This portrait of Tamara de Lempicka is part of a work project that has been with me for years. Giving life and light back to so many artists who have been forgotten. It is perhaps not the specific case of Tamara, because in recent years she has been re-evaluated, but she is part of a chorus of voices that needs to make its presence felt

Italian artist Rossana Borzelli comes from a Roman family of artisans and artists and has always expressed her deepest emotions through this medium. Her striking portraits are inspired by her life experiences and those of female artists of yester years. Their silhouettes are ethereal, emotive and evocative of the struggles they encountered. Working with a diverse range of organic and traditional painting materials Rossana's pieces have great depth and texture, enduring totems to their subjects.
Rossana has displayed her artwork in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe.
