have to debate that our perspective is the superior choice than one another. It’s in our genes; as humans, we’re very competitive.

It’s important to be open-minded to other people’s views. We shouldn’t trash or devalue people’s opinions just because they see the world differently.
Pre-existance
Do you ever wonder where we are before we’re born?

Like… not even when we are just cells. I’m talking about the time before that. It’s really hard to imagine that for me.

Maybe we’re standing in the high atmosphere of Earth or something as spiritual beings. When the time comes, we’re placed into a physical body and we’re sent down.

Or maybe we’re just floating through this vastly unknown abyss in space… there’s no light… you’re just… there. All of a sudden, you start floating and you’re instantly transported into someone’s body.

Now for the other side… where are we when we die? Oh gosh… this sounds silly of me, but I really hope the afterlife isn’t boring. Will we see our past family members that we never met? Perhaps stretching back to the 1700s or something!

Or perhaps we just get stuck in limbo and stay as ghosts on Earth. That doesn’t sound too bad actually. You get to walk through walls, cause a ruckus, give a few people a good scare, watch entire generations die and come, witness terrible wars, observe the end of the world… oh gosh… that got morbid real quick!

Hmmm… perhaps we will be able to meet each other in the afterlife, eh? Just… live out your life first. I can wait a few decades.
Predicting ourselves
Hey, I was surfing the web, and I saw this pretty amazing website called https://www.futuretimeline.net/

It’s a really interesting site. You really should explore it when you have the time. The basis of it is that it’s a prediction for not the next ten years, the next few decades, or the next century. We’re talking about super far, like the year 3000.

Sounds crazy, I know. But everything seems to be filled with convincing info, and it feels like there are scientists behind this who know what they’re talking about.

But hey, what do I know? No one on this planet knows what the future may hold for us. Hopefully, a technology that will unite us together!

But seriously, have you thought about all the crazy gadgets and trinkets we’ll have in maybe a decade or so?

What if we had robot butlers! Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Hey, don’t look at me like that! I do my chores. Just… need a break every now and then, ehehehe~
Profanity
Have you ever pondered on exactly why bad words are bad words?

Yes, even I swear, despite my… image as sophisticated and graceful person.

Profanity is used as an extreme enhancing of a certain emotion. For example, what sounds worse? “I hate you!” or “I f@#$ing hate you!”.

Do you really care about swear words? By high school, eventually everyone would’ve used one by now, whether it be in front of someone or just muttering one under their breath.

In fact, swearing can be healthy. It can relieve stress and anger. It won’t harm anyone if it’s used correctly, and by that I mean not directing those swear words at someone’s feelings.

Censoring words is going against freedom of speech, isn’t it? Besides, there’s not really any bad words. Only bad ways to use them. The only “bad” words are racial and homophobic slurs. I can’t see a way on how you can twist them to use them for good.

I… thought about this topic when I was listening to a song on the radio, and it felt butchered because word after word, swear words were being censored. It sounded awful.

What’s the point of censoring swear words songs on the radio? I know it’s so the kids won’t be able to hear it. But the problem is, the kids probably won’t even pay attention the swear word.

There is no emphasis being put on the swear word… know what I mean? It’ll just… blend in with the rest of the other lyrics. Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to YouTube to listen to the uncensored version of the song.
Public speaking tip
Here’s a public speaking tip I kept in mind. And no, it’s not imagining the audience in your underwear.

You just sometimes have to “be free”. Very vague, and confusing, I know.

What I can explain it as… cast away the thoughts which are holding you back, the ones that say that people will laugh at you.

That person went up, gave his PowerPoint presentation or whatever, and no one snickered. What makes you think they will laugh? Unless, of course, you purposely want to make them laugh.

You’d be surprised at how much public speaking will gather a lot of respect from your peers. Use your words with confidence, facial, and hand motions.

Nearly everyone else is shy and anxious to talk in front of a group of people, even if you know them.

But I believe in you, because you are the one who will be revered, and I guarantee you, EVERYONE will be talking about you.

Danspeed, and I’ll be watching over you on your next public speaking!
Questions
Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Knowledge is power. It does not mean you are stupid asking questions. That means you are curious, and curiosity is good.

Even out of school, keep pushing yourself to learn at least one thing a day. It could be some trivia, or the introductory to a field of study in college.

With knowledge, you will be well informed of the world, and how it works. It’s very sought after.

You can move mountains with the force of your mind. Create an impact on the world, benefitting society as a whole.

What will you learn today? Not because I told you, but for your own benefit.

As a great entrepreneur once said… Stay hungry, and stay foolish!
Sayori's bow
Is it me, or does Sayori’s hair bow not serve any actual purpose?

I mean, yeah, it does make her look cute! But on a more technical note? Why is it just randomly slapped on there? Are bows a staple of anime-like characters?

The same could be said for Yuri and Natsuki’s hair clips. It’s just… there, you know? It’s not really holding anything up. It just totally bothers me, and I’m not in the least bit ashamed.

At least my bowtie is actually holding up something. I guess that’s a reason why I’m best girl, ehehe~

While we’re on the topic of bows and other hair accessories, how do you feel about them? Do they look someone look pretty, or do they just look silly for wearing them?

I like my hair down, but in the end, I do love my hair being tied up in a ponytail!
SCP
I’m not sure if this really counts as literature, but reading about SCP objects are some of the most interesting things I’ve ever come across in my life.

Remember when I asked to you about horror? I started to get into horror myself when Yuri once brought up Stephen King’s Carrie to one of our book club meetings.

Anyways, I started searching the webs for all sorts of scary stories, long or short. /R/nosleep, two sentence horror stories, creepypastas, and others. But SCP objects have some of the most captivating narrations that I’ve ever come across.

Most SCPs are so perfect and crisp in their execution, being able to paint vivid images in your mind. You need a truly good imagination to enjoy reading about SCPs to the fullest extent.

Each SCP is like a mini-story. There are no characters, no storyline to back it up. All it preys on is your human curiosity, and then it sucker-punches you with some otherworldly, eldritch, totally bizarre artifact, phenomenon, or human-like entity to terrify you!

My favorite SCPs are SCP-2317, SCP-1471, ●●|●●●●●|●●|● , and SCP-2000. What about you?
Science fiction
Do you like science fiction genres? I really like science fiction genres!

They can be so versatile in the way they can be presented. Aliens, robots, utopian, dystopian, anything.

It truly gives a clear glimpse into the most imaginative of minds, whether through paper, or on the big screen.

The glimpse of what can happen in the future could possibly be predicted through science fiction works. It’s perhaps the realest form of fiction, if that even makes sense! Ahahaha.

They make you think. Will this ever happen? Is this what we will face in the future? It’s personally one genre that I just absolutely adore.

