Harold F Hinton 86 of Gambrills, MD, died Sunday March 6th at Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie, MD. He was a sergeant for the Lakehurst Police Dept for 20 years before retiring and continued his career as a Security Guard for CIBA-Geigy for 20 years before retiring in 1989. Born in Indianapolis, IN, he resided in Lakehurst for 40 years prior to moving to Maryland. He was a Navy World War II Veteran serving from 1942-45. He coached Lakehurst Little League for many years and was a member of the Lakewood Elks. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Anna Pasalano Hinton, daughter, Mary Ellen Steger and husband Paul Edward of Annapolis, MD, grandchildren, Edward Strassle and Ellen Fergus, and great grandchildren, Olivia Ann Fergus, Brooke Emily and Trista Lynn Strassle. Visitation is Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Services are Wednesday 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
