Senior Airman Stephen Lowmiller, aircrew flight equipment apprentice with the 919th Special Operations Support Squadron, learned first-hand how simple the Get1Now program is to use.

After joining the Air Force Reserve as a a member of the 919th Special Operations Wing, Lowmiller new that Reserve service would be a great fit for a close family friend. Lowmiller’s recruiter told him about the Get1Now program which made referring his friend much easier.

“The referral process was simple,” said Lowmiller. “I connected the Airman with my previous recruiter via the Get1Now app.”

The Get1Now program is a great aid to recruiters as well. Chief Master Sergeant Michael Nienhaus, chief of 919th Special Operations Wing recruiting, has seen how much the Get1Now program has bolstered recruiting efforts and helped members of the 919th Special Operations Wing refer those who could be a great fit for Reserve service.

“If you enjoy being in the Air Force Reserve and it's made an impact on your life, don't keep it a secret! Share your story,” said Nienhaus. “I promise there are people in your scope of influence who need what you've found and we would welcome the opportunity to talk to them.”

After using the Get1Now app, Lowmiller believes that other members should also use the program to refer people to a recruiter.

“I would recommend the Get1Now [program] to people because it is a quick and easy way to get an interested person quickly connected to a recruiter,” said Lowmiller.
