First off I like Bo Derek for the person she is in caring so much about horses and animals, bigger stars do one tiny thing for animals and people are ready to build a temple in their honor, Ms. Derek works every day to help animals and is ignored as is her work with the USO ( as veteran and a one who works in animal rescue I have a great deal of respoect for her). To the film, films that feature such thigs as nudity and less known or cared about thigs like horse back riding are to the viewers taste, the horse back riding in this film is some of the best on film (Bo does her own riding), and the film is soft core porn, but I think is well done soft core porn, however those that prefer hard core porn and I don't will think the film to tame. No it is not acting type film, but when you lokk ... Sexiest Movie of the 80's..
Excellent restoration of one of the most controversial films of the 80's. The movie always had gorgeous cinematography and it looks even more stunning in this widescreen version. Although the dvd is given an 'R' rating, this is the original uncut and uncensored version that played in theaters. John Derek's earlier "Tarzan the Ape Man" failed to deliver the erotic scenes that people expected; but "Bolero" brings it on in spades...the sex scenes are mind boggling! The Elmer Bernstein score is also gorgeous and lends class to this glossy production.Excellent restoration of one of the most controversial films of the 80's. The movie always had gorgeous cinematography and it looks even more stunning in this widescreen version. Very erotic movie
I remember seeing this movie 20 years ago, and the scene with the honey has always stayed with me. The dialog is a little tame, if not boring, but great erotic scenes, and a bull fight. Bo definitly brings out the passion in this movie, and shows her stuff.
