Sex & Nudity

- Frequent strong sexual content, including graphic sexual references.
- Sex scenes are rampant in this series that often features a variety of sexual situations. Situations have featured casual sexual relationships, sex with multiple partners, prostitution, and sexual situations such as incest, necrophilia, bestiality, and pedophilia.
- Rape is a major theme during Season 3 and 4 due to a serial rapist/killer character called The Carver.
- Surgeries revolving around sexual organs are frequent such as breast implants and penis enlargements, as well as genital reconstructive surgeries.
- Sexual fetishes often become subject matter explored in the series, such as group sex. In later seasons autoerotic asphyxiation is depicted due to a main character trying it out after hearing of it from a patient.
- Nudity in the series is limited to bare buttocks and brief glimpses of bare breasts with the nipples being covered.
- Surgical nudity is depicted.

- Shows all of the surgeries in extremely realistic, graphic detail.
- Violence in the program, outside of surgical procedures, is also quite graphic and featured things as trivial as a scuffle to things as extreme as self-inflicted injuries, murder, rape, torture, dismemberment, necrophilia, and even castration in one episode.

- Although the F Word was never heard, crass sexual references to sexual activity (i.e.: "cum", "cock", "pussy", and "dick") were often heard.
- The most frequent profanities in the series were "goddamn", "shit", and "asshole".
- Insults toward people such as "faggot" and "cocksucker" were heard on occasion.
