This riveting movie follows Anne as a young adult in the early 1900s. Her husband enlists in the military as a medic, serving in France during in World War I, and his whereabouts become unknown. Anne, headstrong as ever, travels to France on a mission to find him. The movie chronicles the obstacles she faces in her search. Not a fan of this movie..
Was not a fan of this movie. I have only ever seen the first two, and was curious how the story ended. Well, after watching this one, I kind of wished I had never known. It had good parts, but was overall disappointing. It also had some sexual suggestions, which I didn't like; the first two were wholesome and clean. The acting wasn't as good, and the actors were much older. The product itself arrived in good condition. Was not a fan of this movie. I have only ever seen the first two, and was curious how the story ended. Well, after watching this one, I kind of wished I had never known. It had good parts, but was overall disappointing. It also had some sexual suggestions, which I didn't like; the first two were wholesome and clean. The acting wasn't as good, and the actors were much older. The product itself arrived in good condition.

Disappointing and yet still good
Any one who has read the Anne of Green Gables books will be disappointed. This movie has NOTHING from the original series whatsoever. In the books she has grown children that are going to war in WWI. In this movie she is newly married and trying to find Gilbert in France who is missing in the war. Trying to pass a 34? year old woman off as being in her mid-twentys looks ridiculous to me. The dialog in places seems forced, like being friends now with Josie Pye. The movie is too graphic for little children with blood oozing from a dying mother's neck and the ravages of war on men's bodies. I also didn't appreciate the smoking and drinking. For an Anne of Green Gables fan, the movie is a huge disappointment. For someone wanting a relatively clean, relatively wholesome ... The DVD arrived on time and was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the story in this movie did not live up to that quality of the first two installments of Anne of Green Gables. Why the writer went off in this new direction left me scratching my head after the movie. I was looking forward to seeing a romance between Anne and Gilbert bloom, but Gilbert had a bit part in this movie. Most of the movie was about Anne looking for Gilbert after he went missing in France during World War One.The DVD arrived on time and was in excellent condition. Fantastic film
A very interesting film with something to satisfy everyone. Love, action and courage. It is very noticeable that it wasnt produced within the last ten years as it is very little politics or SJW causes which makes it all the more refreshing. Men were men and women were women.
