Klutzy Susan is divorced and the mother of teenage Julie. Lynette is married to Tom and the frazzled mother of four rambunctious children. Bree is the neighborhood's Martha Stewart, whose perfection masks major dysfunction. Ex-model Gabrielle, married to handsome and successful Carlos, wants to have her cake and eat it too. Audience Member Still good. The leads are still selfish, vile and malicious but portrayed as friendly, fun-to-hang-out-with housewives which I love love love. Still very cynical. Still very flamboyant without being obnoxious. Very well balanced. Oh and Susan is one dumb b*tch lol She makes me realize that in life, there's nothing worse than being dumb. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I found every season in the desperate housewives series to be absolutely fantastic. Season 2 brings whole new storylines which keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you found season 1 to be only average I recommend you try out season 2 you will end up falling in love with the show as I did. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Sadly, since season one was full of great ideas and plotlines, it seems the writers ran out of them. Season two, at it's best, is still great, but nonetheless below season one's standards. And while season two definitely did have some highlights, such as Bree dating her husband's murderer George and her alcoholism, Gaby's miscarriage and Lynette catching her husband with Nora, there are also many lows. Especially Susan, the main character of the series' first season, suffers when it comes to new plotlines. That's not to say Susan wasn't the only thing that suffered to live up to the previous season's standards. The mystery started out great, but its anticlimactic end left much to be desired. While most things could've undoubtably be executed better, season two did deliver a great finale and added a new depth to Gaby and Bree's characters, the stars of this season. And when has character development not veen welcome? Overall, an okay season that decreased in quality from the last one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Michael Slezak Entertainment Weekly I could say the writing on Desperate Housewives isn't very nice either, but it's still very rich. And who'd have it any other way? Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today Even at a reduced gear, Housewives is one of the medium's rare pleasures, one that should be able to ride on our affection for its actors and characters long enough for the writers to find their way home again. Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Henry Goldblatt Entertainment Weekly Even at its weakest, Housewives is better than 75 percent of network television, but the writers shouldn't be satisfied with that: They need to find a way to put these women in a room together. Rated: B Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Gael Fashingbauer Cooper MSNBC "Housewives" got off to a fast, and creepy, start in its second season, with a new housewife and a new horrible secret. Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Tom Jicha South Florida Sun-Sentinel Desperate Housewives has gone nowhere. All sorts of weightless story lines have been thrown up on the screen, then abandoned because they hadn't been sufficiently developed to make them stick. Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Bullz-Eye Staff Bullz-Eye.com There's nothing particularly forbidden about watching this show, but just do so in small doses.
