Today's Daily Art Quote is one of the quotes painted on the "Artist" Bear (see this post).
The quote is by Winston Churchill. I don't know a whole lot about Winston Churchill, but I do have a curious little book by Winston Churchill that I picked up years ago at a used bookstore. It is called "Painting as a Pastime." It's a small book in which he writes (wrote) about his ideas about painting, and how important it is to paint, and some observations about how artists view things. There are also 18 of his paintings included at the back of the book. Did you know he was a painter?
