Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest days of the year for locally-owned restaurants, especially busy this year because the holiday falls on a weekend.
 
Captain Anderson’s restaurant in Panama City Beach seating a lot of couples on the day of romance and love.
Both staff and customers alike look forward to the day since it is a romantic holiday as much as it is a tradition.
 
“Valentine’s Day means work, at least in our family. There hasn’t been many valentines days that we take off, its such a popular night for going out to eat. Its mostly couples so you get overwhelmed with the atmosphere of love,” said Jimmy Patronis.
 
“There’s nothing real special we always like to do something random. We’re from Chattanooga, Tennessee so we came down here for valentines weekend,” said Billy and Nicole Hogan.
 
“Valentines Day is where we get all our friends and family together and we just enjoy each others company, eat more chocolate than we should, get each other flowers, and have a fabulous meal at Captain Anderson’s,” said Sheila Churchwell.
 
“I don’t know if I’ve ever spent a valentines day away from Captain Anderson’s,” said Jimmy Patronis.