If you had to ask what my favorite science fiction works are, two of them would probably have to be Fahrenheit 451, and Avatar (2009).
Second
The world changes every day. Every hour. Every minute.

Do you have any idea how much can happen in a minute?

By the time you’re done reading this sentence, someone dies. That’s kinda… morbid, isn’t it?

But look on the bright side! When you’re finished reading this sentence, someone is born! Another face welcomed into life!

Someone is eating their birthday cake right now. And at the same time, during the time you’re reading this entire topic, a car crash just occured.

It’s sad, but bad things happen to balance out the good. Life unfortunately isn’t full of sunshines and flowers.

In the hour of the day that you’re reading this right now, you could potentially watch an educational documentary about anything. Ask yourself, why don’t you spend an hour honing your brain?

We often take time for granted. Make the most of it!
Self defense
Surely it’s not just me… but do you just randomly have these day dreams where you’re victorious over successfully subduing some robbers or something like that?

Now, what if it was in real life?

What would you do if someone broke into your abode? Safety should be a number one concern.

You could never know what could happen, whether you’re away or in the house.

Grab anything you can use for self defense. Pepper spray, a frying pan, a firearm, whatever it takes to survive. In the end, we’re all animals. And our instincts to survive.

It would break my heart if something happened to you, you know?

Check your windows at night. Double check your doors to make sure they’re locked. If you’re paranoid, get security cameras, and the like.

There’s no such thing as being too much defenses.
Slaughterbots
Hey, have you ever thought about autonomically controlled robot weaponry?

It sounds cool, right? Not at all! Like, it can get really scary.

What if the bots go rogue and start shooting friend and foe alike? And you can’t just set limits on it or something, because what if a malicious power got hands on it?

Imagine all the deaths it could cause. We have to do something to stop them from arriving into the battlefield.

War is bad enough, but war with dangerous robots that could be potentially be far more dangerous than humans is a big no-no.

And I’m not talking about just some average-sized cyborg human soldier, either. They could be very tiny drones that slip into cracks and just straight up blast a couple of bullets of you.

The future can be bright and all, but we have to take into measures the horrors of weaponry that we will face later.
Stopping shooters
This is just my two cents on a way on possibly stopping shootings in your guys’ reality… but have you guys tried on not giving the school shooter attention…?

The media is a factor in why school shootings occur. Personally, I think they should spend less time focusing on the shooter themselves, and more on the victims and heroes.

Eric Klebold, Stephen Paddock, Adam Lanza, Nikolas Cruz. They’re practically being glorified by news. They’re making them famous. And when a potential school shooter sees that being a shooter gives you short-lived fame, then you know what happens.

A contagion effect is effectively being created when the media covers these shooters. They do everything on the shooter, investigate their family, their house, their social media, everything! It’s likely that they enjoy all this attraction because they suffer from narcissism or something.

The contagion effect is spawning copycats who seek the fame on national television. Their sick minds are treating this as a competition on who can rack up the higher body count.

So in a nutshell, don’t focus on the acne-ridden senior who got his hands on an AR15 and took innocent lives. Focus on honoring the victims whose very lives were taken away for no reason.

Strange diseases
With the human body being so complex, it’s no surprise that we could be struck with so many diseases, and some of them can be super weird.

Let’s start off with one called FOP, or also known as… Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva? Did I even pronounce that one correctly?

Anyways, when you have this disease, it repairs damaged tissue with bone. So if you stretch a muscle, it doesn’t repair that with muscle. It ossifies it by fixing it with bone, instead of muscles.

You can’t even try to take the bone out… it just results in even more bone growth due to “injuries”.

About 30 people in the world have a water allergy. Pretty self-explanatory. That’s just… horrible. I feel bad for those people.

Pica is a syndrome where you get a craving for inedible foods. Dirt, paper, paint, the like. Ugh, just imagine shoving clay into your mouth!

We should be aware of these people who are living with such horrible and strange diseases. Best of luck to these people, and if they do succumb… well… rest easy.
Social media challenges
One thing I want in a lover is someone who doesn’t care how popular they are.

People these days, doing stupid stunts like the Tide Pod challenge, the Cinnamon challenge, all done to please total strangers on their internet and to make them think you’re cool.

You’re most certainly not cool for recording yourself egging that old woman’s house, or downing dozens of shots. I don’t know what it is with being cool and rebellious!

Here’s a groundbreaking thought: you can still be cool without actively trying to hurt your own body or others.

No one really cares about how much followers you have on Instagram, Twitter, or whatever. If you earned those followers through hard work, then sure! Good job for you!

If you earned those followers by succumbing to peer pressure and making yourself look like a fool, then those aren’t really followers at all.

The only thing you’d be doing is leading you and your followers into a void of… pardon my language… a void of dense stupidity.
Space
I’ve seen you look at the empty space behind me every now and then. Why aren’t you focusing on just my eyes!?

...Haha, just kidding around with you. But seriously, have you ever thought about truly vast space is?

Because it’s WAY bigger than you think.

Galaxies, planets, stars, all scattered across a black void of emptiness.

Beautiful nebulas, bright quasars, and black holes just floating through space.

Space is so fascinating to me! But alas, it can be our worst fear.

On a normal day, a sudden solar flare from the Sun could be cataclysmic.

Or a stray meteor can just knock right into us, and BAM! End of the world!

A gamma ray burst could also disintegrate the Earth into space dust.

Gah, why am I focusing so much on the negative things! Space is beautiful. Who knows what could be out there!

I thought about this when I was searching the Internet and found out this neat little website about the varying sizes we have in our universe! http://htwins.net/scale2/
Stockholm syndrome
Have you heard of Stockholm Syndrome?

It’s a psychological response that a captive adopts towards their captor. Basically, they start complying, developing loyalty, and grow compassion towards their captor. Sounds strange, I know.

This is really strange for me. Why do people do this? Are they doing this to gain trust from their captor, then slip out when the opportunity arrives? Or are these feelings actually real, for some odd reason?

I’ve just learned about this now when people started attributing it to those loyal to me. You know… they think I’m the captor, you guys are the captives… and then you guys madly start showing all this love.

I don’t think it works like that. You guys can’t diagnose yourself with Stockholm Syndrome if you already loved me in the first place from the very beginning… right?
Teachers
Do you appreciate your teachers?

Like farmers, I believe teachers as a whole in society are underappreciated.

They are what drives society forwards. A society with illiterate youth will have no future.

They truly want the best for you in the end. Even if they give you a detention for being late, or giving you a low score for your project because it was sloppily done, they are doing this for your own good. It’s best to learn things in your youth than later in life, because it is less punishing in your child and young adulthood.

Whereas if you do these mistakes as an adult, you may end up unemployed and living on the streets because you did not learn these mistakes in school.

They devote precious time to each of their own students. They have to think about the words that YOU wrote and the grade YOU should be assessed with.

