The design of timber structures requires specific design procedures that are not easy to implement directly in standard FEM software. Felice Allievi explains how the team of Degree of Freedom utilises the vantages of SOFiSTiK features to develop an in-house design procedure that enables checking any timber building according to Eurocode 5. Consto skal bygge ny gang- og sykkelbru over Porsgrunnelva. - Vi er ydmyke og takknemlige for dette oppdraget. Brua blir et flott skue i sentrum av Porsgrunn, sier daglig leder i Consto Anlegg Sør, Roger Homdrom. Oppdraget er for Porsgrunn kommune, og den nye brua vil bli 204 meter fordelt på fem spenn. Brua bygges av stål og betong, og fundamenteres med stålrørspeler. Montasje av de fire bruseksjonene og bruklaffene utføres med kran fra lekter. Er dette Norges fineste barneskole? Borgafjellet barneskule er bygd med utstrakt bruk av #massivtre. Ytterveggene, innerveggene, etasjeskillene, tak, trapper, rekkverk og bærende innervegger er i massivtre. Nå er den flotte skolen i Bjørnafjorden kommune overlevert til avtalt tid. -Bjørnafjorden kommune er veldig godt fornøyd med at det ble HENT som utførte dette oppdraget. Skolen har blitt det vi ønsket at den skulle bli, den har gitt et løft til området og uteområdet kommer til å bli en sosial møteplass. Dette har vi klart takket være godt samarbeid, ryddig organisering og god dialog, forteller Ole-Håkon Sælen, prosjektleder i Bjørnafjorden Kommune.
