8 Breathtaking Photos of Jessica Gomes in Yellowstone National Park

The model posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue every year between 2008 and ’15.

Jessica Gomes was photographed by James Macari in Yellowstone National Park.

Jessica Gomes first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2008, when she double-dipped for a beachside photoshoot in Israel and a bodypaint feature in Turks and Caicos. She returned to the fold each year through 2015, and traveled everywhere from Portugal to China to Madagascar with the brand. Her most recent feature with the magazine was a naturally beautiful spread that took place in the great outdoors of Yellowstone National Park

In addition to her consecutive appearances in the SI Swimsuit Issue, the 38-year-old Australian model has also worked with brands like H&M, Vogue, Victoria’s Secret, Urban Outfitters, Levi’s and DKNY Jeans, and was featured on the April 2016 cover of InStyle Australia. She also competed on the first season of the Korean version of Dancing With the Stars. And while Gomes has been modeling since the age of 10, she was a self-described “tomboy” growing up.

“My mother put me into grooming and deployment classes because she was like ‘you need to start acting like a lady,’” she stated. “So I started doing fashion shows and TV commercials. I got scouted by an Australian agency and I started traveling to Asia to work and then came to America.”

And while Gomes told us that she didn’t see a copy of the SI Swimsuit Issue until she was 17, the magazine was an inspiration to her as a young model. “I remember hearing about it because I idolized Elle Macpherson and I remember seeing all her old covers,” she said. “And I just remember thinking, ‘Wow, I’d love to do that.’”

Below are a few of our favorite snaps of Gomes captured by James Macari in the great outdoors.
