william s This real life couple should have taken the hint from how lame there romance was in this limp romantic dramedy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's hard to believe Neil Simon turned out this dud the same year "Lost in Yonkers" won him the Pulitzer Prize. You don't need binoculars to see the plot twists coming ten miles away. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a great movie by any standards, and the performances by Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin were over-acted. Kim Basinger can sing pretty well, but the scenes of her singing were not believable. Predictable and formulaic from the start, the movie was more interesting because of the real-life relationship of these two actors than the actual movie itself. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member i love love love this movie it is so romantic the love they have for each other. Her singing is great. I just cant tell you how much i love this movie. Everyone should watch it. I wish they would put in on tv more Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Not one of Alec Baldwin's finest. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A neat little "RomCom" about a silly, indecisive couple. Worth a watch, especially to see good ol' Alec Baldwin in his younger years as a quite interesting character. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Variety Staff Variety A stillborn romantic comedy of staggering ineptitude. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Derek Adams Time Out It's hard to spot vintage Neil Simon in his screenplay for this indulgent comedy... Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Vincent Canby New York Times "The Marrying Man" seems to have died en route from Neil Simon's brain to the movie theater, but exactly where and why is anybody's guess. An autopsy by a professional is in order.
