‘I am now tumor free’ – WWE star Maryse, wife of The Miz, provides positive update on her pre-cancer battle

WWE legend Maryse has revealed that she is now “tumor free” after undergoing surgery following a cancer scare.
The gorgeous 41-year-old Canadian shot to stardom in the wrestling world, where she met her future husband Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.

The couple, who have two daughters together, also enjoyed success with their own hit reality “Miz & Mrs” TV show.
However, model Maryse revealed last month that she was going under the knife after receiving a rare pre-cancer diagnosis that required a total hysterectomy.
She had the operation to remove the tumors in February - and now the WWE superstar has announced a positive update on her condition to concerned fans.
Maryse shared three photos on Instagram, the first of her in a hospital bed, another of her cuddling her young girls and a third of the scars on her tummy.

She then posted a lengthy message that read: “As you know, 2 weeks ago I went in to surgery to have my ovaries/uterus/tubes/cervix/omentum removed. I also had staging (removal) of the lymph nodes in my abdomen to see if the disease had spread.
“Pathology confirmed that it had not which is amazing news! More amazing news is that I am tumor free! The diagnosis did confirm that I had Primary Peritoneal Serous Borderline Tumors with involvement of ovaries/uterus/tubes!
“Just to give you an idea of the rarity – 7 cases per million of women in the US per year! The fact that we not only found this but found this at this manageable stage is unbelievable and literally saved my life as this would have most likely been lethal.
“Next, I will continue to rest following my surgery and then will follow up with specialists at MD Anderson in Houston.”

Maryse and Miz met while travelling the road in WWE and tied the knot in the Bahamas in February 2014.
However, things could have turned out very different after the 43-year-old former WWE champion let slip where he took the stunning blonde out for the very first time after plucking up the courage to confess his feelings for her.
Revealing all about their visit to the sex shop, Miz said: “There’s like swings and a mask with a ball and I’m like ‘are you into that?’
“She’s getting more and more weirded out…we go into the parking lot and we ended up talking the entire night up until our flight at 4 in the morning.
“So after I got done with that conversation with her I told myself ‘I need to find a woman like that. That’s the type of woman that I want.’
“And this was 2008 and we’ve been together ever since.”
