good movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.“Fahrenheit 451” (1966) Very scary concept from Ray Bradbury, probably inspired by the infamous public book-burnings orchestrated by Paul Joseph Goebbels on the eve of WWII. The film differs somewhat from Bradbury’s original book in that it deletes some things, while adding others. It is a shame that German character actor Anton Diffring’s voice had to be dubbed. One wonders, though, how the Captain of the book-burning firemen (Cyril Cusack) knew so much about the books he was burning, when all books were banned and reading any of them was forbidden. Fine performances are delivered by Julie Christie (as Linda Montag and Clarisse) and Oskar Werner (as Guy Montag).

I love it but..
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The book is better of course. I read the book and then watch the movie back in high school when our teacher wanted us to write our own short stories. Out of all of them she liked mine the best. But this movie is still beautiful!

60 years of firemen burning books
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.in the future, firemen are use to burn books, and help keep the the community in line and not able to read about their past from books. The 451 is the tempature at which paper burns. NO digital copy code, but still a good scifi classic you should add to your collection. Enjoy
