In this episode, Jane and Lisbon investigate the murder of Jay Banner, a San Martinez local surfer and part-time marine scavenger, whose body was found buried in the sand on the beach. Jane and Lisbon, needing more information, decide to talk to Jays employer Greg, who just happens to be Lisbons ex-fiancé.
