- Carrie shares her bed and his campaign for city treasurer with Bill Kelley for weeks and Sam has a short lover.
- Steve Brady wants to go steady exclusively with Miranda, but even without any contender she doesn't feel ready to decide- till he finds the magic word. After three weeks dating and joining the electoral campaign of city councilman Bill Kelley, Carrie starts to feel like a politician's wife; Charlotte stresses her political greenness, Sam the aphrodisiac value of power, Carrie the electoral value of fashion-sense. Sam is bluntly picked up at a bar by Wall Street hedge-man Jeff Fenton, but gets doubts when she sees how short he is. At a Kelley fund-raiser, continuing to look for a potential husband, Charlotte learns a lovely couple met at a party where each girl brought an ex she doesn't dig any more; Stanford asks Carrie to introduce him to Bill's hot young campaign manager Mark, but he's only into other hunks. At Charlotte's used dates party, the adventurer Greg Miller she liked is snapped back by his suddenly jealous ex; when Jeff realizes Sam intended to dump him, he dares her to experience him in bed- the horny smurf performs great, but still gets nearly dumped because of labeling. Bill's secret desire to be watered on makes Carrie weary of all running liquids, but a political kink proves even worse.—KGF Vissers
- Carrie continues dating her politician beau but finds his sexual fetish to be anything but 'golden'. Carri has sex with Kelley. She calls him Mr President and goes on all the fundraisers with him. He likes golden showers and Carrie is worried. Charlotte works the room at Bill's fundraiser to find herself a new man, but she finds that the good ones are already taken. Stanford asks Carrie to set him up with Bill's campaign manager, but the manager rejects Stanford. Carrie cannot tell Stanford the truth and simply tells him that the manager was straight.
Carrie is running out of excuses to keep Bill from fulfilling with fetish with her. Samantha says that sometimes couples need to make compromises and Bill is certainly worth it. Before Carrie can say anything, Kelley dumps her as his campaign managers think dating a sex columnist is not good for his image before the elections. Carrie prints about Kelley's golden showers in her column.
Miranda doesn't know how to respond when Steve asks her to "go steady & exclusive" with him. There were no other candidates in sight, but Miranda did not want Steve to win by default. Miranda and Carrie bring out the Pros and cons list. Steve has a cute behind but makes really dumb jokes. Steve says "I Love You" right after having sex with Miranda. For Miranda that settles the issue.
Samantha dates a short man Jeff Fenton (Anthony Alessandro) who shops at the Boy's Department in Bloomingdale's. Jeff runs a hedge fund that's up 320% for the year. Jeff barely clears Samantha's nipples, standing up. Samantha discusses her predicament with Carrie and Charlotte. Charlotte says that anything less than 5 feet is unacceptable while Carrie says that whole conversation is very politically inappropriate.
Charlotte throws a "used date" party to find a new man. she gets this idea at one of Kelley's fund raisers where a couple tell her how they met at a party where each girl had to bring a date that they were no longer interested in.
Carrie brings Stanford (Willie Garson) and Samantha brings Fenton. Jeff finds out that this is a "used date" party and challenges Samantha to sleep with him. He claims he is the best. He really is. Samantha says that it was like having sex with a horny Smurf. But she runs away when she finds that Jeff shops at the boy's section at Bloomingdales (she looks at the label of Jeff's coat when he goes to the loo at a restaurant on their date). Jeff stops her and Samantha discovers that Jeff can laugh at himself (he says that the clothes are cheaper, and they fit him better) and can make Samantha laugh as well. They date for another 2 weeks.
Charlotte meets Greg Miller (Donnie Keshawarz) at her "Used Date" party. But once his ex (who brought Greg to the party as discarded goods) sees him speaking to Charlotte, she has sex with him in Charlotte's bed. Apparently, Charlotte thinking that Greg was a catch, made him new and shiny again to his ex.
