Nicholas Sparks wrote the book. Movie continued the style.
Forgive me for finding Julianne Hough lovely. I'd probably watch a movie of her eating dinner, but this story is based on the Nicholas Sparks book by the same name. Both characters are great in their roles, the setting is beautiful, friendly seaside town and Hough's character is escaping her troubled past. The last thing she wants is a relationship, but, it's a chick movie so it happens. Just when she settles in to her new life, her past catches up. I'm a guy and found it entertaining, I even recommend it to my friends. Sparks always puts a twist into the story and I didn't see this one coming. The copy I bought was like new, both the DVD and BluRay. It seems the movie is no longer available on Amazon, so I was glad to snag a copy. I've bought it before, as a gift for a lady friend who ... Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough are GREAT !!!, in telling this story on film. Set in Southport N.C. where Julianne moves and meets Josh as a small town shopkeeper. And love grows. It's a tender and thrilling movie--and as in all Sparks books and movies--get your Kleenex ready for the final scene--As good as the 'Notebook'--buy it & watch it !!!!---frankjann2012

Love this movie!
I just watched this movie on TV and had to have it so I could watch it at anytime. Good plot, characters, etc. Highly recommend. And it's pretty much a chick flick so not sure if the guys will love it like I did but it's very good.
