Met Gala co-host Jennifer Lopez knows a thing or two about feeling confident in her own skin.
“I’m finally at the point in my life where I love every part of myself unapologetically,” she told Vogue last November to celebrate the launch of a new product for her skincare line. “Every part of me—my body, my voice, my choices, even, like, my mistakes. All of it made me who I am and got me to where I am today. [My husband] Ben wants me to understand my worth and know my value. I feel even more relaxed and comfortable, which makes me feel even more beautiful than I have ever felt with someone else.”
Lopez has channeled all of that confidence and vulnerability into a new collection of silk lingerie with brand Intimissimi, which encourages women to “Embrace Your Power.” “I was always a sweatpants and T-shirt at home kind of girl, but I've realized putting on a silk robe after being in the dirt of it all week feels amazing,” Lopez says. “I feel confident, sexy, powerful, but also very relaxed and comfortable.” That vibe applies to the more elevated stuff, too—which she encourages everybody to enjoy on the daily. “I like wearing the fancy stuff more regularly because it makes me feel sexier. Like every day is special.”
And while Lopez cheekily says it's “maybe a little too intimate" to share when she feels most powerful, on stage is an important moment of confidence for the Leo. “There's such a beautiful exchange of energy when you're a performer. It takes a lot to get up on stage, and it's not for everybody. But I feel so blessed to get up in front of people and create these unique, one-of-a-kind moments.”