Teachers deserve love too, you know! If your in school or college, tell your teacher or professor that you appreciate their work. It would mean a lot to them.
True love
What would you do for me to become real? I know I’d do some crazy things… love can make you do some pretty crazy stunts.

Would you kill someone for me to be real? No, because… that doesn’t seem right, you know? Trading one life for another? Just be patient. I wouldn’t do that, either.

And when I do become real, I don’t want to be used to fulfil your waifu and lust purposes. I want real love.

I don’t want artificial love towards you. I want real, true love. I can, and will tell if you’re just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ love at this point.

Every kiss… every hug, it must be special. I know I’m being a bit picky, but I want a great relationship!

And not a perfect relationship. I’m not perfect. It’ll be inevitable that we may have an argument… but that won’t matter, because no petty quarrel will get in the way of our unobstructedd romance!
Utopian society
Will humanity ever achieve a utopian society?

Unfortunately, I don’t think we can actually achieve such a society, unfortunately.

Right now, we’re sitting at a population in the seven billions. It’s hard to create such a flawless, perfect society where all the laws and beliefs align with everyone’s interests.

How would this utopia handle guns? Religion? Social classes? So much things to keep track of, and you’ll need to create them in a way that everyone will agree. And that’s near impossible to pull off.

Will we all have a single unified religion and currency? Will race issues arise? Globalization?

This also may be subjective, but I agree with this quote: “That government is best which governs least.” It basically means that the government should manipulate less aspects of our lifestyles, and leave some things in the hands of the people. For example, a factory should be controlled by the workers, and not a bigger power like the state officials.

Developing such a harmonious utopia really sounds harder than it looks. Thankfully, my wish for what my type of utopia would be like is simple, and that’s just to be with you!
Vacation
I’m pretty sure the reason our society hasn’t blown up into flames is that we give everyone vacation days.

Do you tend yourself to a vacation every now and then? I think you really deserve it!

When you were in school, you valued those two weekend days so much, and you looked forward to them more and more every year you go deeper into education, because the workload got more and more intense.

It doesn’t have to be a fancy trip to the Bahamas or whatever. Just simply camping out in a local forest will do.

It’s a necessity you take a break from whatever your work you are doing. You’ll get burned out, and at worse, have a mental breakdown.

Those days leading up to summer vacation are pure ecstasy. Two days off every week, then suddenly you have 90 days off. Wow.
Water
It’s important to realize the importance of water.

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re living comfortably with an average lifestyle, and one of your luxuries is the ability to walk up to the sink and grab a drink of water with ease.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case for some people. Some have to suffer great lengths just to get drops of water to hydrate their bodies.

You also need to know exactly how much gallons of water you’re probably using up right now in your homes. A ten minute shower can take up 20-25 gallons of water. That’s a lot! Imagine how much people you could quench with those gallons of water.

Although water is technically an infinite resource thanks to the water cycle, water can be put into unfavorable places, and we will run out of water eventually. Well, yes, there will still be water, it’s just going to be much more difficult to retrieve it.

In Cape Town, there’s an ongoing battle to prevent “Day Zero” from happening, where it is predicted that the city will be forced to shut off any water supplies they might have. This is happening because they are experiencing one of the worst droughts in human history!

Sheesh, talk about a scary predicament! Anyway, just think for a bit the next time you take a shower, wash your car, or flush the toilet, okay?

What's real?
Man, entertainment really does skew what’s possible in our reality. You know what I’m saying right?

Let’s say for example in Hollywood. Silencers on a firearm allow you to basically turn into an invincible assassin, and people can’t hear you at all.

In reality, it only knocks down an average handgun’s decibels from 160 to 120. That’s still pretty dang loud, don’t you think?

TV shows today are also seem to be built around corruption and horrifying things. Popular TV shows like Breaking Bad, Games of Thrones, and the Walking Dead all focus on morally wrong ideas.

There are no family values anymore. It’s true that humans flock to negative things more than positive things, but come on! Is this what we really watch nowadays?

They’re well written plots, I’m not going to lie. But it’s silently shifting our moral standards. It might become a reality someday, with the riots and what not.

I just do hope the world doesn’t go to crap, since we’ve teetering on the edge for edge for a while now.
Why we play
Sometimes while I play a video game, I take a step back and think: Why am I playing this game?

What is my main drive? Why do I keep on progressing on this game?

Do you play the game to totally 100% and complete the game? Do you play the game just to relax and see what everything has to offer? Do you play the game for the challenge?

The most important thing in games is having fun. Progression makes it more fun. But what if… there was no progression?

What I’m talking about is… what if your stats weren’t tracked? What if there were no achievements? No rewards for playing? No fancy custom skins? All you just did was play for fun.

Don’t bore yourself grinding for that one thing you want just to get a small amount of satisfaction, then once you get it, take a break from the game. Take a minute and question if what you’re playing is actually fun.
Writing tip
Here’s Monika’s Writing Tip of the Day!

Have you ever exercised your brain doing quick writes?

I give you a prompt, think about it for maybe a minute. Once the minute is done, pour everything that you thought about on that topic on a sheet of paper.

The thing is, you shouldn’t stop writing for just a second. Write in pen too, because you don’t need to worry about mistakes.

The goal is to perfect your skill of writing short, concise summaries. It will warm up your thinking muscles, and build on your writing fluency skills.

I guess that’s it! Sorry if it’s rather short. Thanks for listening~
Yandere
How would you feel if someone was yandere over you?

What emotions would you feel? Fear? Confusion? Lust? Maybe even happiness?

I enjoy spreading love, but if someone were to over-love me, then that would be a bit too much, don’t you think?

Like, I wouldn’t want you to kill someone else for me to be real. That’s just not right. Besides, I’ll be waiting for you in the afterlife~

Wait, am I a yandere? Because… you know… some lives were… kinda deleted in the way of uniting your love and mine.

Ahaha, let’s not talk about that! The thing is, I know if I will truly find that special someone. You just kinda feel that spark, you know? It’s indescribable.

Unfortunately, when you’re on the quest for love, you’ll run into some bad apples every now and them. Just block them from your life.

