Riki Creger-Zier knows what it’s like to be the butt of a joke.
The wideout for the Seattle Mist of the Legends Football League, formerly the Lingerie Football League, was on the receiving end of one of the more humiliating acts of on-field taunting when the L.A. Temptation’s Ogom Chijindu celebrated a tackle by twerking on the back of Creger-Zier’s helmet.
The celebration could be considered asinine given the situation; Chijindu’s first-quarter tackle wasn’t even for a loss — Creger-Zier went for a first-down on the 5-yard grab.
Regardless, Chijindu was so impressed with herself that she felt compelled to squat down and rub her rump on the back of Creger-Zier’s helmet. She then sprinted out to midfield and saluted the crowd at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.
Chijindu, who plays wide receiver and safety, got her start in the league when she was competing in a Hooter’s bikini competition and caught the eye of some Temptation players and coaches. She’s since won titles with the Temptation and was named the LFL’s most improved player last season.
Chijindu may be laughing her ass off given all of the attention that has come with her celebration — check @iHeartOG on Twitter — but Creger-Zier got the last laugh as the Mist came away with a 24-20 victory.
