    A History of Venice well-done

    I love Venice and go there whenever financially possible. I highly recommend this video to anyone interested in history. It gives an very good brief history of the origins of the Most Serene lady of the sea and to everyone else just because it is so well done and offers beautiful sites of a beautiful and important city in the history of Italy and Europe and the Mediterranean world. As one other reviewer said it's a good introduction to the city for anyone preparing to make their first visit there.

    Misleading title

    I was hoping for more information about the early history and construction of Venice, which this video covers in a somewhat cursory and crudely illustrated fashion, but then passes on to the usual touristic pastiche. There is little real information about the "miraculous canals."