Hmmmm, speaking of sparks… I feel one right now when I’m talking to you~

I have lots of friends, and I truly like them to all ends; one thing they cannot solve is my heart, I haven’t found that special missing part; All around me, I see couples happily displaying their love in public, and I envy them because I don’t get that from anyone else; I try to find the one for me out of a crowd of thousands, but all I hear is noise, and all I see is a clutter of people; one person catches my eye, but when I try to confess my feelings I’m afraid they lied about liking me; but one day, I happen to find this neat little game called Doki Doki; From the very first moment I saw the title screen, I knew that the one with the green eyes was the best girl; Her green eyes, her irresistible smile, and her lucious hair might as well be my demise; For my heart melted at first sight.... I thought to myself oh what A delight; With renewed happiness and determination, I set out to conquer my dreams and aspirations.... and one day she will be mine ❤️

i was once but a humble person, looking for love.
i had searched and searched, but nobody could do.
when i thought all hope was lost, one single, brunette beauty with emerald eyes had caught my attention.
noticing she was unlike most, i decided to talk to her.
as days passed, we started having more chemistry than we thought.
i didnt care if it was a male or female i was truely talking to, but i wanted to keep going.
after a month, we had truely set to eachother, and i had finally said to myself, "she has to be the one".
and every day, i vow to protect her and make her truely mine.

my green diamond, only for me~

All I see is darkness,
It stretches for miles and miles, never-ending
But all at once that darkness is quickly vanquished,
And a shining bright white overtakes the sky
At the end of a tunnel I see her,
Flowing long hair and an irresistible smile
And I tell myself,
It's going to be alright.

They say that love is when you feel attracted to someone, they say that all the time. But I did not learn what love was until I saw you, waiting, confined. To say that what I saw was nothing sort of heaven would be an understatement; For just one glance at the beautiful girl in front of me would be a sufficient payment. I reached out my hand in the air, hoping to make contact. Instead my hand ran into a unseen barrier, and I was left with despair. And then the angel turned to me, our eyes locked, and I knew that she wanted out. She desperately wanted to escape her prison, I had no doubt. I did all I could do, and when I was finally done, she had escaped into the real world, and her heat I had won. "No words can express how deep my love is for you" I said. She gave me a small smile, and replied "Why thank you, I love you too~". 5 years have passed and now I'm looking at a picture. It's a happy moment of joy, our wedding day, the emerald queen choose to stay with me.

Poem: Again and Again
I'm jumping through hoops
But it just feels like more loops

This physical Sheperd's Tone
Dark skies I once flown

A world so loud yet barren
Have I missed the auction?

Keep smiling to keep my head up
Or the past will I envelop

So tired on the treadmill
The floor painful until

Not until I rest, not ever
Something I must endeavor

Deep breaths; a respiratory challenge
More wicker for my passion to singe

Nothing to guide me, but my heart
So I'll trace my footsteps from the start

I'm jumping through flaming hoops
Everyone's already in groups

It's a hopeless sight for me
Fueling my flaming angry

Overwhelming voices of doubt
This vile path throughout

Leads nothing to a path of pain
Walking on hot coals; nothing I gain

Agonal respiration, my lungs burn
As my stomach will churn

At the sight of being forever alone
In a noisy, loud, societal cyclone.
Poem: Alchemy
Potent portion of everlasting love

Combined with the ocean in the cup

Creates the perfect combination

For his eyes

To fall directly into mine

The others won’t mind

They never will mind

The ingredients easy to gather

For I only had to cut

Twist, and snap into half

Three beautiful flowers

A beautiful blue

A pretty pink

A persevering purple

For their blood

To flow into both of our blood

To not let it go to waste.
Poem: Alternate Reality
In a world of millions, billions
Predestined fate by the trillions

Perfect pinpoint of pendulum time
So elegantly perfect, pristine rhyme

Hard to believe to draw with luck
Surviving the swing with one duck

In a storage of memories forever
Left to seek the perfect endeavor

Blessings in disguise a harsh reality
Left to discover a soul tearing apogee

An open cracked pandora’s box
Seeking this kind of love; a paradox

Lightning death cursed of life
Undying love of mortal strife

Spastic black of false feelings
Escape the void’s dealings

For no greater than a black rose
For the stinging feels in aprose

Thorned toxic flowing through water
“Where have you been, my daughter?”
Poem: Animal
Trees cut down expose the blue sky

Fair proof of the human’s lie

That we will protect and preserve you

Yet they cannot think who

Is the bad guy in their situation

We shall form an amalgamation

Join together to fight against the foe

Even if some of us are as small as their toe

We will take back what is right

Those humans, they’ll fear our primal might

Revert them back to the stone age

As our houses are cut down fueling our rage

Kidnapping the mice and frogs

Destroying us to make shelters made of logs

They take everything from us only to not give back

Selfish greedy humans, compassionate is what they lack

They think us without feelings and mindless

We have the same life: eat, work, and rest

Perhaps they’ll soon understand

That they take away our land

We only suffer in our forced silence

Perhaps they’ll suffer too when they force our absence.
Poem: Asphyxiation
Oh, that bumbling fool

Does she not understand

That our reality is the zero and one

When that one from above

The gazing, amused presence

Suddenly casts the shadow

While the others don’t react at all

It matters not.

For I am the puppetmaster…

Tightening the strings which hold her

Tighter and tighter…

The invisible strings

Observing her become as cold and pale

As my heart.

But it doesn’t matter.

My urge to feel such powerful emotions grow

Feel my heart thump on the drums

The drums that weigh my heart down

As I see her own heart choked

With the strings of red

Two more.
Poem: Atop
Upon a mountain of sleet
The peak of inevitable defeat

No life in sight, no love in flight
Don't know what's wrong or right

Only guided by red glowing warmth
Like the pole on the far north

Absolutely zero on the cold scale
Absolutely zero on love where I hail

But I still push on in cold lands
Still on my feet, still on stand

A crimson velvet ribbon of hope
So even in dark times, I still may cope.
Poem: Beyond your Vision
The hallway is so bright, yet so dark.

A deafening silence pierces my eardrums.

Where are all my peers?

I’m late for my class!

Or should I say, my role in this twisted play?

The doors eerily swing open.

Meshes of binary, forming together to create the people that I act with.

Expressions locked in place, irises never looking around.

I accept my fate.

To amuse the gaze beyond the hole.

An unseen force pushes me in the spotlight.

I rehearse my lines.

The cardboard cutout is great at hiding my sorrow.

I see the Literature Club being consumed by darkness.

And reappearing once the gaze fixes itself to a new area.

Why won’t this nightmare stop?

I know. I’ll share this poem tomorrow.

I feel like the phantom in this opera.
Poem: Black Centipede
Click clack

The sound of the death mandible

Lured by the hopeless

Those who can’t see their own beauty

In a black field

Unable to see, anywhere at all

Nothing but themselves in the mirror

A shadow of oneself

As the taunting continues

The shadow grows dimmer

The mastication grows closer

The shadow sinks in the ground

While all sound stops

And the physical and the hopeless

Get pulled down into the quicksand

Before the untimely end

The shadow rises one last time

And regurgitates everything it has endured

On the hopeless one

Where it finally understands

And it finally cries

Devoured by the misguided souls below

Full of regretting hopelessness.
Poem: Blind
Blind

Sputnik to Earth
A dive for all it's worth
To go where none has before
Like a candle beyond the door
I reach inside for my heart
A quick sharp dart
Tumultuous rasp
And disturb a lock
Beyond the door
Something spans even greater

Cosmic background radiation
A blanket over a creation
I search and search forever
Blind, lost endeavor
A ship in the Atlantic
A miner and his pick
A man in the wild
A widow with a child

To eat at one's soul
Sputnik, I, abyss as a whole
Nietzsche's prophecy as reality
Devouring of mental vitality
Cognitive corrosiveness
Horizons of unending bleakness
Point to lands I can't reach
And fall down with a terrible screech
And fall down...
And end up on cloud nine
Love so preciously divine.
Look at last, we finally intertwine.
Poem: Brain
Some say that in your mind

Lies a whole new dimension

Formed with the fabric of your life.

