- Will has the Glee Club perform a song about underage drinking, but the message might lose impact when they come to school with hangovers.
- Principal Figgins expects the glee club to help promote Alcohol Awareness week. Schuester eagerly accepts and chooses it as song selection theme, but Sue maximizes Will's embarrassment after discovering he let coach Beiste drag him along to a country bar with song, dance and alcohol. The kids can't resist the forbidden fruit that is dangling before them, only to be cured by their hangovers.—KGF Vissers
- Principal Figgins teaches the student body about the danger of underage drinking, and the glee club is personally touched by the message. Meanwhile, Mr. Schuester and Coach Beiste indulge in a little fun of their own.—Fox Publicity
- Open with Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) telling Will (Matthew Morrison) the school has an alcohol epidemic on its hands. Students are even showing up to class drunk. Figgins has declared it Alcohol Awareness Week. He wants New Directions to perform a song highlighting the dangers of teenager drinking during an assembly.
Will and Emma (Jayma Mays) catch up. He says he's genuinely happy for her. She suggests he try dating someone. Sue (Jane Lynch) thinks Will is a future alcoholic and should start preemptive therapy. We see Sue pushed the former Aural Intensity coach down the stairs in order to be the coach.
Rachel's parents are out of town and Puck (Mark Salling) wants to host a drinking party with the Glee kids. She says no.
Rachel shows Finn (Cory Monteith) the song she's written for regionals. It's pretty awful (about her handband). Finn suggests that to be able to write an emotional song about life, she may have to do some living herself. She says she's never even tried a sip of alcohol and goes to find Puck.
Somewhat reluctantly, the rest of the Glee kids agree amongst themselves to go the party.
Rachel's party is initially terrible (two wine cooler limit). But when everyone starts to leave, she allows Puck to break into her dads' liquor cabinet. Things start getting crazy. We see how each of the kids handles booze. Rachel has a few drinks herself and starts hanging all over Finn. Finn and Kurt (Chris Colfer) are the only non-drinkers, Kurt because he wants to impress Blaine (who is hammered).
Angry that Finn is annoyed by her, Rachel starts a game of spin the bottle. Eventually she lands on Blaine (Darren Criss). The two enjoy a rather long kiss that both seem really into. This leads to them performing a duet of The Human League's "Don't You Want Me."
The next morning Burt (Mike O'Malley) pops into Kurt's room and sees that Blaine spent the night.
All the kids are still hung-over on Monday. Artie (Kevin McHale) suggests Bloody Marys for some "hair of the dog." They start getting drunk again and perform "Blame It (On the Alcohol)" by Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain. Will isn't happy they seem to be singing songs which glorify drinking. The kids say adults and popular culture are part of the problem. Anti-drinking songs are hard to find. Will plans for them to brainstorm the following day to find the perfect song.
Will tells Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) he feels hypocritical since he drank more when he was younger. He tells her things aren't going well in his personal life. She invites him to come with to her favorite honky-tonk bar.
Rachel asks Blaine on a date. Kurt is there when he gets the call and is surprised Blaine says yes. Blaine says he enjoyed the kiss with Rachel and is conflicted sexually. Kurt is upset Blaine is questioning himself. This infuriates Blaine. He thinks Kurt isn't being tolerant.
Will and Beiste have a grand time at her bar. They drink quite a bit and sing a duet of George Thorogood & The Destroyers' "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer."
Kurt stops over at Rachel's to find out how the date went. She had a great time with Blaine and seems legitimately interested in him. Kurt thinks she's being silly. Blaine is obviously gay and they will never have chemistry. She says she'll try and kiss him one time when they're both sober to find out for sure.
Beiste brings Will back home after their night. Will keeps on drinking as he grades papers and decides to drunk-dial Emma. As he makes the call, he drops the phone. He gets a voicemail and starts pouring his heart out.
The next day in school, Figgins tells Will he has a good feeling about New Directions' upcoming performance. He apologizes to Emma, but she says he never called her. Sue again says Will needs therapy.
Burt confronts Kurt about his having Blaine sleep over. Despite the fact nothing happened, his father thinks it was inappropriate. Burt makes reference to not knowing what same-sex couples do in bed. Kurt thinks his dad should do some research.
Backstage prior to New Directions' performance, Rachel brings out a cocktail of everything left in the liquor cabinet so they can calm their nerves. They perform "Tik Tok" by Kesha (announced by Figgins as "key-dollar sign-hah") and all seems to be going well until lead singer Brittany (Heather Elizabeth Morris) starts feeling drunk/sick. Near the end of the song, she projectile vomits directly unto Rachel's face.
Afterwards, Sue takes over the school's PA system. It turns out Will left the message for Emma on Sue's voicemail by mistake. Sue proceeds to broadcast the entire slurring, embarrassing message for everyone to hear.
Will and New Directions are called into Figgins' office. But instead of suspending them, he congratulates them. He thinks everything was a choreographed attempt to show the ills of drinking. The rest of the student body is so terrified they've stopped showing up at school drunk.
Will promises he'll stop drinking and makes the Glee sign a pledge they will as well -- at least until nationals. He tells them even if they slip up, he wants them to call him so he can make sure they are safe.
Rachel kisses Blaine. He immediately says "I'm definitely gay." Kurt expects Rachel to be crushed. Instead, she's happy. Having had a relationship with a gay man is just the kind of life experience she needs to help her songwriting.
