It’s been less than 24 hours since Emily Ratajkowski went pantless in Paris, but she’s already done a full 180 with her look.
The model, author, and podcast host has been making the rounds this Fashion Month, both on the runway and off. Today, she joined the starry front row at Loewe, which also welcomed Pharrell Williams, Shawn Mendes, Alexa Chung, Úrsula Corberó, and Brie Larson, among others. The longtime friend of designer Jonathan Anderson came, unsurprisingly, decked out in the brand.
EmRata put her own spin on look four from the Loewe spring 2024 collection: an unbuttoned navy blazer—sans undershirt—and a knee-length black leather skirt pierced with an oversized gold knitting needle. Ratajkowski opted to feminize the look, swapping the fisherman sandals from the runway look with a pair of strappy black heels. To accessorize, she carried a Loewe Squeeze bag and donned a pair of double cat-eye sunglasses with tortoiseshell and gold wire frames.
Ratajkowski’s open blazer doesn’t solely allow for her to show off her abs, it also displays the skirt’s craftsmanship. The knitting needle design, which has also recently been worn by Aubrey Plaza and Celine Song, was one of the most prominent motifs in Anderson’s spring collection.
Sexed-up takes on workwear seem to be a recurring theme as well this season. Anthony Vaccarello’s latest venture for Saint Laurent dared to ask the question, “What if a pencil skirt and pussybow blouse were completely sheer?” And earlier this week, at Dior, Jennifer Lawrence’s three-piece suit featured a plunging neckline, and Maisie Williams’s jacket buttoned at the sternum. Should we all be ditching the tops under our blazers? Lawrence, Williams, and Ratajowski are certainly making a compelling argument for the look.
