We thought long and hard about which of the Vitra watches we would buy for the kitchen. Our choice fell on the Sunburst clock. A beautiful watch, which actually looks more filigree and smaller than one would expect based on the size indications. The clock is coloured, but rather discreet and not so colourful. The colorful variant is without second hand. Which is why she's really ticking very quietly. It is not absolutely silent (rather nothing for dormitories, if you are very sensitive) but really quiet. In the kitchen or in living rooms one does not notice the ticking. The watch is also quite light and very easy to attach. Full score.

I purchased this clock to a replace a "Howard Miller" clock with the more well known George Nelson "Ball Clock" style and there is a massive quality difference between the two. The Vitra made clock is far superior any every way and you can even tell from a distance. To be honest I expected to be paying close to $500 for a clock and getting more or less the same construction with a better name, but I liked the style of this clock better and the black and brass color matched the color scheme in my living room so I went for it anyway. I was surprised to find how heavy and solid this thing is made there is a very noticeable difference. Hanging the clock is easy enough it has a slot on the back to hang it safely. I would say you need to be very careful with the hands as they are very delicate and can easily get knocked out of alignment. Overall highly recommended I was on the fence for a long time but it was totally worth it.

Nous avons longuement réfléchi aux montres Vitra que nous allions acheter pour la cuisine. Notre choix s'est porté sur l'horloge Sunburst. Une belle montre, qui a l'air plus filigrane et plus petite que ce à quoi on pourrait s'attendre d'après les indications de taille. L'horloge est colorée, mais plutôt discrète et moins colorée. La variante colorée est sans seconde main. C'est pour ça qu'elle fait tic-tac très doucement. Il n'est pas absolument silencieux (plutôt rien pour les dortoirs, si vous êtes très sensible) mais très calme. Dans la cuisine ou dans le salon, on ne remarque pas le tic-tac. La montre est également très légère et très facile à fixer. Partition complète.