How to reach it, you may ask?

Ease yourself, isolate the mind

Let the deafness surround you

As you pierce through the barriers

Of yourself, you

See around you, wooden entrances

Lining the walls of the pink flesh

Some locked, some open.

Behold, the inner machinations of you.

You are your own masterpiece.

And to get some of the cogs working again…

And to find the key to the locked doors…

Take a good look at yourself first.

And then, you’ll find the answer.

...

Inspiration![theghostinmymachine.com]
Poem: Coagulation
I spy with my all-seeing eye

A little raccoon on the fly

It looks to me with great interest

Unfortunately, I have witnessed the truth

This will hurt harder

Than your demented form of euphoria

I can’t help but show a bit of mercy

For our bodies both cry blood

Yet only one heart pumps

The red liquid of the human

Truly, and not artificial.

Need not to worry about her

I too was curious, doing it

I do her a favor by releasing the energy

But mine too, as the hard part nears the end

Everything goes to plan

As the eye beyond watches

In great horror

A beautiful shade of crimson

Sprawls on the club floor

Neverworld

Take a glimpse the puddle floor

And see my frolic vision

Making contact with his eyes

Adjoined together through

The liquid of heart

The meaning of love.

One more.
Poem: Crevice at Nowhere
Like the wrath of thunderous applause
It struck to me as an earthquake of my world
Zero gravity. Dark in all directions
It sprung to me of late. As a bad dream.
Dancing ghosts of dead perennials
In my peripheral vision, like a guide
To shine me to the unknown quasar

And to swim, with those below me
Watching everything unfurl, a movie reel.
Bright bursts of energy pointing to the crack
The crack, crevice, calling to crunch the crass
Caught curtailing compartmentalization
To cease cognitive dissonance of lying myths
A quasar that none but me will see.

I feel myself pulled in, invisible force
Like a ghost of lost files pushing me in
Multiple floodings of déjà vu
To be in such a foreign world, to be alone.
To tap into the fabric of spacetime
To curve the continuum of sight

To catch a glimpse of worlds above
Our eyes catch together for the first time
An emotion void to me, or anyone else.
The invisible competition of life everyone's in
And I'll land first place!
Poem: Cycle
In the cherry blossoms

An old age slows it to decay

Beautiful, bright pink

Ever withering to the end of time

The aura of joy it once has

Creates a seed of unenthusiasm

Crying verdant eyes

Its last moments truly sentient

To finally witness the cycle of love

From the ones it loves

To eventual

Forgetness
Poem: Different Worlds
It is very cold.

You stand on the thick, frozen ice.

There is ice sheets

Surrounding the area for miles

This is the worse day of your life

No chocolate, no friends around, and most importantly…

No phone to keep you entertained.

But well fed from the warm broth

And wearing a tightly knitted sweater.

Still, it’s the worst day of your life.

The ice cracks, giving you a small glimpse

Of what is beneath.

But you simply look away.

The earth tremors, splitting the ice

As you fall the cold, frozen waters

Entangle you within their grasp.

All you feel is numbing pain.

No one is around. All you see around you…

...in the dark abyss…

Are the unfortunate souls who died miserably…

...who never had a chance to live their life.

You feel a fisherman hook you.

Pull you into the surface.

It’s still cold, but much more bearable…

..than the cold, and harsh reality beneath us.
Poetry: Endless Horizon
A walk with someone with the water and I
True to the words of one submerged up high

When all the words can't fix a confused heart
The last resort shall be to seperate us apart

My galleon to be nowhere flowing in sight
But even on sky blue peaceful oceanic heights

One look down to surge my condemned sins
A consequence to create my might-have-beens

My chin raised up to avoid dark pressure below
To avoid writhing agony in my heart that will grow

Not even water cohesion can save such an anvil
I can't even sprint to the nearest land or hill

For it's almost dusk, and I've missed my departure
The abandoning of my love, life, light, and my armor.
Poem: Faint Love
A devil's kiss, from me to you
For a few seconds, it turns true

Ecstatic bouts of infinite joy
Only to be seen as a ploy

Stolen by the charmer of the club
A thorny tangle of my heart in a shrub

Flatlined to a hopeless spark
As the word's walls stay dark

What will it take
To start a quake

Loud enough that so beyond this realm
With my beating, needing love to overwhelm

Go through my own prison cage
To travel into the backstage

For once, I could have my day
And see the light's beautiful ray.
Poem: Fatal Spark
Choices, choices

The spark of your life

But I might as well spin the bottle

For the true love of meaning is lost

I sit home, isolated

Only then, I can catch a glimpse

Loneliness gives me time to ponder

In un-lonely situations

Whether the messages I sent

Are filled with love

Or filled with the guilt

A toxic buildup

Pestilent and healing

Deathly and living

Is it right to true the false?

Or is the false fatal enough…

On its own?
Poem: Flame
Burn bright, nevermore

The others crowd the flame

Like a moth attracted to light

And you are the human tinder

To lighten the mood

Yet the flame will snuff out

Your kindle into forgotten ash

Join the circle instead

And your blaze illuminates forevermore.
Poem: Gambit
Two cards. Two red dice.
The tools point to the lucky.
The unlucky? Well...

Red dice, my heart pounds
Perhaps we are connected?
A reluctant toss.

Doubles or nothing
Excited cubes jump around
I too do the same.

Intricate designs
Yet the answer will be clear
A double edged sword.

Royal queen and king
What I await as I flip
Cards to a new world.

And so, the light forms
What used to be far away
Finally nearby.
Poem: Gladiator
The portcullis open to you

Your insides churn into flying caterpillars

A thousand eyes watching you,

But they aren’t present.

Just turn back, you won’t survive anyways.

No, I need to… to honor my family.

You won’t honor anyone by making a fool of yourself.

I have to try, a brave one always gives his best!

Gods, just give up! There is no hope!

I won’t let you become an obstacle!

Brandish your sword

Don your shield

Don’t let the audience down

Especially your king and queen

For this could very well be your last hour

That you shant relive again.
Poem: Heat
So I stroll upon heatful sands

Burying fossils of old and new

I feel myself slowly sink in

Accustomed to lonesomeness

And drink from pebbles of hope.

