Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter has left fans feeling hot under the collar after she posted a stunning throwback snap in a black swimsuit.

Fans were transported to the 80s after they saw Linda's incredible figure in a teeny black swimsuit that clung to her iconic curves.

The star, who appeared in the last Wonder Woman film with Gal Gadot, posed in the sea and allowed her stunning locks to fall by her face-framing her elegant facial features.

While another said: "Absolutely gorgeous," as a third wrote: "Always stunning."

Lynda regularly pays homage to her time as Wonder Woman - with the film franchise and her family being a central aspect to her Instagram feed.

Sadly, a lot of Lynda's family posts are to remember her loved ones.

Just last year she announced to her followers that she had lost her father, Colby Carter.

It came a year after her husband Robert A. Altman, passed away.

Lynda shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, where she paid tribute to her dad, who was a war veteran.

She wrote: "My father, Colby Carter, passed away last night at the age of 99. He was a deeply adventurous man who loved to travel, and he gave me my appreciation of this beautiful country.

"As a World War II veteran, he truly gave meaning to the term 'Greatest Generation.'

"My dad was a steadying force early in my career, making sure I saved up early on so I could move to LA and pursue acting.

"I loved to see him in the audience at my concerts, and I know he was one of my biggest cheerleaders.

"Later in life, it was the most special gift to watch him be a loving grandfather to my children. Dad, I will love and miss you forever."
