Two vintage bows and arrows from Papua New Guinea, Bougainville Island.
One bow is entirely covered by intricate weaving, geometric plaiting in brown and yellow-cream fiber, the 4 matching arrows have similar woven patterns close to the tips.
Origin Bougainville Island.
A very decorative piece.

The second bow is made from bamboo and has a vine for a bowstring.
Atypical for the PNG region. Nice patina on some parts.
3 matching arrows, one has a bamboo tip for hunting game, one has typical barbs, one old and dark.
Origin Eastern Papua New Guinea or New Britain.