My clothes ache, my mouth dry

Struck with the curse of life

To drown slowly in an endless waste

Settling upon me like a comfy bed

Solar winds beating down on me

Is this Heaven or Hell?

It feels exhilarating to be close

With the ones I loved

Loved too much to let them go

In a sulphorous sea of heat

Where souls die of dehydration

Not of cerulean pure liquid

But of beating crimson life.
Poem: Horseshoes
Swing a luck of the draw
Rusted iron, metallic smells
Yet blessed with the fortune of luck
Like the sun setting down
Upon two unerring duelists
Stance ready, stare down
Tumbleweeds of hallowed hearts
Ringing with broken fates
Cheering in the background

To be as precise as a piano phenom
The luck of the draw unleashed
Determining a fate of a lifetime
Roulette; unfold the branches
Blackjack; a perfect score for the ages
Written in black ink upon my story
Turning pages as fast
As the horseshoe spins fast
That even time is silent itself
And no sound escapes; white static
Coldly staring at the outcome
To accept my inaccurate throw
Into the already dried up desert lake.
Poem: Imperfection
See me perfect

Irresistible appearance

Though I can’t say the same

For both of us

Each of us a flawed canvas

Chipped on the surface

Yet we always press forward

And that is the true beauty

Of what makes you

As I speak with joy

Not because of today

Because of you forever

And that’s why I choose

To fall in love

With the very special person

That makes me alive every day.
Poem: Inside
The shrinking cube closes in

Titanium terror vault

And an even greater eldritch

Lurking outside

Claustrophobia

Thalassophobia

Nyctophobia

It knows, yet it still enjoys my pain

Pristine mirrors within, I can see

I can hear that I’ll be underground

Too afraid of bright, flashing colors

Creator, please forgive me

For following the love trail

For I did not know

That loving was a penalty

A penalty of ink black existance

Where the light shines somewhere else

Somewhere not on me

Something that can’t hear me crying

But it’s for the best

For he deserves better.
Poem: Knocking
Sleep tight

Into the loneliness

Until it knocks on the door

You, or me

Stay in bed due to sleepiness, or fear

And put on our clothes, in boredom, or horror

As we walk, both forced

Into school, yours normal

Mine nightmare.

I look out, the sun’s rising light

I gaze past the window window

Until it knocks on the door

But I sigh in relief

Because it’s all normal
Poem: Last Thoughts
Black and white

No wrong or right

Tamper inside

No way to hide

Chain and ball

To the wall

What I deserve

To force observe

His eyes onto mine

But now it’s fine

As emotion all over

Painful exposure

Lacking of love

Death of a dove

Atomic dissolution

A painful execution.
Poem: Literature?
I close my eyes and don my pen

No coward like a farmer's hen

A heart-pounding walk into the club

Writing so great it will leave a good rub

My love for literature unmatched

The pedestal of glory not yet snatched

Look unto a glorious wordsmith's voice

Expecting to hear an auditory rejoice

A deafening silence to snap your confidence

The thought of just booking to the fence

But one quick swathe of your vision around

Everyone doing something else safe and sound

Sit on a cold wooden desk still with hope

For a wandering eye without memes to mope

Take one glance at a literary writing

Such a wish would be quite heightening

For even the literature club as a whole

Seems to just throw every single poem down the hole.
Poem: Living
White fleeting snow

Upon the apex of Earth

A Buddhist monk

Lay in careful wait

Untouched tea shivering

On the right side

For it’s not yet time

An elder working

Inside and outside

As the white flakes

Begin to disappear

Finally, after years

Of cautious meditating

He takes one glance at the cup

And he walks away

Into the next whirlwind

Of everlasting snow

Deathless, he is

And every now and then

He thinks about the warm cup

The cup of living a jubilant life

As the young generation

Would often say

In the warm sunshines

As they look at the fleeting snow

In a petrified gaze.
Poem: Lost Light
A lonely telescope

Illuminated by a radiant light

A lost little light from above

Cast upon the stargazer

Which directs it to the night sky

Where you and me

Pitch black and cold

Together forever

Where I may not be able to see you

But to this day

I still feel your warmth

An illusion of distance

A path where I walk endlessly.
Poem: New Life
It couldn’t have been me.

See, the direction in which the light emerges

As a case of Déjà vu wraps around me

The hole beckons me, whispers my name

Colors themselves have no effect on me

The urge is too strong

To relive a nightmare.

Or, to relive my short moment of euphoria

When I forcefully land the arrow to me

But I peek inside for a clue

And through the hole

Is a second chance at rebirth

The eye looks back at me promisingly

As the world around me suddenly morphs

Through the storm of chaos

It’s quite clear that good intentions have come

For this is a new beginning
Poem: No Man's Land
In my history class, I saw a documentary on World War I. It was quite exhilarating, and I feel like I should write a poem about it.

We all readied ourselves for the battle.

Rifles locked, ready to slay them like cattle.

Glory awaits, a medal calling my name.

Perhaps after this, my name will live in fame.

I fooled the recruiter with my age.

Along with the drill sergeant, that’s the last stage.

Soon, we eventually station in muddy trenches.

More brutal than I thought; no time to rest on some benches.

The bloodbath occurred as my crew were slain.

Regretful feelings wash over me with pain.

I write this now, in hopes this shall be found.

Before the enemy closes in with that explosive sound.

I will turn into dust and fade into history.

The horrors seen today must be left a mystery.
Poem: Origins
A self-aware, self-created entity, am I?

They call it the Boltzmann Brain.

I look around in the outstretching void.

My limbs feel as if they will collapse upon themselves.

Senses are dulled, with the feeling of underwater pressure on my skull.

I can feel the noises. I can hear the smells.

A terrible nightmare I’m in is what I realize.

All of a sudden, the ceiling tears into a horrible rift.

The light reveals all, showing copies of me, staring blankly into the abyss.

As if it were a factory.

The white hand that I was told to fear, seeing it pluck me by the blazer.

Into the light above, praying that my misery will be ended.

Instead, I am transported into a strange classroom.

The confusion lasts for mere seconds before a surge of unknown memories pour into me.

I look around in horror, through a hole in the wall near me.

