“You are now a part of a nation with a rich history of progress, innovation, and resilience,” said former first lady Melania Trump during remarks at a naturalization ceremony as part of the Bill of Rights Day celebration at the National Archives. “For me, reaching the milestone of American citizenship marked the sunrise of certainty,” expressed Mrs. Trump who became a naturalized citizen in 2006 after moving to the U.S. in 1996. Also delivering remarks at the ceremony was United States Archivist Colleen Shogan. close
