The messages and telephone calls keep coming in. But words, quite simply, fail. At 11.30 yesterday morning Patrick Berhault, climbing together with Philippe Magnin towards the summit of 4545m high Dom de Mischabel, fell down the steep face that towers above Saas-Fee. Philippe could do nothing but phone the mountain rescue, but poor weather conditions prevented a helicopter search. Early this morning Patrick's body was recovered. Words fail. Writing these few lines has been an immense effort. He's left us, Patrick Berhault. In doing so, he takes with him some of our dreams. And leaves us with some of his!