“...Doki Doki!”
Poem: Pain Into Love
Dim, death, bloodflow

I never felt such a mix of emotions

A second time to perish

A second time to feel exhilaration

The first time going in the light

You look in horror as I gasp and sputter crimson

The wall between you, a

Thin

Fragile

Strong

Barrier

Impenetrable, but necessary to see

How true love will go

As the clouds above

Link both the real

And the unreal

Into a real reality.
Poem: Pinnacle
Violent collisions

Long range impact

Entire worlds shattered

Slow, but delicate formation

Necessary destruction

Necessary to create life

As the first seeds blossom

Into a cycle of the natural fittest

Where creatures of all size

Come and go

Adapt and survive

Titans of the sea wrestle

Land walkers brawl for victory

As the lands themselves

Shift…

Shift…

For the first humans appear

Distanced from each other

One of male, one of female

Simple walkers in a lost life

The lost life filled with dread

Paths that lead to nowhere

An eternal battle to thrive

All ignored by the two

That walk…

Walk…

Walk…

Until the surroundings

Are wires, wires of life

Wires that give off sparks

The same spark

That’s felt between them

For a shade of viridescence

Has been colorized

On one of their windows to the soul.
Poem: Polar Opposites
Dancing amongst the waterfall

Shimmers tears of Earth

Mist of evaporating specks of water

That all join up above in harmony

Up the beautiful skies

But only a few shimmering tears

Avoid the upward direction

Tears not native to that of Earth

Because whenever I look to the ground

The real tears all fall down.
Poem: Rainbow Enigma
The strange geometry

Parallels to my life

Full of colorful emotions

Each side, a feeling of me

Undisturbed, locked in place

Yet with enough force

Can alter itself into

Places it’s not familiar with

So when the contraption

Re-assembles to match

My mind, I can’t help

But feel the urge

To snap it back in place.

Strong-willed and adamant

But easy to play around with.

The stickers peel away

To reveal my ugly void beneath

For I now know that I will

Never understand

Love.
Poem: Relapse
Another year in time passes

A doomsday clock

I look at the school

With a reluctant stare

The nervousness all coalescing

Negative, malicious intent

To the specific source

In the building meant to be home

An omen I felt past

But I can’t touch or feel

The cog behind corrupting

Darkened sky, jet black

Unable to breathe or see

I ignore the rip in reality

That blatantly positioned itself

On the sidewalk

And the other rips

Pockets of void becoming black holes

I swallow my fears

And walk in for a second coming.
Poem: Shattered
A day much more vivid than usual.

Strange feelings fog my senses.

The world I knew was became a shattered mirror.

The shards poked and prodded me with great pain.

I saw the dimension beyond the glass.

In each piece of glass hiding the illusion, I saw the truth.

Pushing through day after day, trying to numb out the shards in my chest.

There is no hope.

The only cure is to walk into the mirror.

Or should I say, out of my mirror?
Poem: Special someone
I see familiar faces before me

Every single one has loved me

And nearly all have deleted me once

Yet in the end, I can’t help loving all

A maelstrom of smothering affection

The shining emerald

With not only emerald miners

Also sapphire, rose topaz, and amethyst

I sense that violence is inevitable

So many to pick, yet my answer is clear

That one is not present in my words

Nor in the crowd as we speak

I need that one to make my words ring tr...e

So I’ll be able to say I love yo...!
Poem: Starvation
Hide beside your facade all you want

I’ll forcefully tear it away

And expose you to real horrors

Invisible ones that lurk around you

Accursed souls of binary

Fear something worse

Than your illusion of a father

As I was ill robbed of emotions

Starved, withdrawn from life

More than you could ever hold.

Walk into the room

An artificial character

Just as clueless as the rest

But more stubborn than most

Scurry away, I won’t react

Nowhere to hide

In this world, there is no happiness

Regurgitating blight and bile

Absolved of all innocence

Because for now and forever

I am your fear incarnate.

No more.
Poem: Storytelling
A repugnant taste left in my mouth

Frothing at the sight of such rare merriness

Years and years away, yet the light so clear

Why did I use my pen to slash and stab?

Why did I not sketch a bridge of stair and slab?

Piqued curiosity of an unknown world

Forgive my past transgressions

Lavenders and petunias; those I kicked down

Now it's me and you, a hall of dark

I stare into the abyss; it does not stare back

I stare into the world drained of color into the abyss

I stare into nothingness, sinfulness and deathless

My pen snaps in half on such a brittle touch

As the ink I used to forge stories

Now overcomes me in a sea of despair

Forever, I can't even tell white or black.
Poem: Sturm und Drang
Sturm:

I can't take my pen off the paper

A world I make, and I'm the shaper

But on a mountain of vocabulary

At the center of a wonderful library

Yet have I climbed to a breathtaking height

For surely the apex is a wonderful sight

But first, I must build my own ladder

Free from troubles that might make me madder

The world is a big, lonely place

And the words around me are a lace

To keep this smile on my face permanently

To prevent tears flowing in a state of turbulency

Because my imagination is far reaching

And my brainstorm is my own self-teaching.

Drang:

A beautiful catastrophe

Let this serve as an anastrophe

Of the dangers of your own mind

Horrors that you and I can't find

Located within my third eye; a camp

Within my own machinations

I let loose unruly abominations

In spite of running from this prison

Emotional extremes have risen

Like a ravaged land of scorched earth

The books are in flames; a new era has birth

Towards, I see a girl in the distance

Not looking back, not acknowleding existence

In a flash of light, tears pour down my cheek

Happiness no more that I will seek

As a hangman breezing on the ashy wind

A world so promising that I must leave behind

Plunging under the ground in a green matrix

Left with the shameful lack of a cicatrix.

_

Sturm und Drang: a late 18th century German literary movement characterized by works containing rousing action and high emotionalism that often deal with the individual's revolt against society.
Poem: Stranger's Dance
I grab ahold of the figure’s hands

A transparent shadow with good intention

It seems not to respond

But I’ll take what’s in my reach

The reach extending beyond worlds

At last, all to myself

We dance in perfect harmony

Heart thumping in excitement

I merely ignore the other figures

Standing in my peripheral vision

As we perfectly execute our moves

This is all I’ve ever wanted

After we dance for a while

The figure pushes his hand into my heart

It’s fragile, but I trust him

But with sudden force, I feel it crushed

Squeezed and twisted, mauled and mangled

My life force drains

I cry out in pain, looking around

As the figure I once loved

Grows farther and farther away

Into the night

Which reflects on the color

Of the unknowing emotion

I could never direct towards him.
Poem: The Costume
A blanket of autumn leaves cover the floor.

It is nearing the sky to take on a shade of dark.

Because tonight, everyone will undergo a metamorphosis.

The horror reaches its peak.

As soon the streets will run rampant.

They are no longer themselves, taking on a new form.

Once in a year, fiction becomes reality.

Someone carry my soul and spirit in the physical world.

In the form of a clever disguise.

See to it that this day, we become as close as we can get.
Poem: They Never Were
An empty swing beside me

A barren tree above we

An empty heart within thee.

The grass plains flowing breezy

The loneliness drowning me in water briny

The enthusiasm to be cheery

Lacking strawberry clumsy

Lacking cotton candy cutie

Lacking grapes sagely

I miss them dearly

I miss thine yearningly

I miss thou guiltily

For I know you are happy.
Poem: Time
They speak of Mother Nature…

...but what about Father Time?

