Fix LED turn signal lights bulb fast hyper flash (blinking) or brake lights error code due to LED bulbs drawing much less current than stock lamps with our LED Bulb Load Equalizer.
The universal 50W 6ohm LED resistors can be used for fixing the malfunction of not lighting up, flickering on and off, or error code on the dashboard after installing LED headlights, fog lights, turn signal lights, brake tail lights, or daytime running lights (DRL) bulbs for vehicles.
First solution: Replace the traditional filament bulb with a CANbus-compatible LED bulb.
Second solution: Use resistor kits to add resistance to the circuit.
Important Notice: The heat sink will get hot. Please make sure the metal resistance does not contact with plastic or wire to prevent the plastic from melting.
Q: I'm having a flickering problem with my turn signals, but I'm not sure which two wires the resistor should go on.
A: Detailed explanation of wire connections for different turn signal models.
Q: I'm not sure how to use splice taps and what to look for during the connection process.
A: Using a splice tap is a common method when connecting a resistor to an LED bulb. Below is a simple step-by-step guide as well as an installation schematic:
1. One end of the splice tap is connected to the output port of the resistor.
2. Plug the LED bulb into the other end of the splice tap.
3. Then use pliers to depress the tab on the connector.
4. Check that all connections are secure to ensure a good electrical connection and that no wires are exposed.
5. Finally, turn on the power switch to test the LED bulb for proper operation.
Here is a detailed video tutorial for you on how to install Load Resistors. In this video, @Morozov Automotive will do the installation of front turn signal switchback LED light bulbs from AUXITO in the 2020 Toyota RAV4 and provide a detailed tutorial on how to install the resistor decoder. Including the tools used to install the decoder, and how to wire and place the resistor, you can get more information in this video!
Compatibility: This universal 50W 6ohm LED resistor can be compatible with most European vehicles, yet we cannot guarantee it fixes all problems. If it does not work for you, please contact us, and we will figure out a solution.
Note: LED bulbs are not included and are sold separately.
It is important to note that some vehicles may require a combination of both solutions to overcome the issue. It is also recommended to use high-quality LED bulbs and resistor kits from reputable manufacturers to ensure optimal performance and avoid potential safety issues.
Q: Can these load resistors fix the brake light hyper-flicker?
A: Yes, these load resistors can fix LED turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights, taillights, and other indicators that have a super flicker problem.
Q: What should I look for after installing the resistors?
A: You need to be careful where you place the load resistor. It is a good idea to always mount a load resistor to a metal surface away from other wires or plastic parts. Also, do not turn on the signal lamp with the load resistor installed for a long time to prevent the load resistor from running too hot.
We recommend using self-tapping screws or bolts instead of tape when placing the load resistor.
Q: How to merge the wire?
A: We recommend you use a wire stripper to expose the copper wire in a small slit without damaging anything. If you don't have a wire stripper, you can also scrape through the plastic using a knife or scissors. Don't forget to use electrical tape to cover it after you connect the wires. One of the advantages of merging wires is the guaranteed success rate, ensuring consistent functionality without the intermittent working/non-working issues often encountered with T-taps.
Q: Does this resistor work for LED fog lights or LED headlight bulbs that are having decoding problems?
A: Sorry, no. This resistor is only suitable for solving decoding problems of LED turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights, tail lights, and other signal lights. If you need to solve the problem of LED fog lights or LED headlight bulbs, you should choose the CANBUS DECODERS that correspond to the bulb model.
Q: I have 7444 LED bulbs in my front turn signals and these flashes very fast, should I install the resistor on the rear turn signal that carries factory halogen bulbs or do I need to install the led resistor on the front turn signal that has the LEDs?
A: The resistor must be located on the light that was replaced from incandescent to LED. So it should be installed on the front LED turn signals.
