Washed Out –  born Ernest Greene Georgia…a true Georgia peach~

~My Rating: Three (out of Five) thumbs up~

Why is it that I’m in love with every musician that walks?

Washed Out goes perfectly with Grimes. I have my Grime Out sessions, just them and I feel, relaxed, stress free, and happy.

The band’s name fits it’s music perfectly. It reminds me of a beach, and the ocean literally washing on shore… and the music reminds me of being at the ocean. The sounds are chill, relaxed, lo-fi, but happy. You can sit and listen to any of his songs and afterwards makes you feel like you just meditated for hours; his songs are that powerful. His first record (and only record), “Within and Without” was somewhat successful in the U.S.

Greene describes his earlier life as simple prior to beginning to make music. He attended University of Georgia and studied to be a librarian. He says in an interview with The Weekly Feed, “…I was working as a library, so you can imagine the culture shock between those two different worlds.”

“Feel It All Around” is a song so minimalistic but so powerful and magical. You know you love a song when it it transports you back in time to a specific event and you feel every emotion that you felt at that moment in time.

Washed Out – Feel It All Around

Anyway, I partially loved Washed out because of Greene, so I will let you research more of his music but leave you with this beautiful photo of him.
