I don't know how any human on this earth could give this, forgive my pun, national treasure, a 46/100. That honestly doesn't really make much sense considering this is one of the most beloved movies of our generation. It is, and always will be, a national treasure.

National Treasure works because it is well aware that the premise is absolutely absurd and it doesn't try to hide it. Furthermore, if we suspend disbelief and accept the premise for the sake of the movie, while the characters don't always act in the most intelligent manner, one can see how they came to take the actions which they did. In that sense, the movie works and is really fun. Beautifully acted and directed with an outstanding score, as well.
