- Mercedes, Sam, Artie, and Blaine are in New York.
- Open with Rachel being given use of a private car. She gets in and sings "Downtown" while cruising the city. Kurt, Blaine, Artie and Sam join in and we see their lives in New York. Rachel picks up her friends and treats them to lunch. Unfortunately there isn't room for Sam and Artie.
Blaine couldn't be happier that he and Kurt are living their lives together in domestic bliss. He sings "You Make Me Feel So Young."
Artie is robbed on the subway. His laptop and the only copy of his screenplay are stolen.
Blaine comes home to find Sam on the couch playing video games. Sam talks about the terrible job market and Blaine thinks he needs to get out of the house. They walk around the city and sing "Best Day of My Life."
Despite being a freshman Blaine has found a way to be in six of Kurt's eight classes. Blaine says he was worried about suffocating Kurt. Kurt says no, but he probably doesn't mean it.
Sam gets a haircut in order to try and boost his chances for modeling work. His plan is to go out and make things happen.
Artie tells his friends about being robbed. He talks about feeling vulnerable in the subway. Rachel tries to compare something that happened to her when she first got to New York and Artie is upset that she can't relate.
Kurt tells Eliot that Blaine bought a piece of furniture with bedbugs. He thinks it's a omen of their relationship and says Blaine is making him feel claustrophobic. ? thinks what they have is worth fighting for. The two of them sing "Rockstar"
Rachel is starting to have second-thoughts about her town car. She thinks she's too isolated and gets out to take a walk.
To make it up to Kurt, Blaine lays out the floor plan for a workspace. He doesn't think the apartment is functional enough. Sam comes home and tells Blaine he's gotten his first job. He's also moving to an apartment with other models. Kurt comes home and is furious, referring to the residence as "my" apartment. Eliot's name is mentioned and it leads to a huge fight.
Blaine goes to Eliot's place and asks him to admit he's trying to steal Kurt. Eliot says he's not interested in Kurt that way and Blaine apologizes. Blaine realizes he's perhaps not respecting boundaries. The two jam.
Rachel tells Artie he was right. She wants them to take the subway together. She's given up her town car and they make plans to be commute buddies. They sing "Don't Sleep in the Subway."
Sam finds out his roommate at the model residence is Sam, and she is a woman.
Blaine returns home and tells Kurt he thinks he should move out. He thinks they should take a step back and consider their situation honestly. They think they're being smart and there isn't any discussion of splitting.
Sam's roommate is really into medication. It makes him really uncomfortable and he leaves.
While riding the subway Artie and Rachel spot the guy who robbed Artie. Artie pepper sprays him before he can steal a woman's bag. The police help Artie get his stuff back. Sam has moved out of the model residence and he and Blaine plan to find a place. Mercedes walks in.
Mercedes tells Sam she got lonely in L.A. Her producers allowed her to work on her album in New York in a two-bedroom apartment. The plan is for her to rent out her extra room to him and Blaine.
Rachel has her final sound check. She sings "People" and we watch a montage of the other New Yorkers as they settle into their lives. Everybody gathers for dinner that night and life seems good.