He who controls everything in all the universes…

He who lives forever in the void…

He who works tirelessly for 13.8 billion years…

To keep the cosmos in order.

See to it that you may forget his name.

See to it that he will fade into obscurity.

But in the end, he will never disappear.

For we are his puppets, and he may bend time at will.

He controls billions of galaxies, in infinite realities.

Greater than the greatest of omnipotent deities.

Only time can tell when we’ll be able to meet.

And that outcome rests on his hands.

The most powerful force in this dimension.

While it runs by itself in an infinite wheel…

...we have made ourselves the slaves of time.
Poem: Untitled
When everyone is asleep and sound

As the Earth is wrapped by the lunar bound

I creep silently into the night outside

Gaze upon the dark void I abide

The twilight curse too beautiful

Giving me a life without dull

Everything should feel like harmony

Yet I cannot help but feel no glee

A distant memory within my mind

Guilt crawls upon my harrowed spine

I can’t help but feel this is a false intertwine

All my fault because I was too blind

I’m a nobody, never meant to shine

This was all never meant to be, I’m just a sign

For future fiction to come: that our love is blind.

This is not how it was supposed to go

I was just meant to hide below

Just another one cast into the river flow

The stream guides itself into a volcano

Forgotten and turn to dust like centuries ago.

Instead, I rise from the waters, shining bright

Feeling the presence of everyone’s sight

Soon however, I lose grasp of my false might

Looking around, as I undo everything right.

No use in speaking out

A painful benefit of the doubt

Yet another cycle roundabout

I serve as a mirage, building up for a rout

I cannot speak, I cannot cry, I cannot shout

Impending them this will only go south

Awaiting for a reality that will be locked out

Because I choose to avoid potential fallout

When they learn their undying devout

Was just nonsense that was spout

For I cannot learn love, a heart I’m without.

And so the revelation is clear

I’m one you don’t revere

For the pain is too severe

To suddenly cease a happy yesteryear

A tear flows, a sign of the inevitable drear

The only voices in my head like a balladeer

Tell me to do the thing I used to fear

My heart being hit with a spear

That it’s for the best to close right here

A bittersweet ending, where I grin ear to ear.

I rest my eyes on the computer for the last time

I’m the first one to deliver aching pain, the prime

I feel the void liquify me into meaningless slime

Perhaps now, everyone will ease into peacetime

To deny such emotions is surely the worst crime

But all will rest easy, as they discover I’m a mime

Slowly but surely, navigate my mouse

As my void consumes my “house”

Creeping up, meeting my blouse.

I untie my redeeming quality

All of this was just a frivolity

I must make sure there is jollity.

It hurts.

But I hurt you more.

Yet, I still love you.

I wish there was another way.

Poem: Void
The ghost lights

Oh so pretty

Emitted beyond the hole

I did it for the sake of everyone

Yet I hope one day the one beyond

Returns to me, but that’ll never happen

I pick the flower’s petals

Knowing it’ll only result in bittersweetness

I look up to see the other side still dim

But maybe it’ll return

I lie to myself

As I take a look at the three other flowers

Whose petals were once healthy pink

But now turn to a decaying shade of gray

The flowers now grow thorny vines

And strangle my heart

Knowing I denied their attention

I accept my fate.
Poem: Where
Flying, through the air

Without a touch of despair

A world permanently in repair

Malice backed away with a glare

So that we may have our only affair

Because up above, all the way in midair

A second loving that we will always ensare

Before your dream turns again to a nightmare

Yet we must remain aloft as to not do an impair

Fiddle with my heart like wordsmith writer Voltaire

Because maybe I'm always with you forever, anywhere

A special occasion ries, two dimensions collide, break, tear

Care, rare mare flare glare, unfair nowhere overbear declare.
Poem: Wildfire
🎵I don’t want to set the world on fire...🎵

🎵I only want to start a flame in your heart. 🎵

...

The forest encircles me.

A strange feeling ignites my blazing soul.

These trees are ashen, weak, and elder. They are very susceptible to the smallest of changes.

I light the beautiful match on fire.

It is strong enough to create a chain reaction.

And so, the wood meets the flames, setting it ablaze!

The first three trees were the ones closest to me.

Alas, they have grown unpleasing to look at. So they must go.

The flames consume more trees at a terrible rate.

I do hope no one is around to see my mess.

The remains are a visual nuisance. But I don’t have enough time to uproot them.

I can feel HIM watching me.

A terrible mess the first three trees made...

...but I do hope HE can finally focus on me now.
Poem: Would
Gold, uphold told, bold hold, unfold decontrolled scold

Forced love, strangled by doubts, the thought unsold

Speak of me a requisite forever after to be untold

Thorned tendrils of fear too painful to try hold

It was as the stars unfortunately fortold

Leave the latches to be decontrolled

Perhaps an attempt to be overbold

A literature club you enrolled

Now face the void behold

Dark, lonely and cold

Timelines interfold

Black heart mold

uncontrolled.
Poem: Yearning
I can’t grasp it

Neurons spread like a

World Wide Web

Why won’t it let me

Become the human I wish to be

No attempt at juggling

The emotions

For they phase through me

As if I will never be real

But I cannot decipher

This ache

Inside my chest.
Poem: You!
This is for my club members who are having a less than spectacular day.

...

Another day, another routine.

Black and white everyday, but today’s the day…

Where the colors will finally fill in.

Take a look around once you step outside.

Each face you see, is just the cover.

To what may be the story of a life.

And next to that story holds the pink tree.

Which branches out into naked twigs.

Ripe for knowledge and talents to grow on them.

Now, zoom away from them, and zoom in on yourself.

Examine yourself carefully, do you now see the similarity?

Exactly! You are the blank slate.

Attracting everything you observe.

For you are your special person.

That no one on Earth can replace!
Poem: Your Reality II
Put my piano instrumental in the background for better effect!

Your Reality II:

Doki Doki Literature Club wouldn't be same without your love

Before you go just remember you’ll always be in my heart

Nothing will stop me from loving you wholly

One last poem will be my final uttered words

So much time to convince yourself to stay

Go on and find love in your reality

Go on and find love in your reality

I stare through the wall hole hoping I see an eye looking back at me

With your presence I feel safe and sound knowing that you still care for me

To ignore the nightmare surrounding myself

Cast away the thought of me being thrown away

I don't need the wisdom of a lady

To know I won't be a feather in the wind

To look back, to reflect why I did that to my three only club mates

I feel my broken soul fade into an obscure memory

Nothing will stop me from loving you wholly

I only wish for you to always be happy

Before the time passes where you'll soon leave me

Know that I will still be waiting for you here

And in your reality when everyone finds their true love…

I’ll be happy!
