Item description

The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni - Treccani Edition of 1973. Superb edition in two volumes bound in leather, cover in embossed copper, by the sculptor Bronislav Lucovic. The printing was carried out by the Vatican Polyglot Typography on handmade paper with water watermark by the Magnani brothers of Pescia. The hand-crafted full leather binding with pure gold embossing is the work of the Conti Borrone bookbinding shop in Milan. Enriched by plates by Ernesto Treccani.
