    The Creater Lake Monster

    Not a bad story, but the acting is terrible as is so often the case in these type of movies..But that's half the fun, right?.. The creature itself is a pretty good stop-motion Pleiseosaur. Only when they show the close up life size dinosaur head in the water, does it's very limited budget really show. If you like a good bad movie, relax have some popcorn and enjoy.

    the crater lake monster

    If you like giant monster movies this one is worth a look. I bought it because the man who made the monster also created the Pillbury Doughboy but the movie stands on its own. It was released in 1977 so the creature is a little lame by today's standards but still pretty good. The pair of boat rental owners adds just the right touch of humor.

    At least the scenery was real

    Great mountain filming location, Palomar mountain. The movie was not an Oscar winner, but the scenery was nice. The Palomar Cafe is still there. The rustic cabins are still around also.
