- The students give Will and Finn an assignment to work out the tension between them. Meanwhile, Santana is suspicious about Brody's side job.
- Santana tries to uncover Brodie's secret. Rachel and Curt ask her to move out. Sue and Blane have a sing-off - Sue wins and Blane has to stay in the Cheerios "and wear a thong". However it is all a plan though to bring down the Cheerios. Marley suggests that Finn should get a teaching degree - he likes the idea. Santana lures Brody to a hotel to prove his secret with Finns help. Finn tells Brodie he has to leave his future wife alone.
- Open with Tina, Blaine, and Artie addressing the recent animosity between Will and Finn. And the two Glee leaders are given an assignment, the two must perform a song together using the theme of feuds.
At a doctor's office, Rachel tells Santana that her pregnancy was a false alarm. Santana says that it should be a wake-up call for her and her relationship with Brody.
We see Brody in the lobby of a posh hotel. He walks over to a middle-aged woman and begins to sing "How to Be a Heartbreaker." Rachel joins the song from her apartment as we see Brody head upstairs with the woman. It appears Brody has been working as an escort.
Sue confronts Blaine for having been a Cheerio and not attending practice; Blaine replies that he and Tina only joined for that one day because they thought Glee club was over, and she pulls out a contract with a forgery to intimidate Blaine into helping her with Cheerios Regionals. He says no and she threatens him.
Ryder is a week into an online friendship with a girl named Katie and it appears to be going great. We flashback to Unique being angry with Ryder for messing up Marley and Jake's relationship. Katie thinks Ryder should challenge Unique to a sing-off.
Will tells Finn the reason he gave him the Glee club was because he took pity on him. Will is upset that Finn betrayed his trust and broke the code of a brother. Will is adamant they are doing the assignment and he plans to "kick your ass."
Brody has told Rachel he got a job as a cater waiter and lied about it, but Santana isn't buying it. She sneaks into Brody's bathroom while he's in the shower and snags his pager.
Sue has ruined Blaine's parents' credit, cemented his hair, and hired a plane with a rumor about him to fly over the school. Blaine says they are now officially feuding and they plan to sing-off: Blaine singing Mariah Carey and Sue with Nicki Minaj.
Marley and Jake talk about her kiss with Ryder. She gets him to admit that he's still flirting with other girls and they appear to move past it as she promises she loves only him. Jake wants them to "ice out" Ryder but she says she has to forgive him.
Ryder and Unique's feud-off is a mashup of Elton John's "The Bitch Is Back" and Madonna's "Dress You Up." Afterwards we learn Artie suggested the Madonna/Elton John combo. Unique refuses to shake Ryder's hand until he admits she is a girl. However, Ryder can't bring himself to do it and Jake calls him a "douchebag" for the fact Glee club is a place where everyone can be who they really are.
Sue asks Becky for help becoming Nicki Minaj in preparation for her battle with Blaine.
Santana drops by a dance class and confronts Brody about his "sketchiness." She says if he doesn't move out she's going to destroy him. This leads into her performing Paula Abdul's "Cold Hearted".
Will and Finn perform a N'Sync/Backstreet Boys mashup featuring "Bye Bye Bye" and "I Want It That Way." By the end of the song, Finn offers to "hug it out," but Will says he just can't. Finn thanks him "for everything" and walks out.
Santana returns home having just gotten a new job as a barkeep. Rachel and Kurt are upset she went to their school and performed a song and ask her to move out. They tell her to lay-off Brody or move out. She leaves, but assures them on the way that "I'm right about plastic man."
Ryder tells Katie about not being able to call Unique a woman. She's able to talk him down by explaining what truth really is.
Blaine and Sue's mashup is Mariah's "I Still Believe" and Minaj's "Super Bass." Afterwards, Blaine complains about all of the props Sue used to help her performance. Sue wins the battle handily, meaning Blaine is headed back to the Cheerios.
Marley stops by Finn's office to find him packing up. He says he's not sure what's next for him and she responds that he needs to "grow a pair." Finn thinks Will defines him and without Glee he is lost. She tells him to go get his teaching degree.
Ryder asks Marley, Jake, and Unique for a truce. He gets on better footing with all three of them. Unique tells him a story of being chased home by some of the "popular girls." They all say they have Unique's back. Kitty walks in and, although saying she wouldn't admit it on the outside, she's friends with all of them and that they have to keep the legacy of Glee club going after the seniors graduate.
Sue tells Blaine she's making him a co-captain with Becky. She tells him in the real world you are only as good as your word and makes him promise he's fully committed.
In the hallway, we see that Blaine returning to the Cheerios is all part of a plan he has with Sam to bring down Sue "from the inside."
Santana tricks Brody into coming to a hotel room believing he's seeing a potential client. Finn is hiding in the bathroom. Santana leaves and Finn tells him to leave Rachel alone without any good-byes. Brody says he loves Rachel and this leads to a huge fight. Finn gets the better of him and tells him to "stay away from my future wife."

Afterwards, Katie is telling Ryder she thinks it's great they all have each other's backs. Ryder tells her that he thinks he's moved on from Marley and asks if they can meet. Ryder thinks he hears someone typing in the back of the library and Katie goes offline.
