AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
"Everything I want in a thriller. Sexy, shocking, and tense with an ending I never saw coming. Jeneva Rose is the queen of twists."--Colleen Hoover, #1 New York Times bestselling author
The highly anticipated new thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of The Perfect Marriage and One of Us Is Dead
You've opened up your house and your heart to a total stranger ... What could possibly go wrong?
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she's pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells--and he's eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she's not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn't right with the ranch.
Despite her uneasiness, the two bond and start to fall for one another. However, as her departure date nears, things change for the worse. What began as a playful romance soon turns into a complicated web of lies. Grace grows wary of Calvin as his infatuation for her seems to have morphed to obsession. Calvin fears that Grace is hiding something from him--including her reason for staying at his ranch to begin with. Vacation flings typically end in heartbreak, but for Grace and Calvin, it'll be far more destructive.

Review
"[An] intriguing thriller...A sinister undercurrent runs throughout, and while the reader is privy to each narrator's thoughts, there are a few land mines buried along the way to the surprise ending. Rose should win new fans with this one." --Publishers Weekly
"What begins as sizzling chemistry between a guest and her host at an Airbnb on a remote Wyoming ranch turns into an undertone of menace. The tension mounts as the shiver of dread on each page becomes a shudder because the guest cannot leave. I tore through You Shouldn't Have Come Here, a tantalizing suspense in which everyone's secrets lead to danger, death, and an ending that will blow your mind. A hypnotizing read!" --Samantha M. Bailey, USA Today and #1 bestselling author of Woman on the Edge and Watch Out for Her
"Everything I want in a thriller. Sexy, shocking, and tense with an ending I never saw coming. Jeneva Rose is the queen of twists." --Colleen Hoover, #1 New York Times bestselling author
"A dark, suspenseful psychological thriller with a great premise and masterful use of twists. Rarely have I read a book where I have switched allegiance with characters so frequently and still got my prediction wrong. It's a pitch-perfect sinister read and begging for a sequel." --John Marrs, USA Today bestselling author of The One
"Queen of domestic suspense, Jeneva Rose, has done it again. You Shouldn't Have Come Here is a sexy, twisty thriller from the first page to the last. Nothing is exactly how it seems, no one is telling the whole truth, and you'll be racing through the pages to see how Rose weaves together her newest impossible-to-put-down thriller. I devoured it in a single sitting!" --Danielle Girard, USA Today bestselling author of Far Gone
"Suspense at its finest: original, emotional, and a twist for the ages. Jeneva Rose is a force to be reckoned with, and You Shouldn't Have Come Here is her best yet." --Alex Finlay, author of The Night Shift
"A page-turner from start to finish with a whiplash of a twist ending, Rose has cemented her place as a must-read author for fans of domestic thrillers. Sexy, sizzling, and suspenseful." --Jennifer Hillier, USA Today bestselling author of Things We Do in the Dark and Little Secrets
"Jeneva Rose's latest is a cat-and-mouse thriller, rustic Airbnb style. Throw in sexy romantic tension between narrators Grace and Calvin, and you have an unputdownable story where the suspense accelerates with every page turned. The twist at the end is brilliantly unexpected. This story will make you think twice about your next vacation rental, and about being a host. Sexy, shocking suspense." --Kaira Rouda, USA Today bestselling authorAbout the Author

REVIEW :
First two books by this author for me were The Perfect Marriage (‘20 - Read ‘22 - 4 Stars) and One of Us is Dead (‘22 - Read ‘23 - 4 Stars). Like the writing but the plot went nowhere for me. I kept waiting for more. At about 95% it got a little more twisty. The ending, for me, hinted at a sequel; don’t think I’ll read if there is. The book overall fell flat for me. I went with a generous 3 stars.
Chapter two and several more - the very specific beer mentioned is a TWIST OFF, not a pop top. There is no need to use a countertop, tractor, bottle opener, etc. Literally grip it between the thumb and pointer and twist. This is a basic flaw that was easily researched or not mentioning a brand.
Chapter 13 - "...No one ever mentions that death has a sweet odor like the smell of a fresh-cut lawn or a ripe banana...." This is after the FMC, Grace, had fallen into a pit of dead animals. This was completely avoidable. There was no reason to investigate any sound in this direction as the smell would have been a deterrent. Clearly, the author hasn't had the displeasure of smelling the aroma of a decaying animal. I can attest it is NOTHING like fresh cut grass, a ripe banana, or remotely sweet. It is, in fact, distinct and bad.
Why is there a Calvin POV when he dies at the end and the book continues. This pulled me completely out of the book and what was almost a four star rating.
